This is my favorite place to get kabob in town. My friend and I were waiting for this place to open when we first saw the signs and after they did, we were there all the time. Wow, we loved this place. Delicious food - the spices and flavors are masterfully mixed in every dish. I was very impressed with the meal I ordered for take out here. I ordered the Mantu appetizer which wasn't quite what I expected but delicious, nevertheless. For the entree, I chose the deluxe kabob (chicken, lamb and shami) and a veggie kabob. This came with rice, naan and a small salad. The food was really, REALLY good and enough for me to reheat the leftovers for lunch the next day. I will be back for more! read more

My daughter & I stopped here for an early lunch about 11:15AM. It looked like we were the first customers of the day. The service was great & we received our food quickly, my daughter got the chicken kabob sandwich & it turned out to be an awesome wrap! I got a salad with chicken kabobs that were so tender, flavorful & bite size. Well I only had to cut them in half & they were so good. The bread was warm & just the right chewiness. I ordered about $70 worth of food from this place and asked for extra sauce. I told the lady at the cash register that she could charge me for the sauce. She, however, did not charge me extra for the sauce. When I picked up my order after 20mins. When I brought the food home, the sauce containers were HALF empty and rice were half of what I would get if I was to dine in. Either you charge me for what I'm asking or just simply say NO. She acted as she is giving it to me as curtsy when in fact I did not get it. I was not even asked what I wanted to pick as side and instead she picked what she felt. I've definitely tried better places in Centreville but I can say with certainty that this is the best kabob place in Manassas (hands down).

Not so famous. Tall light skinned clerk has a horrible attitude. Food was not that great. Would not recommend.

Being Afghan, it's hard to find a restaurant that replicates the authentic taste of Afghan cuisine. Famous Kabob does it with no problem. Better than the millions of subpar Kabob restaurants in the area. Appetizing food and great hospitality. Highly highly recommend to all. read more

Love this place. We eat here all the time. The best kabobs I have found since moving to the area! For two combos ( lamb and chicken) rice chick peas and one side of spinach - $25.00. There is so much food, easily 4 meals. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! Went there w couple of times, they messed up my order and forgot to put everything that came w/ the order. When I called they said to come back the next day and will give me what they forgot to put in my order. When I went in the guy called me a liar, said they didn't make a mistake and took someone else's order while I was waiting there for over an hour. When he saw I got really frustrated and wanted to leave that's when he gave me a free order. Worst customer service ever! They need employees who can speak & understand English well!! read more

I was walking trying to decide what to eat for dinner and just stumbled into Famous Kabob. Wow absolutely loved everything about this place. The amount, price, quality of food. Our first meal at Famous Kabob went very well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dining area was clean. The food was top notch and not expensive compared to some of the other kabob places in the area. The lamb in the Palau was very tender under a nice portion of rice and served with a side order. The Mantu was a delicious Afghan take on pastry shells that we had not tasted before. We also got a side of fried spinach , which was a little oily but still good. We had the Firnee for desert, which is a light pudding. All this for about 25 dollars. read more

I stopped in this place to get a Gyro because I figured it would be authentic Gyro meat but it was the frozen strip stuff that you can get at any Pizza place. It was tasteless and chewy like rubber. It's funny because I picked up a menu but for some reason I put it back. Now I know why because I won't be going back as I was highly disappointed. read more

Not bad but not great either. Staff made no attempt to be helpful or pleasant. The menu doesn't explain each option very well, so it doesn't make you want to adventure outside of what you already know is good. Its uncomfortably quiet in the shop, especially while you have to wait a while for your food. The food is pretty expensive but it doesn't deliver on flavor or quality. I was pretty disappointed by this kabob joint. Mobey Dick's is much better. read more

I can't believe it. I don't know how this restaurant got 4 star rating. I went on Friday night over here they out 6 items noted in thier menu. The fast taste is horrible. It so fanny how they tricked customer they put Kabob under rice and presented as Qabuli Palau. I don't know they are making fan of Afghan food or lies about being Afgahn style restaurant. read more

Chicken kabobs and falafal wrap are great and awesome prices. You don't get anything with it though, sides don't seem to be a "thing". Portions are very filling though so I can understand why. Plus you get bread. The gyro is very tasty as well. Been here a couple times, usually takes a while to make but again, not a bad thing. I'd recommend calling ahead if you're picking up but if you are sit down then it's not too terribly long. The place looks a little scary but food is great. More of a take out place. read more

Food portion is very less in takeout. They don't give any side unless you ask for them, it's like almost haggling for food. Price is much higher comparing amount of food served. I only go when no other option available for halal food. read more

the gyro was the most disgusting example of a gyro ever created. Usually middle eastern restaurants make a delicious gyro, that was NOT the case here. Aside from them making it the opposite of what I ordered, the meat was not real gyro meat, it was nasty....Stay away if you want a gyro, go to a Greek place..... read more

Great food. Spicy enough, but not too spicy and the people serving would accommodate less /more spicy requests. Carahi is great! Also the eggplant appetizers. Lamb kabob is as good as it gets. Not pricey! read more

I ordered hummus one night just prior to closing and it was, hands down, the WORST hummus I have ever had. It was loaded with grease and very watery. I love middle eastern food but this was seriously awful. I had to throw it out. The bread that came with it was only slightly better but incredibly tough like it had been microwaved to warm it up.
