This place is less than ok, very old and dusty! The service was ok food was mid! But what really disappointed me was the dust on the blinds, water stains on the coffee pot, the water stains on the silverware and the chips on the on coffee cups. It's like they're ok with being ok. Coffee cups not that expensive to replace, proper drying, and cleaning of silverware not that hard and cleaning coffee pot and removing water spots only takes a few seconds. Prices also ok! Used to be our favorite breakfast spot but they have declined steadily. This time i saw my 3 year old eating food with mold on it. Definitely do not recommend look at Google reviews. I always enjoy the food from here. The dining experience is quaint, and the servers are generally nice. The highlight for me is the food - as it is always great for me. Only once have I been let down by this restaurant as far as food quality goes; order takeout if you know you will arrive at the restaurant exactly on time, and do not order from online delivery applications as the drivers are careless and will let your food get cold. Other than that, it's generally always a pleasant experience coming in during the morning and having a nice breakfast. My recommendation is the classic eggs benedict - though I am biased on this - it's my favorite breakfast dish from this location. Support your local family owned businesses! My boyfriend ordered the skirt steak and eggs, which on the menu is priced at $18.99. Upon checking our receipt that price changed to $22.99. I told the host the price was wrong on the receipt and she said that is the new price even though it's listed for $18.99 on the menu... I love the food! Consistently awesome food. I got a garden skillet with scrambled eggs and an english muffin. 4 stars because service was pretty slow, but I don't want to blame our waitress, i'm going to blame that she had very minimal space to move since the place is small and the alloted space/table ratio is not adequate. The order was accurate. The iriah skillet is potatoes, cheese, onion, bell peppers, with corned beef. The corned beef was sliced lunch meat. I repeat, SLICED EFFING LUNCH MEAT. It was alao bland. The most racist restaurant I've been to, as a Mexican family of 5 we've had business for a long time here but at some point in time the owner started hiring racist waiters against Hispanics and blacks, the waiters gave us sneers and were very rude to us and only checked up on us once and that was to take our order, our order was taking abnormally longer than usual to get to us, we asked what was going on and the waiter stupidly admitted that she had JUST put our order in. I waited for an hour to hear that my order had just been put in. Will never visit again, the racism here is out of this world. read more

We LOVE the food here! But EVERY SINGLE TIME something is messed up or they forget something. I always ask for cinnamon butter and they never put it in the bag. One time they even said to me before I left, because I MADE SURE to ask, that it was in the bag. Then I got home and of course it wasn't. Then today, same thing with the cinnamon butter and my French toast was RAW on the inside. Like I said the food here is delicious but I'm over them messing up my food and order every time I visit. Great breakfast spot. Close to the house, we go here a few times per month. The staff has always been friendly. Service is great too. Very clean as well. The food is of good quality and not overly expensive. On the rare occasion that we had an issue with or order (forgot toast, under cooked bacon, etc), it was resolved quickly without issue. The restaurant can get a tad bit "tight" when it's busy, not uncomfortable though. They can handle a larger group, but I probably wouldn't go here with a group of 12+ unless the place was empty. Like others have said, they don't cook the hashBROWNS; they come out white and mushy! When I told the waitress, after she walked away, the woman in the next table said that's why her husband won't come there anymore because he tells them to cook them well-done and they still don't cook them! The meal takes a long time to come because only one waitress is taking care of the whole place! There was another girl but she was mostly walking around and seating people. An hour and half before closing they start sweeping the carpet around tables. I told the guy that sweeping the carpet with a broom raises dirt and dust into the air and settles on peoples food and they should use a vacuum instead but he just shrugged and said they don't have one. If that wasn't bad enough, another guy started shaking out the throw-rug INSIDE the restaurant!!! I am a big fan of breakfast and I do not mind driving to get to a good restaurant. This one however is about a two minute drive from my home so when they opened I gave them several opportunities to win my business. I have enjoyed the food at skillet house however there were a few occasions where myself or my wife had to send our food back because it was cold. I understand that all of the ingredients to my skillet may not be made to order but it should all be hot and the cheese should be melted. Our last two trips here we had the same server and I hate to say it but she was not a clean person. Not only was her shirt and apron dirty but she had some hygiene issues as well. Went here for lunch yesterday, and I was the only one there that was not eligible for the senior discount, but hey, old people seem to be in the know for good cheap food so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The lunch menu has about 20 specials for $5.99 which included soup (tomato or chicken noodle that day) and choice of fries or fruit. I had the turkey, bacon and cheese croissant with chicken noodle and fruit. The soup was good, but had a few too many noodles and a complete lack of chicken meat. The sandwich was great - the turkey looked to be from an actual roasted turkey breast and so was the fruit which consisted of a few grapes, a piece of banana, a piece of watermelon, a piece of honeydew and a piece of cantaloupe.
