We found a hat and went up to the counter, but the employee was too busy watching a game to greet us or direct us. I asked where we should pay. He rung up our purchase in silence. Perhaps the manager can practice some sentence starters with his/her employees, "Good evening, did you find everything okay?" "Hi, did you find everything you were looking for?" Had that happened, perhaps we could have told him (the employee...dear God I hope he wasn't management) we couldn't find a jersey and he could have assisted us with an additional purchase. Nope...radio silence. I said, "Thank you"...typically stores should also thank the customer....another missed customer service opportunity. When online sales are putting brick and mortar stores out of business daily, what sets stores apart from an online experience is customer service. I will never give the store my business again and I'll have to buy the jersey we hoped to purchase online.

First trip to Fleet Feet located by Costco in Queen Creek was just by chance. Ben, my salesman was the most helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable sales person I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Long story short, Fleet Feet computer analyzed my feet for size and width and maybe arch. I had been buying the wrong size shoe forever. I tried a half dozen pairs before settling on the shoe Ben recommended. Three months of wear and they still fit perfect, who knew shoes could make my feet so happy. The store treats veterans right and offers an app with additional discounts. Return policy is above and beyond. I was so impressed I bought another pair and my wife bought two pair. Lastly, I am not a review writer but I think everyone in Queen Creek should give this family run business a shot at your shoe business. The checkout line was incredibly long, prompting a sales clerk to ask Sam for assistance. My family was next in line, but Sam flatly refused to check us out. Instead, she deliberately waited until the lone cashier finished with their current customer before stepping in to help the person behind us. As an African American woman, I cannot definitively say what her motives were, but her behavior gave off a distinct, uncomfortable vibe of racial bias. This was compounded by the fact that she followed us around the store and glared at us with a constant scowl. When we reached the register, I asked the cashier for the shift manager's name so I could report this behavior. The clerk pointed to Sam. Wanting to avoid confrontation with someone carrying such negative energy, I decided to let it go. However, overhearing my question, Sam stopped helping her own customers, walked over to our register, and rudely demanded to know "what's the matter" and "what's going on over here." Neither the cashier nor I had requested her presence. Sam made my family feel deeply uncomfortable and completely ruined our shopping experience. Her blatant lack of respect and poor customer service do a massive disservice to the Old Navy brand. Needless to say, we will never shop at this location again.
