We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

I heavily struggled to finish the sweet potato and the parsnips as well due to the same issue. I did not finish. Service was excellent, we could tell Shayla tried really hard. Our table wobbled and she immediately tried to fix it. It was a busy night, and they had lovely piano music playing along with a busy bar. The kitchen was slow and took way to but they did have to bake the dessert. They did add some extra ice cream as it took about an hour. I do think they forgot about me at first and the bar tender had to run back at least two occasions to check the kitchen. The service from the bartender and the dessert were perfect. That season dessert was so good and highly recommended it.

My adventure buddy and I were headed to York and looking for somewhere new, different, and delicious to grab lunch. After a little online reconnaissance, Copper Crust Co. landed firmly at the top of the list. The menu looked fantastic...sweet treats, sandwiches, quiche, baked goods, and enough tempting options that narrowing down an order felt like a personal challenge! We arrived around 11:45am and were lucky enough to find a parking spot right out front. We walked inside and immediately discovered that apparently everyone else had also figured out Copper Crust Co. was the place to be. The place was PACKED! Every table was occupied and a long line stretched toward the ordering counter. Fortunately, the line moved quickly. Unfortunately, that meant we had plenty of time to stare at the bakery case while waiting. I suspect this is at least partially intentional. The display of pastries, cakes and sweet treats sits right alongside the ordering line, teasing you every step of the way. By the time I reached the register, I was contemplating lunch, dessert, second dessert, and possibly a bakery box for later. My adventure buddy ordered a classic BLT ($10.69) and a Diet Coke ($1). I decided to branch out with the Spinach, Sundried Tomato & Feta Quiche ($8.99) and a Diet Coke. Total for lunch for two came to $27.58 before tip, which felt completely reasonable. After ordering, we were given a table number and told to grab any available table we could find. This led to the only hiccup of the visit. A sign near the ordering area instructed guests to leave dishes on the tables for staff to clear, but on this particular Saturday the staff simply couldn't keep up with the volume. We eventually found an abandoned table covered with dirty dishes, crumbs, scrambled eggs, bacon remnants, and the previous guests' table marker. Copper Crust was clearly slammed. Honestly, my only suggestion would be to add a guest-accessible bussing station for busy weekends. A spot where customers could scrape plates and stack dishes would probably help tables turn over much faster when the dining room is bursting at the seams. Not wanting to hover awkwardly while waiting for staff, I cleaned the table myself and stacked everything neatly out of the way. Problem solved. A few minutes later, our food arrived and immediately erased any lingering concerns. The mixed greens salad that accompanied our meals was surprisingly excellent. Normally, a pile of just greens (plus two small pieces of pineapple) doesn't do much for me, but whatever light, slightly sweet dressing they use is fantastic! My adventure buddy and I both devoured every last leaf. The BLT featured thick-cut bacon and hearty slices of multigrain bread, both of which earned enthusiastic approval from my adventure buddy. My quiche was outstanding. The spinach, sundried tomatoes, and feta were plentiful, but the real star was the crust. Too many quiches treat the crust as an afterthought. Not this one. Flaky, buttery, substantial, and absolutely worth eating every bite. It was one of the best quiches I've had in quite a while, and I seriously considered getting back in line for another slice. Copper Crust Co. ended up being one of those unexpected gems that makes adventure days so much fun. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and enough bakery goodness to justify a return trip all by itself. Next time I'm in York around breakfast, brunch, or lunch, there's a very good chance you'll find me back in that line staring at the bakery case and making questionable decisions involving dessert before noon.

My order was bagged and tied together, so I cloud not check my order without ripping the entire plastic bag. There were two standard to-go containers inside the bag, NOT the standard long full-length container a full rack is served in when placing a to-go order. I order the full rack of ribs to-go all the time at Cheddars, and they are served in the long full-rack box. When I got home and to my surprise I was given two separate rib halves. Neither were the same size, (both were upper ends), not an entire complete rack of ribs. Looking at the ribs, each upper end was different in size, and each had a different appearance and texture. I tasted each half-rack, and yes hey came from different racks as each had a different taste, dried-out texture, and not even luke-warm to the touch. These ribs were not freshly made that day. I'm positive these rib halves were old ribs, at least a day or more old, and somewhat reheated, barely. I live 2-miles from Cheddar's, I's a straight shot, 5-minute drive at best. The food should not be cold driving that distance. I used to go to Cheddar's all the time, but quit going there about six-plus months ago because the food quality was going downhill, but decided to give it another try, I WAS WRONG... The BC Wrappers were editable, barely warm, but just thrown together, not neatly wrapped and fell apart trying to get one out of the box. In-total I wasted $37.00 on this meal at Cheddar's in York, PA. The ribs were thrown away, and the BC Wrapper was half-eaten. Seriously, the kitchen staff working Monday, May 5, 2026, has NO pride in the quality of food being served out of that kitchen. They should fire them all!
