I value customer service tremendously, and it's always a pleasure when someone doesn't try to sell you product, but they are really trying to get an understanding of you and what you need. The store itself was quite nice. It was my first time in this mall and their customer service was just lacking at this location. I couldn't find the workers at first. One was in the back and the other was up front, but they weren't wearing a worker's shirt and had an AirPod in. They were talking to a friend on the phone. When I went to checkout, this same employee helped me and still had their AirPod in. As they rang me up, they started laughing and said something over the phone. It was like I wasn't even there. Just left this store. We came after we couldn't find what we needed directly upstairs at Footlocker. Myself, my husband and my son still needed shoes. First, the sales rep kept bringing the wrong size. 3 separate times... for the same person. The next challenge, and this is where they lost my business, is that they told me I could only try on one of the shoes (like a left or a right - I had to choose.) This messaging was handed down as a "manager said" type of situation. He said there was too much foot traffic to give me both shoes - even though the partner shoe was in a box less than three feet from where we were sitting. At that time there was only two other parties inside the store, and we had the intention of buying two pairs for each of us. We will not be returning to a store that doesn't want our business. Also... the store was dirty. Really dirty. And I live with three kids, so I have a lot of grace for dirty. But this was next level gross. TIP: Go somewhere else!!! read more

Chandler was super high energy and found me the right size DMX sweatpants (they're dope af) and kept trying to sell me other merch, definitely a good salesman and good experience, told him he should look at other sales opportunities cause he's got that salesman energy! I don't often shop for shoes for my son since he is old enough to get them himself but I went in to find him some for a gift. I wasn't sure what was the "in style" and one of the staff members, Amariya, helped me decide what was the best shoes to get for him (her and my son are about same age so that helped)! This is not a safe place to shop during the pandemic. Two employees, a man and a woman, had their masks rolled down the entire time they were assisting me. They also kept pressuring to upsell me on some shoe cleaner and because we're in a damn pandemic I was trying to get out of there as quick as possible and agreed to it. Your employees need to wear masks. If they aren't wearing masks maybe it's because they aren't paid a living wage and are unmotivated, but that's an issue on the side of Shoe Palace management. I will never shop here again until this issue is addressed, and the behavior of your employees is going to get them sick. read more

This store is in Chandler Mall by Dillard's, bottom level. They do not have any wide sizes at all, per the sales girl, per her manager. They also do not size feet, she said - you just have to try on whatever size your kids *might* wear (and hope for the best?? my paraphrase. Sounds ridiculous to me to not size a growing child's foot for an approximate starting point.) I don't plan to return. This doesn't seem like a good business plan, and certainly not worth the time of anyone who either has wide feet or a high instep who needs wide shoes. read more

I really wanted to buy some shoes here because of the awesome selection that was on sale. However, the terrible customer service turned me away. I actually visited twice in the same night/same mall trip because I liked a pair here that I didn't see at any of the other stores at the mall. First visit - I was greeted with a simple "Welcome to Shoe Palace!" from across the store but no one walked up to me to ask if I needed anything. I quickly found a few pairs I wanted to try on but it was obvious the group of young sales reps were too busy giggling and talking at the register. After standing and waiting in plain sight for a few minutes with no acknowledgement from anyone, I left to look at other stores. Second visit - I reluctantly returned, determined to just buy the shoes here and get it over with. I didn't get so much as a greeting this time. Two sales reps were both at the register helping one couple, which seemed completely unnecessary since there was no line behind them. I again stood in plain sight, holding up some neon colored shoes which would be hard to miss. I waited there for what seemed like 10 minutes, then a third rep grabbing shoes in the back for a different couple finally noticed me when he came out and shouted to one of the reps at the register that I needed help. Clearly lacking any sense of urgency, she only came over after a few more minutes to ask if I needed a size. I requested my size in two different pairs of shoes. She came out with one of them and informed me that they were out of my size in the other pair and didn't bother to bring out a size up or down as an alternative. I asked if there's a size up available and she said she'll have to check the computer. I tried on the first pair of shoes while she did this; she came back shortly to ask how those shoes fit, and I told her I didn't like them. She made no mention of whether or not she found a size up for the second pair. I didn't bother to ask, because at this point I was fed up and left. I will be avoiding this store from now on. I don't have the time or patience to give my money to a store where the employees can't even feign decent customer service, especially when there's several other alternatives in the vicinity. read more

We came into this store as soon as the mall opened today at 10AM. I wanted to pick up a pair of neon green Nike Air Max 95's in a size 8. I asked the guy at the counter if they had it. He checked for it in the back. When he returned, he said they have it, but he said his manager told him they were going to "raffle it off". Mind you, I was THE ONLY customer there, and these shoes were only released TODAY.. and I was there as soon as the mall opened. No bueno, Shoe Palace! I came in the store looking for shoes as my son starts basketball soon. The young girl who was there helped us but failed to tell me there card reader was down till I was ready to buy and there were no signs of this. But she did tell me there was an ATM by Dillard's. However that ended up being down also. I asked if she could hold the shoes overnight she said no. On my way out I saw another atm paid a $3 fee and went back to the store bc my son really wanted the shoes. They had croc charms for $3 or 3 for $5. I asked if the store would allow me to get a $3 charm as the 3/$5 bundle. She said no absolutely not. I was already out $3 not to mention went back and forth from the store because of the inconvenience of their card reader being down. I don't think it was the girls fault, she's not being taught good business practice or customer service. Shoe palace would have been down about $1 for allowing me to do that and I was down $3 and time and of course the $90 shoes I bought. Now I won't shop there again and have already told 5 people about this experience. Not to mention my son starts basketball so more parents who will be buying shoes there to tell.
