This was my first time dining here at this particular location. We've always had takeout. We started with the burnt ends appetizer and I had a combo and the kids had their kids meal. The burnt ends were alright. They are in cubes and slightly sweetened with a side of fries onion sticks. The kids liked their wiki-stix and it kept them preoccupied while waiting so I appreciated that. The service was good. Our server checked on us often and made sure we had everything. I liked the roll of paper towels on the table for easy access. The kids rib dinner came with 2 ribs. Both didnt seem off-the-bone tender. I was a bit worried it was undercooked. It didn't take too long for the food. The chicken that I ordered was seasoned well but small. Part of it was a little dry but glad that it was cooked all the way. Very adequate place for BBQ. I went for happy hour in the bar area, so I don't feel too bad about the prices or portion sizes. The food would have been good if you had this at an airport, if you know what I mean. Dry riblets, small but juicy wings, and the Georgia chopped pork sandwich was so dehydrated that I picked off the meat and left the rest. FYI - the pork was dried and pulled into shreds, not chopped at all. The drinks were fine. Tables were sticky but there were wet wipes and paper towel rolls on the table, so we cleaned the tables ourself. The sauces were so mid; I ended up mixing them to get a punchier flavor. read more

I had made a pick-up order and didn't set foot inside their restaurant but their exterior big and has a franchise feel to it; it appears to be spacious and to have family style dining. The portions of the proteins are small, but generous on the carbs; my wife and I two plain slices of buttered bread, which we didn't eat, and overly sweetened bread muffin. It's disappointing to open your take out container to find skimpy cuts of brisket and ribs given the price we've paid. Their Texas beef brisket is tender with a fair amount of delicious fat; it pairs well with their side of Wilbur beans and potato salad. Their rib tips are exceptional, a good balance of char and seasoning; easy for your teeth to dance around the ribs to get to the meat. Coleslaw is lacking some umph, so I had to use a tad of my own mayonnaise to help with flavor; otherwise all the sides are palatable. The bbq feast plate is the one to get because of the huge portion, but it's not blow your mind bbq. I would probably go to a local place if it were closer. The fries portion of the feast plate is huge but the corn tasted frozen. The ribs weren't super tender either. The food didn't really blow me away but I left full. So ordered to go on Uber Eats! The Feast for 2/3! Yes that's where it's at! So I had a few modifications but in the app it doesn't let you change anything. I called them personally and asked if I could Modify my Ubereats order. The young lady on the other end was happy to help me! So I got the feast for 2 with chopped pork no bbq sauce and no coleslaw sub Mac and cheese! Oh and Memphis Style Ribs! That's with no sauce and just dry rub! Delicious It did take awhile for them to deliver it but with what I received I was just fine doing alittle reheating! The food was amazing! It feed me, and two big guys easy and with leftovers. Had an amazing feast at this location with my girlfriend and her friend, I love getting the rib rack with the broccoli and mashed potatoes. The ribs go really great with the super spicy Wilbur's revenge sauce. The ultimate burger is an amazing choice as well. If you have enough space for dessert I highly recommend the bread pudding, one of the best dishes I've ever had! Ordered takeout on a Saturday evening. The process of ordering was superb! I was able to order individual meals for a family of 5 with ease. Online ordering even had an option for each meal do be labeled and customized which I thought was very easy and convenient for a family. However, the food, was not as desirable as the ordering experience. My rib tips were tough and lacked flavor, my mashed potatoes were lumpy, and my corn on the cob was dry. My daughter ordered the kids ribs which tasted baked, not grilled. My son ordered a kids burger which was hard and the fries were over cooked. I so desperately wanted to like this place...but I didn't. But let's start off with positives- our server, Louis (Luis? I don't remember, unfortunately) was amazing. He was so friendly while so efficient and attentive. But the food is where it fell short. The ribs were really soggy, as if they were frozen and heated too quickly, the same with the corn. My friend ordered mac and cheese for the side and got broccoli. Not the biggest mistake in the world because things happen, but dang. Would have been nice to try the mac and cheese. I tried Famous Daves for the first time. The meats were tender. I do not think anyone bbq beats North Carolina hands down. But they had a roasted chicken on the menu that had such great flavor. I would return for the chicken. I tried the burnt ends they were tender but I like some fatty skin. The pork burnt butt was okay. The different layers of sauces did not impress me. This time it was a little bit dry and a tougher than it should be. Still pretty good though -cornbread is out of this World! If you don't know what to do for a side and They'll give you one or two extra pieces of cornbread just take it! -Mac & cheese really wasn't anything special. Great for kids but nothing I would think about afterwards -beans my dad really loves. I personally think the beans at roady's off I-90 are better but these are also pretty good. -potato salad I got just to try. Won't be doing it again. I have been trying to order through UberEATS for two days but every time I placed an order someone accept it then canceling it for two days straight! I really liked their meats! We had brisket, buzz, chopped pork, corn bread, and mac and cheese. Combos come with toast so you can make your own sandwich if you like. Burnt buzz is so good! It was my favourite :) I wish they could open more locations. They had our order to go really fast. You can also place your order ahead through their website. Staff was really friendly and patient. They enjoyed their work. I did notice that staff in the restaurant wasn't very attentive about people waiting to be seated. Some went away but you can always ask. read more

We ordered 3 sides, broccoli, collard greens, and their jalapeño Mac and cheese, which wasn't spicy at all Beware of their BBQ sauces they serve in mini cups with their combo meals. Bad Service, Bad Food, Bad Management I've been to Dave's before, it's usually a marginal but o.k. fast-casual chain. My experience at the Tukwila store was a new low. Let's start with the food. Burnt and cold. That seems like a challenge but they managed it by not heating the BBQ on my salad. The "Brisket" wasn't the slices that they claim but rather strange chunks. I'd speculate they make up a tray and just put them in the fridge. Then there was my partners Rib Tips & Brisket. They were cold as well - again speculating, I'd guess the 15 min difference in arrival time of his entree and mine was involved. My dinner partner called the manage, who agreed burnt & cold. Didn't argue over refunding the entree, but to make it clear the issues at this store are top down, while he did refund the burnt/cold entree, he charged for the sides. When we don't do somewhere in Bellevue for her bday lunch my friend picks Famous Dave's, personally bbq is not my first choice but it's her bday. There were three of us arrived 11:30am this on a Sunday 7/28/19 and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was actually the bartender and she apologized for not getting to us sooner we actually hadn't been sitting to long before she addressed us. She was friendly and ver welcoming. I think she checked on us three times cause we were too busy catching up and weren't quick to make our selection but she never made us feel rushed. One of the times my one of my dining buddies mentioned the fried chicken special. Our waitress explained it had become so popular they did it only on Wednesdays and Sundays. All three of us went with a version of the fried chicken meal. One of my friends got chicken rib combo, the other with the hot link and I went with all chicken you got to select two sides and it came with a corn muffin. Mine came with a wing, thigh, breast and drumstick. I got the greens and corn on the cob. I believe it was $14.99 for mine my companions dishes cost more. I guess this is on me. I should know better, but Famous Dave's was convenient to where I was at. I have travelled so much recently that I've not had any REAL Texas BBQ. I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a combo with the "Texas sliced brisket" and BBQ chicken. The brisket had very little is any smoky taste/flavor. I had to drown it in their BBQ sauce to be able to eat it. The BBQ chicken wasn't much better. It reminded me of BBQ chicken of my youth after it had been cooked, refrigerated and reheated the next day. Overall a huge disappointment, but mostly in myself, for taking a chance on "Texas BBQ" 2300 miles from Central Texas! Lesson Learned....AGAIN! read more

Our club just had a meeting at Famous Dave's in Tukwila, WA. This was the first time we used this location. When we made reservations, we asked that we use the meeting room for an hour BEFORE we ate. Unfortunately, the waitress spoke little English and came in just as the meeting started and started taking orders. Not good. We got a five-minute respite from the waiters only to have her come through to take drink orders. And then the food came. I ordered brisket and expected something far better. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The corn on the cob was soggy. The steamed broccoli was fine. If I have a choice, we'll choose somewhere else to meet. read more

Lunch here with a friend last week. Had to try their fried chicken offering. It was all one could expect. Nicely fried, leg and thigh plus a small serving of garlic mashed potatoes, a corn muffin and four yummy pickle "coins". Service was a bit slow, and other than taking our order and delivering our food and check, there was no attention. The restaurant was not busy, a couple of workers were hanging Halloween decorations, and our waitperson was seated at a table chatting with someone as we left. I've only eaten there one other time. Worst bbq I ever had and I travel often for work and have been to the best places in America and this place is just gross. All meats were just fat or the brisket looking like a bbq Salisbury steak. "Fried" chicken was soggy. I'm almost positive my food was nuked in a microwave from food from the day before. My stomach instantly hurt as I left. In terms of service was subpar.
