I had a chandelier on layaway, I went into the Fanco to inform them that I no longer wanted the chandelier they said OK do you have your receipt? I told the lady I am sure I have the receipt. I just didn't have it with me. she said if you can find the receipt, bring it in and we will give you a refund. Our system is new and I don't see you in the system Even though the layaway have been there since 2023 they told me there was no timeframe on it. I went back into the store the next week with the receipt showing I have put $100 down on the layaway the guy that was in the store told me that he would have to talk to the manager before giving me a refund so I said OK I guess I'll have to come back. So today on July 7, 2025 he calls me and said we will issue you a credit but you have to purchase something $200 or more and it has to be done within 30 days or you lose your credit. I told him you must be out of your mind. I am not going to buy something for $200 or more to get $100 that belongs to me and he said that's the only way that he could give me my money back Now mind you I talk to a manager the week before this and she told me just bring the receipt in and I'll give you your money back but this didn't happen and I'm very disappointed in Franco. Not at all happy with this company. Purchased a replacement fan for a condo that rent. Scheduled installation on my day off from work and was no showed. Scheduled another appointment with my renter to be available to let them in. The fan they brought didn't work. I went back to this location, upgraded the fan and rescheduled again. This time they installed the fan but not the light globe due to a missing part.(why they didn't go back to the store and get the part is beyond me). Back to Fanco I go. I am handed the part and told how easy it is to install it...(I thought I paid them to do a complete job)...I was told the installers would call to schedule a time to come back.....never got a call...... Most interestingly is that during all of this their attitude was they didn't really care, not their problem...no urgency, no apologies...take or leave it attitude. This business continually states that the installation company they use, Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc. and Fanco are two separate companies. A lot of reviews on here speak on installation problems. And while Fanco maintains that they're two separate companies, it's always the Fanco owner's representative here on Yelp that keeps responding to them with policies and contract agreements all while reiterating that fact that... "I cannot speak to your review of the Lighting and Fan Installers since they are a separate company..." If the owner's representative at Fanco can't speak to the issues in our reviews of the Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc. since they are a separate company, then who can? 1. The Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc. is the only installation company that Fanco recommends. Fanco's sales people quote you installation prices and say if you use their recommended installation company, Fanco will honor the manufacture's warranty on Regency fans. Usually, you have to contact the manufacturer to resolve warranty issues. If you've ever had to deal directly with a manufacturer on a warranty issue, it is usually an unpleasant experience and one that isn't resolved quickly. This alone sold me on choosing the Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc with my installation. The fact that I could deal with a local store location on manufacturer warranty issues was a big deal for me. Much later I would ask myself why would a store take on that kind of responsibility to promote an installation company that is completely separate from them? 2. The address for the Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc. (LIC#0078593) as listed with the Nevada State Contractors Board is: 7135 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Coincidentally, it's the exact same address listed with the Better Business Bureau for Fanco's Southeast location. 3. I had a great experience at the Fanco on Peace & fort Apache! I first went there over a year ago to replace a broken ceiling fan in my house. They were very knowledgeable on what type of fan would be best for the size of my room. (Fast forward to present day) I felt like Goldilocks searching high and low to replace the boring chandelier that came with my new home... Ferguson's was too expensive, Lowes and Home Depot were too generic, Lamps Plus didn't have anything unique. But low and behold I found just what I was looking for when I came back to Fanco! Not only will you receive horrible customer service and fans that require you to bring them back in for any type of analysis when they inevitably have some type of issue, the general manager will then tell you he will not give you a refund for the inoperable fan the company sold to you as operable. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Poor customer service. I bought two fans from them and spent around 1400$ plus installation. I was assured that Gladiator 3 is super powerful model with 6 speeds and we'll be able to raise our ac up to 5 degrees. Pure lie, not only we were not able to raise it we have to lower it now because it feels hot in the room. Speed 6 on these fans is like medium one on a regular fan, very slow spin. Then shortly after installation one of the motors started producing humming-whistling sound. I went back to the store and asked for replacement or exchange to different model. And I was told that not going to happen because the fans are already installed. The salesman suggested that I should take down the motor that makes noise and bring it for testing at MY EXPENSE( I have to pay for taking it down and then putting it back up) that's a ripoff!!! You sold me damaged product and I have to spend additional money on top of 1400$ I have already paid. This is the most random store, but they have a decent selection on display. I came here in search of some light fixtures and found a few that I was fond of in comparison to the ones at Lowe's and Home Depot. They have higher end brand pieces on display that you'll never find in the other home stores. I forget the name of the woman who helped me, but she was so amazing and had a lot of information on how to select what size for certain spaces. She gave a lot of ideas as well, and wasn't trying to up sell or unnecessarily sell stuff that I didn't need. Overall, I was grateful for their customer service and attention. I did hours of research online prior, including some top brands, and ended up selecting a nice piece that was perfect for the image and look I was trying to accomplish. They had several other pieces on display as well as catalogues for order. I'd definitely return and give them my business for future purchases on light fixtures. read more

On May 26, I wrote the review below. After a couple of unfun phone calls, store finally decided to bring me light bulbs. So I removed the review. On the same day, it also turned out that the chandelier had come with four damaged clips to hang the crystals on this 8-1/2' light fixture (19' ceiling). They promised to make it right, get the required clips, and send the installers back out. Over a week later, nothing. So I called the store and requested update. They seemed surprised to learn they were supposed to order the replacement clips. But they did. Despite their mistake at not ordering replacement clips, they only asked manufacturer for standard shipping, that is 7-10 days in transit. Almost 10 days later, the clips arrived and installers came back out. Note: Package with clips postcard size, weighed maybe 3 ounces. Installers opened packet, and store had ordered wrong clips! I called store and spoke with store manager. Installers gave him clip information one more time. I asked when I could expect new appointment, and that I was not happy, as I had taken off time from work for this day's fiasco. Also, what sort of refund I could expect as compensation for this inconvenience. Store manager: "Well, you are not the only person who is inconvenienced! We are having to bear the cost of the installer's services [I had purchased through store with warranty], and shipping the replacement clips." Long and short, the expensive chandelier I purchased on May 20 for installation on May 26 is still unfinished on June 26. I have heard nothing from the store. My wife and I were searching for a couple of nice fans to have installed in our living room and bedroom when we saw Fancos fans and decided to try them, my wife picked out 2 fans that she loved, the salesman went over everything with us except the part about the install even though it says $129 basic installation for 1 fan and free for the other fan then you have your charges for 89.95 for 13' ceilings to 19' ours is 13' and 12.95 for programming the remote, mind you we ended up spending just a little over $1700 for 2 fans, then we had an electrician Skye from Friends Electric do the electrical, awesome job. The complaint I have with Fanco is they didn't explain how the items are charged for the actual fan install instead of paying for 1 fan install you get 1 basic install for free and pay for all the extras which came to just over $335, I wouldn't have complained about this if it was explained properly, it's just getting caught off guard about the extra charges and after going back to the store to return the downrods all they could say was we're sorry which didn't seem to genuine to me, sorry for them we still have more fans we need to pick, so if you go here make sure you get ALL the information, by the way the fans are really attractive and work very well. read more

Contacted Fanco as I had seen a table lamp to purchase on their website. I live about 1.5 hrs away and wanted to find out how I can purchase this light & have it delivered. I had been to their location on Ft Apache, but they had a very limited supply of lamps on hand. When I called I was advised that I could not order the items over the phone nor give them my credit card to order the item as they do not take cards over the phone. I would have to drive the 1.5 hrs each way to order & pay and then drive back 1.5 hrs each way just to pick my items. I advised them that their process was not customer oriented, but business oriented. I am surprised that they have stayed in business. Extremely poor customer service. We bought 4 fans a month ago. We are assisted by James and he's really helpful. But then problem starts after installation, 1 of the fans wobbles and makes clicking noises. We called them multiple times and they won't do anything. It's even in the receipt that there's a 30 day warranty for installers. They asked for a video of the fan wobbling and making noises and told us that they will let the manager know. They never get back to us, we will call again after few days and all they tell us is that they will take a look at it and see what they can do. It's been like that for the whole month and today they finally told us that they can't do anything but give us discount for another fan! We don't need to buy another fan, we need them to fix or change the defective fan that they sold to us! It is very disappointing, we will never buy in this place again. Oh by the way, they never sent the installers to check the fan, they told my husband that they don't come out for minor things like that. I'm guessing, they will only consider it if the ceiling fan falls off? Maybe, not even? They use LIGHTING and FAN INSTALLERS who refused to wear booties. I get that it's for safety reason, it can be slippery when using the ladder. I have carpets and I can't allow all the dirt and germs and who knows what disease the shoes can carry? Kids like to crawl and put their hands in their mouth. Instead of using booties while walking around the house and just take it off before using the ladder, and oh my! They didn't even need ladder in the bedrooms! All they do is step on our beds! Guys, I had to put carpet protector films like red carpet for them to walk on! Glad I have some left used with the movers. One of the installers told me that if I want to, they can come back some other day and give me time to cover everything with plastic. Then what? Charge me with $99.95 return trip charge? Just because they can't take off shoes or wear booties only while stepping in the carpet and show some politeness in the home owner? ‍ Very very disappointed from both Fanco and installers. I uploaded the document with the 30 day warranty mentioned and the return trip charge that I wasn't aware on that day, glad I didn't agree for them to leave and just come back. Response: We are not informed that there's a chance we are getting a ceiling fan with factory defect if we choose to buy economy fans. We are aware of the difference of WHISPER BREEZE and NORMAL WHIR SOUND of a fan. A CLICKING NOISES and WOBBLING is never normal, it is an indication that the blade is not balanced or something is not right in the fan. Anybody would know that, not a rocket science. Nobody will feel safe using a wobbling fan. There is no stamp anywhere in the receipt indicating that those kind of fans may wobble and make noises. We were going to buy a couple fans but obviously not as many as they wanted us too. The sales staff was fairly helpful for informational purposes. They had to order the fans which is fine from the warehouse but they arrived late and to the wrong location (literally the opposite side of town) and we were told that it would be essentially another week before that store would have the fan shipped to the correct store. When we asked if there is anything they would do for the inconvenience we were told absolutely not and that we could just wait the week or pick it up at the other store (which we did) ourselves. We said that if this is the way all customers are treated we would take our business elsewhere, and the sales staff suggested that we do exactly that! We were told by Daniel a week ago when we were looking that since we are returning customers, he would give us a discount. This is a difficult review because while Fanco came through for me, it was because of the manufacturer who made it right. I had purchased a fan from Fanco about 2 months ago. The fan was not right for room. It was replaced the first time. But it still was wrong and Fanco would not replace it. I went to the manufacturer for credit. These guys have been amazing! 10 years ago we bought our home and got our fans from them. From purchase to install they were brilliant. Recently I wanted to change our one of the light fixtures. From pictures I brought of the fans and their records we were able to sort out what I needed. A few more trips and tips from the guys and now my lights are back to being beautiful. Not happy with my experience with Fan Co. I went here instead of Lowes or Home Depot so I could get experienced help with what I needed. I stated the type of room I had like room size, celling height and what my needs and concerns were. Also that this was to be the only light source in the room. After going through all of those details they recommended a fan for us. I had two small bedrooms exactly the same so I bought two. I got them home and installed them. My biggest concern I discussed with them was the light source on the fan. It needed to be the only light source so it needed to light up the whole room. Well at night we we turned on the light on the fan. It was like a spot light in the middle of the room and didn't light it up the rest of the room at all. You could film an alien abduction movie with this thing. Everything is dark all around and a bright cone of light right in the middle. The light is extremely bright but only shines straight down. And because the ceilings are low the light is always in your eyes and blinding. This isn't what we discussed with the sales guy. So I called them and they said since they were already installed they couldn't do anything. Then told me to hold. When they came back they said they were going to check on something and would call me right back. They NEVER did. So I had to go the to store on my lunch break the next day to talk to them. They wouldn't help at all. They said once it's installed there's nothing that can be done. Well if they recommend and sell you a fan that doesn't do what was requested, they should work with you. It's at least partially their fault when you give them as much details as I did. And how do you know they were wrong until you install the dam thing. So now I'm out $400 and have to buy new fans. Well they lost my business and I need to buy 2 more fans. Well I will not be getting it from them. Can't recommend them at all. read more

When I bought my house a year and a half ago, I did some renovations. I bought all new appliances and electronics for the house, and one of the additional renovations I did was purchase all new ceiling fans at FANCO - which cost over $1,000 WITHOUT installation. Over the course of my (short) ownership of the home, I've experienced problems with NOTHING in the house...except the fans. One of them is useless and makes extremely loud clanky noises whenever I try to operate it. Just yesterday, the remote control on one of the more expensive units completely died. When the first fan went bad, I called the store and spoke with Rick, the manager. This guy YELLED at me on the phone and completely reamed me. He didn't care that the fan didn't work, and he told me it was MY fault because I didn't use their overpriced installers. I vowed never to return to that location again (the folks in the Northwest are MUCH nicer). Against my better judgment, I went back to this location today to get a new remote (only because I was in the area). I didn't have a problem paying for it, as I assumed it was out of warranty. The store employee told me he was giving me a "deal" by charging me $39.95 for the entire unit, which included the receiver. I explained that I didn't need a receiver and that I had a receipt that said a remote was $12.95. While I was on the phone trying to get a picture of my receipt texted to me (because these guys don't even have customer records in the store!), the manager, Rick, got involved. Just my luck that the nasty guy was working today!! He proceeded to yell at me in front of customers and employees yet AGAIN. Granted, I wasn't happy. But I wasn't making a scene like he did. Rick needs to learn that you don't deal with an upset customer by aggravating her further and demeaning her. If they had told me that they were trying to help me, trying to get a remote for me, that would have changed the outcome. As I mentioned, I was happy to pay. But I didn't want to pay for something I didn't need. Note the store employee told me that I was going to need a receiver at some point. Ha! Apparently, the employees are aware that this company sells inferior products. In my California home, I had Hunter fans with remotes that lasted for over a decade with no issues whatsoever. I'd suggest that you take your business to a company that sells higher quality. But, more importantly, go to a store that takes customer service seriously. I'm a high end buyer, and I'm not used to being treated like Rick treats customers. It's absolutely ridiculous. No one deserves to deal with that guy. Update on 4/22/15: The manager, Rick, posted a reply to this exact same review on the BBB website. I rarely post reviews anywhere other than Yelp, but in this exceptional case I went there as well because I was so upset over what had happened. If you want to see this guy's character, go read his reply. My account above is 100% accurate. He responded like an angry child rather than a manager. His reply tells you everything you need to know about how he deals with customers. He claims to have been a manager with Fanco for 11 years. Who knew fans could have their own business or could be so damn expensive?! We originally came here because we just bought a house and got a 50 buck gift certificate in the mail. Walking in, I then recognized one of the employees who is the parent of one of my students. Meghan gave us the run down on all their fans. From buy one get one free.. To lowest price in town guaranteed to.. The different pick your own color swatches. It was awesome. Awesome but expensive. I never imagined it could be so expensive. All the ones we loved were over 450 each and we just can't afford that. So we stuck with the lower end affordable ones. I've heard of them but never really been inside. For most places if I walked inside and get no hello or assistance for a few mins and I'm the only customers I'd write the business off and give them a bad review. I guess I really was curious in what they had to offer because I stayed long and got good service after. they actually have better good deals on fans. Buy 1 get 1 free on fans or installation. installation cost in the $70's so for about $35-40 each is pretty cheap compared to lowest with told me $90's each. I probably will install them myself. they have a big selection of fans and lighting displayed. one thing to note when entering and walking around watch out. almost got knocked on my head a few times and I'm only about 5'7 or 8. and don't get memorized by the spinning fans and bright lights ran into some floor displays. read more

We have purchased two fans from this store and they were great. Expensive but great. So we purchased another fan and had to leave town before we could get it installed. So 4-5 months down the road we are having it installed and the handyman alerted us that it is a used fan and had scratches on it as well as bent wiring, etc. The gross part is that there were used napkins/tissues in the box. I called Fanco to let them know they sold a used item and they said that since it had been over 45 days I was out of luck. We paid full price for a new fan and ended up with a used one. I have a few more fans to purchase and I will not be going back to Fanco. There are other retailers that offer much better service. read more
