We have had problems in the past but the manager always made them right so we tried again. Jaziel was the server and when our meals came out each one was wrong. The took them back and brought 2 back correct. The other one, a pulled chicken sandwich (they orig brought a pulled pork) they came back out with - it was cold and the chicken pieces were fat and disgusting. I tried to ear it but bit into a bone-a good sized bone. I was lucky I didn't break a tooth or choke on it. Brought the situation to the servers attention. He said he would get manager. Chance came over and we explained the situation-he said sorry and walked away. I couldn't eat any more of the sandwich (Only ate 1/8 of it. Server brought bill and we were charged for it. We never got an itemized receipt. As we were leaving we mentioned to the server and manager that we planned on writing a review and then they said the bill had been rung on two separate bills and messed around without telling us what was going on-I had asked for an itemized receipt and they never could give me one. Then they handed us another receipt for $10 less. Not sure if they charged us twice or not. When we were leaving Chance said it was only a bone - he thought we were upset over nothing and he was upset that he felt he had to take $ off. To say the least, we will not be back! Showed up with the girlfriend about 6:45 PM on 10/4/14 we asked how long of a wait the hostess said about 30 min I asked can we sit in the bar she said well you have to wait for in there to before being seated. So we just went and stood by the bar and had a beer while waiting after waiting until 7:30 the bartender asked if we were gonna have any food I said yes but we are waiting to be seated he told us that at the bar just sit when a table available. Hostess = Strike 1..... So we took a table and the bartender told the waiter we needed menus the waiter came over right away and took our drink order and we ordered the BBQ nacho appetizer this is about 740. Time passes 800 now still no drinks or appetizer I went to bartender and got my beer and girlfriends diet soda about 805 our waiter returns with our drinks which he took back cause I already got them. Waiter = Strike 2.. 25 min for a Heffe and a diet soda c'mon... When he did bring our drinks he took our dinner order we both had burgers this is at 805 we ordered our appetizer at 740. Finally about 830 we get our burgers still no appetizer. Asked waiter where it was about ten min later 840 a female server brought our nachos which had been sitting so long the chips were soggy and everything was cold on the nachos. We told waiter take them back there not edible and cold. At this point we asked for check he brought our check he had charged us for the nachos and also the 2 drinks we sent back cause I went to the bar to get cause he took so long. At this point it is about 900 we ask to speak to a manager we waited until 925 before waiter came back and said no manager was available at this time and to call tomorrow to speak to manager I paid the bill and left need less to say I didn't call because I would of said something I probably would have regretted later. Usually my family and I love famous Dave's, today however, was disappointing. My wife and I both got brisket, which like I said is usually excellent but today was gooey and disgusting. How does it even get gooey? My daughter got St. Louis ribs and they were so covered in BBQ sauce that we couldn't even see the ribs. Not for us. The bbq pulled chicken tasted like rotisserie chicken with bbq sauce. Such small portions for the sides... And not very good, like bulk food service sides delivered weekly. Worst barbecue I've ever had. Service is super slow even when you call ahead. They are completely incompetent

My one year old daughter, my girlfriend and I went to this restaurant thinking it was going to be really good but we where very shocked. I can understand the 30min wait time to be seated. That's fine. But the almost hour wait time for our food got me a little hot especially when my one year old is saying she is hungry/thirsty and our waiter forgot her drink so she drank my tea that I had. The food was nothing like I thought it would be. I had the brisket and they say its smoked for 13hrs and there's no way because in my experience of smoking meats there's always a smoke ring and this had none. It was very dry and with almost no flavor. My mashed potatoes where cold and had a bean in them from someone else's dish. My daughter had the chicken tenders which where not tender at all and the fries where jojo's. My girlfriend had the chicken tenders also and was not pleased with her meal at all, she stated that they tasted like store bought tenders. You know the frozen kind. Our waiter was all over the place. I had to ask another waitress for my check. We sat there with empty plates and glasses for about 35mins waiting for it. We will never be going back to this place. Food is good, but the hospitality needs a lot of work. I tried to place a to go order while I was shopping and pick up afterwards. Just witnessed the manager sitting in a booth eating lunch and wrapping a bin of clean silverware with napkins at the same time. Really makes me question the sanitary policies of this restaurant. The health department needs to drop in. read more

Food was ok, nothing amazing and I think for what I got- over priced. Place was kinda busy but service was really, really slow. Waitress was nice but not much attention to our table. Had to work to get her attention to ask for a knife and then for water. Probably first and last trip to that place. I can get better service at the Outback. read more

Terrible overall experience. Ignored upon seating ourselves in the bar. When we did get the servers attention we could not keep it. She did not stick around l;ong enough to answer our questions, 2 appetizers under cooked chicken tenders, nachos were soggy and confusing which they got wrong. Brisquet was like fatty lunch meat on a soaked up peace of toast. 2 meat combo brought wrong meat which they did correct but it was poorly cooked fish on a white paper pooling the grease under the fish. Server was too busy talking with her girlfriend at the bar to stay attentive to her guests. Keeping her attention was diffucult then getting her back to the table was more difficult. When we complained we got attitude from who i believe was a manager and way more attitude then that from our server, she was very very pissy with us. Having been too many BBQ places b4 this was very bad. Folks next to us got there beer comped cause of discrepencies, and the folks on the other side of us told us "NOT GOOD". another interesting point when we first order a beer she never even asked my son for ID, he is 24 but looks about 17. This made me wonder if the training in a fairly new restaurant is not sufficient. as the experience went on I saw that that was the case. Poor staff, poor organization, poor low quality of food, and really bad attitudes. Never again. My first time but my son had Silverdale Wa. Famous Daves and loved every time. Since they just opened I didn't expect them to be altogether yet, but I was wrong! Walking in it feels like they've been here forever and really settled into Yakima nicely- awesome servers who are super sweet and really know their stuff and the food came out hot and yummmy. You can even see their smoker (I assumed they did that elsewhere but it's obvious by the taste too that they smoke their meat in house which is a huge plus!) we've been for dinner but yesterday I got some to-go since I work in the area and it was just as good! Thrilled we gave this place a try- best BBQ I've found since moving from Virginia (yeah- we're serious about our BBQ...) and there was enough left over for lunch the next day. Next time we want to come in and try some of their beers on tap- I couldn't count them all but the manager said there were over 50 I think and looked like some good craft beers too- along with some football on the many huge tvs. Looking forward to having this spot as a new option for going out! read more
