I waited in line until they finished serving the other customers, I had to tell them that I have a return. The first person who's at the register went out her area and didn't even look at me until I said I have a return. She just said "oh, yeah" then pointed at the other guy in the other register. So again I waited for the other guy to finish helping the other customer. I know the guy saw me and heard what i said to the lady at the first register but he was also going to get out from where his register is until I said I have a return. He moved slowly to the other register where I was standing close to and the look on his face just says he doesn't want to help me. He spoke on his radio looking at the other staff helping a customer with shoes and told him that there is a return. I gave 2 stars because their online store has more bigger and extra wide size selections. Zero star for customer service.

It's best to go and get what you need and get out. It may help the line move quicker. It's a fun place to visit limited in the newer edition of shoes. You get a good deal or fair enough discount off shoes. I wear a special or width shoes and so it rather limited for me. For mostly people, they will be able to find something nice. If you can wait out the line before getting to the front door, it's worth the wait. Good to go earlier in the day or much later in the day if possible. Everyone seems to like this store. The line for paying for items seems longer than the number of people roaming around the store. It isn't trying for the DSW boutique experience, and they focus more on big sales to draw in customers. I don't think I've ever shopped at a Famous Footwear without there being some kind of sale going on. I was here during a Buy 1, Get 1 at 50% off sale. This included all of their shoes, even clearance. They have a lot of name brands (Steve Madden, Keds, Sperry, and Carlos Santana to name a few), but nothing that I'd call overpriced. The sandals were picked over, and the store overall feels a little disorganized including narrow aisles in the clearance section. If you don't mind a warehouse kind of feel, there are some great deals at Famous Footwear. In addition to my Keds, I found a darling pair of Carlos Santana flats in a platinum shade with laser cut-outs on the clearance rack. They were marked down to $20. My Keds and Carlos shoes cost a combined $43, which was still $5 less than what I paid for the single pair of Keds at DSW. Customer service is great. I noticed one girl bending over backwards for a customer who wanted to special order a pair and have them shipped to her home. The girl who rang me up was also very friendly and she walked around the store greeting customers and asking them if they needed any assistance. It's not the level of service I'm used to at discount retailers, and for my tastes it was a little bit too much, but it was still nice to see.

It was nice to be given all the options available and just deciding what I wanted. He checked in with us from time to time as we were looking around. Overall, a very good experience.
