Was excited to go there for dinner. When we arrived the place was almost empty. Very few customers. Stood at the front for a couple minutes and finally someone seated is. The waiter didn't come over on his own. We had to flag him to down after 10 minutes to get our order taken. Waited for our drinks for 9 minutes and then finally left. The worst service ever. I understand when a restaurant is busy having to wait but there was no one in there and now I know why. We just got up and left. Didn't get our drinks or food. Don't go there. I haven't been here for at least 2 years. Upon returning with a friend who was looking forward to dining here, I was very satisfied w/the Manager Robert. There was a slight issue with a product however he immediately addressed it. He came out to personally apologize for the issue, he replaced the item & even offered an additional corn muffin. Robert also considered a discount for the inconvenience. The hostess was friendly and attentive. She addressed the 1 food product with professionalism. Late post Famous Dave's was recommended to my hubby, so we finally tried them last night. We were coming home from a long day and didn't feel like dining in, so we ordered the rib tips and fries to go. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The tips are meaty but dry. As other reviewers said, dipping them and their crinkle-cut steak fries in the sauce tastes great. We got the devil's spit and rich and sassy sauces. So we went back to try this again. So we thought maybe Sunday afternoon evening was the wrong day to go there. So we went back and tried this again and it was the same shit show that it was the first time. This time they came and offered to take my food back. The servers that this was the first time she's ever seen. It looks so terrible and she was sorry. My sister and my niece's food looked better than mine. The service was lousy. The food is 100% nasty. Orland Park, IL location- I brought my family for a night out on Sunday with grand child. overall bad- do not go here, food was not great- some of the food(burnt ends) was hard and cold, all of the bathroom sinks in the ladies room were stopped up with water- found this out later after the food was served. No place to really effectively wash your hands. Drinks were bad. This use to be a great place to go for good food. I reachEd out to management and all they said was they are aware- no compensation. The server did what she could. i should have known that Sevice had changed- the parking lot was empty. Don't waste your time or money. I couldn't upload the email response but This was their response 20 April at 12:24 PM I am very sorry about your experience. We just had the sinks fixed last week and the problem was fixed is what we were told and until now no one told me that the problem came back. I will call our plumber back out. Thank you for letting me know. People keep not turning the sinks off thinking the are automatic shut offs which they are not and all 3 sinks go to the same line causing them to back up. As for the food I will definitely go over this with my cooks. The drinks our bartenders adhere to the reciepe and we do have a long pour option if you want more liquor in the drink. Not sure why so many people have had bad experiences here. Every time i come to this location it is always so good! Like literally everything i order i want it 2xs. The salmon and cornbread are my favorite items on the menu. The service is great. Sean Rauba is my favorite server, bartender, and manager. Sean always makes my day brighter when I eat at the restaurant. Sean is also my favorite catering delivery person during the holidays when I place a big order. Good bbq is hard to find in Illinois,some Famous Dave's locations are ok,but not this 1. The food was beyond nasty. The pulled pork was dry,the Mac and cheese was overcooked, and super mushy,the hot link was burnt in the middle. I ended up throwing it out(it was THAT BAD)...this was on a weekend and most places usually have fresh food and more staff on the weekends, this location was just all messed up...they forgot my pickles and onions too. I went to the famous Daves on May 26th 2025 to enjoy Memorial Day the waitress sat down at the table, and while she was taking the order she was laughing a lot and joking a lot with the party I was with the waitress she was completely American with perfect English the waitress and the customer had the same exact hairstyle so the waitress took her time said at the table and they were really joking about it the customer and I had the same exact order the first thing was someone came out the kitchen and just threw strange food down on the table that we did not order that belong to another table that was behind us the waitress came and took the food away hoping that we did not notice we're trying to alert the person they came out of the kitchen they just came and threw the food down and just walked away when the orders came my order was completely wrong she brought out food that I would never eat that was pulled pork when I tried to inform her that the order was wrong she would not admit that she got the order wrong she talked to her regional manager that was in the back I spoke with the supervisor that was on the floor her grandmother literally was in the building at the restaurant her grandmother literally stopped by the table to inform us that the young lady was her granddaughter is if that meant something the waitress completely messed up my Memorial Day holiday the regional manager said that I would have to wait another 20 minutes to get my order which it wasn't my fault in the first place because she could not believe that the waitress did the wrong order she never came out and spoke to us at all it at that point I had no trust I canceled the order and left I have been coming to Famous Dave for years it was very disappointing because of what the young lady had did I would never want her for a waitress again and the the waitress is passive aggressive she doesn't tell the truth she has this sassy personality and she spread lies when she messes up so I would not suggest anyone to go to Famous Dave's when they want to enjoy a holiday or special occasion because they don't take responsibility and when they screw up unfortunately they have no honesty about it I don't have any photos of what took place just wanted you to know what happened read more

This place is the worst! I purchased a two-meat meal it comes with two sides, an I purchased a different side and two muffins. I also ordered a banana pudding and pecan pie, plus a gallon of lemonade. The meat I ordered was roasted chicken and burnt butt ends. The chicken was old and extremely bland. Oh boy, those Burnt ends were a miss! No burnt taste and it didn't smell burnt it was tuff like it was nuked and bbq sauce thrown on the meat slapped on top of a slice of bread. When I pulled up I didn't smell the aroma of food cooking at all! I walked into the establishment it appears that it was clean. But I did not smell anything cooking. I got my order and the lemonade was leaking and the food wasn't giving any type of aroma or heat. I put the food on my back seat while driving home I still didn't smell anything. While opening the bag I smelled the garlic in the potatoes. They were barely any aroma from the chicken or burnt ends. I want other consumers to think twice before placing an order I want to help you save your money. Please order inside and not online. That was my mistake--let's continue. My side of broccoli consisted of three pieces, garlic potatoes had too much garlic powder, and Wilbur beans was nothing to talk about. The banana pudding was good the pecan pie looked and taste old. The lemonade was sugarless very disappointed especially after purchasing an entire gallon. I have had better food from a hospital cafeteria. Famous Daves do better. Consumers are dealing with shrinkflation, and higher prices and we are getting the worst end of the bargain. Famous Daves your barbecue wasn't barbeque ing. Absolutely horrible. To start off, the tables where sticky and unsanitary it was just downright uncomfortable to sit in. The service was mediocre at best but these things are only additions to the real reason this place sucks. To start off, the sweet corn was anything but sweet. Even with the accommodations of butter salt and pepper, it tasted like straight up water. Also, not much to say about the cornbread it's really hard to mess that up so that was a warm relief to all the other food. Onto the rib tips, mainly fat and almost no meat on the bones. Tasted ok, i left the establishment 40 dollars broker and still hungry. PLEASE don't waste your money and go to any other bbq restaurant you can get far better food for an even lower price. Finally, the portions for the sides where unbelievably small. I ordered a mac and cheese as my side (which was dry and didn't even taste good), and it came in a tiny plastic sample sized cup that couldn't even fill up an infant. Sorry famous dave's but please do better unless MAJOR changes are made I will never be showing up again. read more
