Beef Pancake Roll (1) 酱香牛肉卷饼 (不辣)

Yummers!!! I'm here on a work trip and this is one of the many places within walking distance of the hotel. Hadn't eaten all day so I just grabbed a little of everything, you can never go wrong with Ube Tea We did arrive near closing time but the staff were still energetic and attentive, super friendly group. The food was delicious and I'll definitely come again while I'm here.

Food came very quickly Food is all ok but nothing was great or amazing. The dough on the beef pancake felt too doughy. The fried pork bun, the bottom could be fried more. We used to love dough zone but each time we just feel disappointed. For a place that is named "DOUGH zone" I wish the dough part was better. We came because we got the Costco $80 for $100 gift cards and they had an additional (I forgot if it's) $5-10 off. Without the gift card I wouldn't have came... but we used to love dough zone back a few years ago... did food quality go down? Especially the dough part...

My co workers and I stopped here for lunch. Friendly staff and we were quickly seated and taken care of. I got the passion fruit green tea and it was delicious! If you like sweet drinks definitely try it. So yummy and refreshing. We got a cucumber salad, chicken dumplings, chicken potstickers and vegetable pot stickers. The food came out quickly and fresh. Such great service! First time trying dough zone and I would come back if I ever find myself in seattle again.

This was my first time trying the Dough Zone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nice, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good and our server was very friendly. We tried a variety of items. The Green Onion Pancakes were delicious. The Spicy beef sandwich was good as well. We had an order of the Five Spice Beef Shank - for me, the beef was a little tough, but the spices were good. The Chicken wontons were good, but were served cold - I'm not sure if that is normal or not. I would have preferred them hot. We also ordered some noodles which were tasty. We rounded it off with an order of the steamed Broccoli which was really good - crunchy with a hint of spice to it. Overall, I enjoyed most of the meal and I'd try this restaurant again.

Local Washington dim sum without disappointment. Everything was great and amazing. Do not pass on the soup dumplings, cucumber salad, or anything else. Everything on the menu is good, ono grindz.

    Pork Xiao Long Bao

Xiao Long Bao lovers, this is the spot! If Din Tai Fung is all about clean, consistent flavors, this place has that extra punch of soul and depth. Think of it as a place with more "handmade charm." [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want a nice ambiance and polished service, go to Din Tai Fung.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're after something more casual, flavorful, and budget-friendly -- come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is just okay (neither great nor bad), and the interior isn't anything special, but the food is really good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Honestly, I think their xiao long bao and cucumber appetizer taste even better than Din Tai Fung's. We usually order the Dan Dan noodles and the shrimp & pork potstickers, but today we tried the steamed version -- juicy and delicious! The Q bao is my husband's favorite. They also serve black bean noodles (jajangmyeon), but that one's a miss for me. There are several Dozone locations around Seattle, and the flavor can vary slightly by branch.

Dough Zone has been a staple local dumpling chain in the Seattle area similar to another popular international dumpling chain - but from what I've seen Dough Zone has been a more affordable option with similar quality. I've visited Dough Zone at many different locations and can confidently say that they've all been very consistent in their quality of food and their environment is all familiar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Renton location isn't too different from the others, I do like that it's in an area filled with other activities and shopping, so this Dough Zone makes it convenient to grab a bite after being around in the area for a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are tasty and filled with warm soup. I prefer the pork and beef options over the other fillings. The pan-fried dumplings are good, the crispy outside gives for a satisfying bite. The flavour isn't anything special though. I thought the noodles were okay but my partner liked them. Always a solid place to eat, will come back again.

I absolutely recommend dough zone! Dough Zone is incredible! They have great vegetarian options as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dough zone has a relaxed, yet modern vibe. It is a bit noisy in there, especially on Saturday nights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very kind and very efficient. They provided quick and professional service. The food was great. We had delicious noodles, veggie pot stickers, and veggie steamed dumplings! They were all fresh and yummy and filled with flavor. I highly recommend dough zone, and if you are vegetarian, yes, they have a lot of vegetarian options!

Normal hot water cup that the table next to us got
    Lillian S.

I would like to give Xiner her flowers because she was nice, and actually spoke to us? Once we were seated no one spoke to us. No one greeted us and asked how we were doing. When my table asked for hot water there was no "can I get you anything else?" Not even and "ok". The hot water came in plastic cups? Idk about you but in my life time plastic and hot things don't really go together. I looked across the table and the table next to us got a cup that you would expect for hot water and a kennel. When we were done ordering we put it at the end, a few people walked by us and we actually waived someone down and handed it to a lady walking by - didn't review the order with us, just took it and left. Overall just feeling super disrespected. The staff also left a tray on the limited table and we took as many photos as we can, as documented as staff would come by and drop off food around the tray, and when there was no more space they started putting the food on the tray. When things finally started filling up we flagged someone down to grab the tray, we asked "can you take the tray"and he reached for the bamboo steamer, "oh and the tray" his response "yeah I know" and walked away. Why was everything a chore? Just so you know, the serving tray does not get washed as regularly as dishes. The food tastes like how the franchise intended. But when you walk away from a place where you're feeling like you never want to come back - how the food taste doesn't matter at that point. I've been to the dough zone in Bellevue and the experience is truely night and day. This group needs customer service training.

Food was good and serving size was enough to share between 2-3 people per serving. Lots of variety to choose from on the menu. Recommend for a light lunch for small to medium size group.

Quickly seated despite a very busy lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious and clean dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The QBao seemed slightly smaller than the ones we get in the Issaquah location. Mala noodle wasn't spicy enough. We always love the cucumber salad but definitely a bit pricey. Street and parking garage available.

I had visited a Dough Zone in downtown Seattle a couple years ago and enjoyed it. A group of us ladies came out to this location for lunch. I like that their menu is available on line. You check off the items you want on a paper left at the table, a staff member comes and confirms your choices with you and brings your drinks order. As the name states, there is a lot of dough involved in your meal. Fried and boiled dumplings abound. So many options. The menu is pretty large and we all chose a couple of items. Food arrives as it is ready so the dishes, brought by food runners, rotated throughout our meal. First, we started with beverages. I went with a pot of hot jasmine tea. It was light and floral with a lovely scent and mild taste. Others in the group went with cold beverages, of which there are a several. The cold beverages arrived in lidded plastic cups with a straw. I did not try the soup dumplings but one of the ladies was able to let the rest of us know to not just bite into the hot dumpling or you would scald your mouth! Make a small hole with your teeth and gently sip the broth out before you take a big bite to get at the meaty center. Pro tip ya'll. Don't burn your mouth. The spicy beef bun was so good! I could definitely eat a couple of these. The fried vegetable pot stickers are a bit greasy and definitely benefited by dipping into one of the sauces available on the table. I'm glad the menu has vegetable offerings. The chive pancakes are crispy, also a bit greasy and tasty. Chop sticks are on the table, no forks. We didn't ask for a fork and some of us were having a very entertaining time practicing our chop stick skillz. The restaurant is clean as are the restroom at the back. The dining room is bright and sunny. Staff were all pleasant. We ordered plenty of dishes (more than mentioned here) and left quite satisfied. This is a good lunch stop as it's right near The Landing shopping area and we walked off lunch with a fun afternoon of shopping.

Ask the Community - Dough Zone Dumpling House - Renton

I heard the vegan dumpling option is no longer vegan because they added chicken powder. Is it true?

Yes, they now claim they are only vegetarian. Not sure how ground up chicken is vegetarian. But vegetarians never made sense to me

Hello I was wondering what do the frozen soup dumplings look like and how long would I have to steam them at home if I were to buy them?

The frozen dumplings come as little frozen dumplings, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. They look like little compact balls. They come with cooking instructions. Pretty much you put them on the steamer on something that won't stick (sometimes…

When are they open? I've been here numerous times over the past couple of days and have always managed to be there when they are closed. It doesn't help that they aren't taking any calls either.....

Hi there! Our location opened on 9/28, with the soft opening promotion week ended yesterday, we are expecting everything back to normal. Hope it helps!

Based on the 159 reviews, I am going to assume maybe the business changed owners and the reviews reset. I will say, I have been reluctant to return here. I don't recall the food or service being impressive. However, on this visit, the service could not have been friendlier and the food was far better than I remember. In the past, we always came here for lunch and even though we came during lunch hours today, we ordered from the dinner menu. We wanted to try an entrée not offered for lunch and it was pretty good. This place did a couple things really well. Their soy sauce was homemade and their chili oil was full of flavor. I'll also say we were the only no Asian's in the restaurant and it's always a good sign when you have an ethnic business and your people are your main customers. We probably won't rush back, but I trust these guys to serve a respectable meal.

Many speaking mandarin, lots speaking English. But anytime I go to a place and it's not filled with Americans but the people the cuisine represents, it's always a good sign. We were immediately greeted and they have quite a few tables. Many of them are the big round tables with the lazy Susan in the middle. Typical and traditional for a family dinner experience with Chinese food. As it's meant to be served and shared with everyone. You don't typically order your own plate. On our visit we ordered the Westlake beef soup, fried eggplant with spicy garlic, seafood chow fun with gravy, and the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. Every single dish was served piping hot and fresh. The chow fun had a hint of the wok char which is super important. And each dish was delicious. The eggplant was so tasty. The garlic extra crispy and not bitter at all. The crispy coating around the tender eggplant- exceptional! The chow fun was well balanced. The seafood cooked perfectly. The chicken wings, I only wish it had more topping on it. But fried well, light batter and seasoned to perfection. The soup was light and with a little white pepper, I was so satisfied. We will definitely be back. The service was great. They were friendly. Just a tip, they don't take American Express.

But for those in the know, Triumph Valley is really known for their dim sum menu! Off the beaten path, you have to take State Highway 167, as its just south of the large IKEA store. But definitely a culinary landmark if you are a constant diner of Chinese cuisine, and dim sum afficianado. There are only three dim sum, or dumpling lunch providers in or around the City of Renton (technically two). This is one of them, and if you are not early, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends. But the staff bravely soldiers-on with their dilligent service. The restaurant's ambiance takes advantage of its interior with strategic lighting in their dining hall. Very utilitarian, while trying to ensure a little bit of style. They also modernize the experience with electronic waiting and ordering system on portable touch screens. It actually helps the service. No paper. As for me, my focus is on the dim sum. All of my favorites are there. And, as diner of one, it was hard not to want to order everything. So, I ordered the "basics" of a dim sum lunch. One order of Shiu Mai, one order of Har Gow, and one order steamed BBQ Pork. It was pretty much all you need along with an order of tea, as well as a Diet Coke to wash it all down. There were other traditional dim sum selections, but I knew my tummy (and wallet) wouldn't absorb it all - as much as I would have liked. Steamed beancurd sheets, beef meatballs, steamed sticky rice in banana leaves... chicken feet, it was all there. The best way is to make a plan, and invite lots of freinds to make sure you can try EVERYTHING! Yes, there are other menu items, like I said, but for Dim Sum dining in Renton, this is the place!!!! The food handling rating is EXCELLENT and the restaurant looked clean. The staff was delightful, professional, full of smiles, and had my order ready for pick-up right on time.
