This was a smaller Fanco, so their stock is limited when it came to lights. My mom wanted a nice glittery chandelier for her bathroom and chandelier with a fan for room. They didn't have much of what she was looking for but she did see a chandelier she liked. They only had the display in stock and the guy helping us out called all the Fanco's around to see if they had it, but no one else had them in stock. 4 stars for the person helping us, taking his time to see if it was available for pick up somewhere. I took off one star because he wasn't really keeping us updated and we had to stand in the store not knowing what was going on. Because the display was the only one they had, since it was used and missing a few crystal pieces, he called his manager to see if we could get a discount. I thought that since it's used and missing pieces, we would get a good discount on this almost $300 lighting fixture. After talking with his boss, he said he could only give us $50 off. I'm sorry but $50 is not worth getting a used expensive item that is missing some pieces. Another star taken off because of this experience. read more

I was in need of a new ceiling fan for one of our bedrooms, and because we could get a second free it was the perfect time to upgrade our loft ceiling fan too. I got two fans, two light fixtures, and two LED switches out the door for under $700. The items I picked out were in stock and we took them home same day. They scheduled the installation for two days later. The installers are a separate company so you have to pay them at the time of install. It was $129 to install both ceiling fans. We spent better that $1,000 ant Fanco on 3 fans and installation. Daniel failed to express the import of being precise on the ceiling height, so we have a 1' drop where it should have been at least a 2'. Though I accept partial responsibility, I believe that it is the professional's job to coach the customer through the process...a fail!! Then, to correct the problem they wanted to add more charges...I'll live with the situation for now, then go elsewhere for the correction as well as two additional fans to be added soon. As will be described in a separate review for The Lighting and Fan Installers, Inc., Fanco's installation partners, they had a chance to save the day but also failed!! They were working on the second fan (the one that needed a longer drop-down) and acknowledged that need. If they were thinking excellent customer service, they might have suggested they would install #3 while I took the short trip to pick up the correct drop-down. He was very polite and helpful. He said he'd need to call the maker of my light fixture to see if they have the part and the cost & he'd get back to me shortly. He called me back quicker than I expected and I was very pleased with the price. I called another company and it took them twice as long to call me back with the info and the cost was $10 more. I wanted to give a big thank you to JC and the staff at Fanco up here in the North. My wife and I learned more about ceiling fans from spending 10 minutes with JC than we had in 10 years! He was very knowledgeable, not pushy in the least and worked with us to find a great fan (bought two on their Buy One Get One deal), that replaced two old ones that were not as energy efficient and were starting to show big time signs of wear and tear. Fanco does not directly install the fans, they use another company called, Lighting & Fan Installers Inc and we were very satisfied with the installation, which was affordable and professional. This is a smaller Fanco, but should have what you need. Their website has an absolutely astounding number of fans and they can help you order one on their site if you cannot find it at the store. You may be able to find fans for less from big box stores, but you will not find the service that you have from staff at Fanco. I always love to support local businesses and it is worth a few extra dollars to see that money stay in the valley. Service will always make a sale and JC helped improve our home with two new beautiful, high quality ceiling fans that look great and perform great! read more

I purchased a fan with the chandelier light fixture last week and had it installed on Friday. The lighting fixture part was defective, so I had to send my son to FANCO to get a new fixture so I wouldn't have to reschedule the rest of the install. When my son returned with the new one the installer (Mario) completed it. I looked at it, but not up close. It wasn't until I was laying in bed that evening that I noticed there was a gap between the crystal strands. Turns out, one of the strands was short a crystal, so he stretched it to the hook, and that created a gap. He knew that wasn't right and that it was defective and instead of bringing it to my attention he decided to just attach it in hopes that I wouldn't see it. I went to the store and brought the defective stand of crystals, and they promptly exchanged it. The problem I have is that items should be INSPECTED prior to installations so we, as customers, don't have to be inconvenienced. I paid almost $1000 for this fan/light (not including installation), I EXPECT better. read more

Overall, I'm not a FAN. The staff was good and very helpful, but the selection was limited and very overpriced. We were lured into the store by their buy one get one free deal. Don't be fooled. The store itself was very helpful in the selection of fans but the installers utilized was poor. They left all the trash from the previous fans in the middle of the floors creating tripping hazards for my children and when I had to leave prior to the job being completed the last fan was installed oddly requiring the remote to turn on the light and fan only after the wall switch is turned on, where as before the light and fan could be turned on separately without a remote. read more

This is the worst customer service company for any specialized product in Las Vegas. They treat people like second-class citizens if you're not a customer. I had called in advance regarding their products and services to drive to their location clear across town only to find out that they do not want to provide any services unless you buy one of their expensive specific fans. They failed to disclose any important facts over the phone until you waste your time getting to the store only to be disappointed and having to deal with rude sales people in their stores. Their products are way overpriced. You are better off going to a Lowes Home Depot or even Walmart for a fan. I was in need of a couple of Fans and when we picked them out they had us wait around and then let us know that they did not have the key to open the room where they keep all the fans and that we should go get lunch and just come back......because the manager was going somewhere to pick it up.... I looked at Fanco's website and it looked like they might have the adaptor parts I needed for my 6 ceiling lights I purchased at Loews. I called one store and they were helpful and said come on in and we'll try to help you. Unfortunately I went to a different Fanco. The store on Warm Springs and Eastern. I asked about the parts and all five guys standing at the counter said they don't carry parts. So I asked about buying on their website. One guy said "Let me rephrase that. We don't carry parts at all. You might try Amazon. So I left. I went to Lamps Plus. They had what I needed but asked questions. Long story short. I'm returning what I purchased at Loews and buying it from Lamps Plus with installation. And Lamps Plus was more expensive. I went to FanCo because I thought they were a local family business. But not one of the five guys standing around talking asked what was I working on. Why I would need these parts. Give me a reason to shop there. I guess that's too hard. Won't be back. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I bought a fan from FANCO FANS at 4550 n. Tenaya Way on 10/11/18 for $924.30 , not including installation. They didn't have a down (connection ) rod & had to wait for delivery of one which set back installation 5 days. I should have known there were gonna be future problems then. When the fan installation company ( which FANCO recommended) came on 10/ 16/18 to install the fan they were unable to install the fan because it was defective. Fan Installers ( through no fault of theirs) were unable to screw the fan blades into the motor housing because every other screw hole on the housing was incorrectly milled too small ( the screw holes were way too small for screws to be drilled into). I immediately called back FANCO & talked to Chad, the salesman there who sold me the fan. The installers told him of the defect & that they would be unable to install said fan. I got on phone & told Chad I was bringing said fan back that day & wanted my money back. He got very nasty & rude with me , telling me that now the fan was considered USED & defective ( OBVIOUSLY) & intimated to me that company that made it would not take it back ( which was totally false) & he would, absolutely not refund my money. The fan was still on the floor of my house & some of the parts were still in the box as the installers stopped work when realized couldn't even get the blades on fan so, why continue to even try to hook up the rest of fan. Chad said he would LOOK INTO getting a replacement. He had told me ( when I bought the fan 6 days previously) that this was the last one on floor & would take a month or more to back order any new ones. Obviously, I didn't want to wait a month or more to get another one of their fans ( that also could be defective). I told him no & that I wanted my money refunded. He absolutely refused to refund my money & began yelling at me over the phone that no way was he gonna refund my money. I immediately called my credit card company ( that charged fan to) & disputed charges. My credit card company assured me I would not have to pay for a defective product. This clerk was rude, tried to intimidate me & fed me incorrect info about the fan & return policy. I was refunded my money but, this clerk put me through a totally insufferable situation. How stupid am I??!!! Look at all the horrible reviews this place has accumulated!!! I could kick myself for not having read all the one star reviews they got before I bought there. read more

Fanco's installation company has the worst customer service I've ever seen , pre paid for installation, parts missing in and for light kits when this was discovered by there installers I had to go get the parts myself then call and schedule an appointment two weeks out . 45 days later the fan malfunctions and smells like it's burning , I called Fanco they want to charge me $135.00 to come check it out , (what customer service). You will get better service from the big box stores and there installers. I spent $1,100.00 dollars with this company , I will never give them any more business . read more

I am very disappointed with Fanco fans. I spent over $4,000 in this store and have not had very good luck. Two days after installation the fan stopped working and I was told I needed to take it down and bring to the store. I said so you now want me to pay to have fun taken down when I just paid to have it installed. Not going to happen. So one of the employees came to have fix it. A year later it stopped working again. I paid $125.00 for a service repair call to find out that a portion of the light motor was bad. I called the store and spoke to Andy who troubled shooter with the repair company and identified the issue. This was on June 3,2016 that Andy committed he would order the part. On June 24,3016 I called the store to inquire and the person found no notes about ordering the part. He took my name and number and said he would check with Andy and call me back. I will repost when I have an update. I have had No trouble with the fans I purchased at Lowe's, which cost much less. Stay away from this place! read more

I went in there 15 minutes before closing on a weeknight. The two young gentleman there were so helpful to me in solving my problem. It's rare you get such good service from young men these days especially right before closing. I didn't even end up purchasing anything as they helped me find a solution using parts from other retailers and online. Reading the negative reviews for this company has prompted me to write my own review. It's almost as if the reviews I read here are being written about a different company than I have had experience with. I have only dealt with the Northwest location, first in its Centennial Hills location and now in it's Craig Road location so this review addresses only that location. Each and every interaction has been a positive one. I purchased fans from them over 6 years ago and yes they were expensive, but certainly I could have made the decision to obtain a less expensive product at a Big Box Store if I chose to; my choice, not something Fanco forced on me. Recently I have had to reach out to them for assistance in obtaining some repair parts; inexpensive electronic modules. Every time I speak to anyone at the store they know exactly what I am talking about, assist me in locating obsolete parts, and talk me through any technical questions I may have. When I foolishly go in to the store or call on the phone lacking the information as to model numbers or age of the product they look me up in their system get all the required information. I'm a big fan of shopping on-line, but when you find a local company that that has provided the kind of service that Fanco has provided me then I feel you should support the local businessman. I do not feel I could have received this kind of service from an on-line retailer, especially 6 years after product purchase. They were very helpful in suggesting and coaching us on the six fans we have purchased over the last couple months as part of our renovation project. Three weeks ago I visited the Eastern store to get help with lighting for my kitchen. Jim was very helpful and took time to find some options that would work. The following Saturday, I went to the Tenaya store to place an order. The Eastern store was way too far from me and they could not place the order over the phone. The individual at the Tenaya store told me that one of the fixtures I picked out showed as unavailable. He could not tell if was back ordered or discontinued. He offered to call the manufacturer on Monday and call me. To this day, I have never heard from them. NO call back or follow up. I found the fixtures online and ordered them saving $105. The fixtures were delivered and have been installed. What started out as a good experience with Jim ended very poorly. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of Jim. read more

Unbelievable customer service! We had a problem with a ceiling fan we had purchased from them over 12 years ago, so we brought it in for them to look at. TJ and Jim were fantastic! They immediately diagnosed the problem, fixed it and provided us with never-ending tech support, walking us through the re-installation of the fan until it was up and running again. We couldn't have done it without them. TJ was awesome! His knowledge of the inner workings of ceiling fans was impressive. Purchased three fans and installed my self, I have done this a dozen times. One of the fans malfunctioned straight from the box. I contacted the salesman at the location that I purchased from and was told to drop the motor of for inspection. When I dropped the motor I was told 2days for the inspection. At this point I would say that any box store would have simply exchanged or refunded my money. I now understand that if you buy at Fanco and have any issue you deal with the manufacturer. They offer to test the motor for you and deal with the manufacturer. However if you just purchased it and it's malfunctioning straight from the box that's going to be your problem. Again any box store and you have your money back or an exchange not waiting while they want to test it. I waited 3days before I complained to management that I purchased a 600$ fan that did not work. Jim from Fanco contacted me and offered a me a replacement motor. I installed the motor and had no issues. Having to wait 3 days and contact management to correct this issue was BS. As for staff being to busy to check out the fan motor at the Tenya store location, BS never saw more than 1 customer in there. Also Jim told me that they don't check motors at that location even though I was told to drop it there by the sales man. I give 4 stars only because they finally gave me a motor that worked. read more

After spending nearly $2,000 on four fans at this store, the $700 ceiling fan we purchased from them which coincidentally had a whisper quiet lifetime guarantee had a tick sound from the day we installed it.. After going back and forth with them and being fed contradicting information from multiple employees and given the complete run around, we are now over 3 weeks out and still do not have a properly functioning fan. I was informed by Fanco this specific manufacturer has had issues with this specific model of fan and they have had multiple defect units. However, they continue to sell this fan at the high retail price and the kicker - I am now responsible for paying $125 fee to have the fan professionally taken down and the replacement fan reinstalled. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service skills and the fact that I am now out an additional $125 due to a defective fan when I already spent nearly $2,000 in their store. read more
