Good spot. This place might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, if you want to get the Haitian food fix, this is your place. It is buffet style by weight. It gets a little confusing for new customers, since there is nothing written and the guy working there has limited understanding of English and knowledge. I did enjoy the fried meatball with rice. Save your money: my order was missing two of the main components and I was charged $13 for half a box of rice and beans. When I called to complain, the assistant manager asked why I didn't watch more closely as my food was being put in the to-go container. I told her that I was under the impression that professional establishments hired professional people. I always try to support local Haitian restaurants whenever I'm in an area that has one but places like this make it very difficult. It's a nice buffet establishment for Haitian cuisine. I have frequent there quite a few times and the stars baseball but the food is decent but they do require a little bit more presentation when it comes to the food that they're providing. They do good food but they do not label their food containers properly nor do they enforce a means of sanitation. I seen a lot of people who do not to sanitize their hands and they're touching so many things and they come in the way they are so I kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well as the food I judge weather I would like it or not. Staff is so dame rude, its like they want you to leave their restaurant and never return. I wasn't expecting much in terms of the atmosphere because of the other reviews. They were right. Its kinda dirty there. But food wise, well stocked, well priced, and good tasting. The pastries are their best item. But if you are looking for way better food, a la carte, and WAYYY friendlier service, do yourself a favor and go next door to the bar on the corner. Energetic music playing as you come in. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and they're very reasonably priced, fresh and delicious! The buffet is a great value - I always get the rice and beans then top it off with fried savory plantains, chicken wings, fried fish and the pork with skin. Ask for their homemade hot sauce which is a type of coleslaw like sauce that goes great with their food. I personally like dipping the plantains into French dressing! Quite tasty Haitian food at a reasonable price. The buffet (which has a large selection of items which one is charged for by weight) is a great deal. One call also order platters with a whole fish, conch, or other entrees with the usual Haitian side dishes. The area has a large Haitian population. Dimly lit, dirty, raggedy and the nerve to be rude. I was in the mood for djon djon so I searched up this place and drove about 7 miles. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was how dark it was and how raggedy it looked. It wasn't really self explanatory but luckily I saw someone paying for his food as I walked in so I figured out for my self that it was self serve and I had to dig in the pots that were off too the side and behind the register. All the pot tops were like halfway on and there was food spilled everywhere. The only way to know what's in the pots is to open them because there were only a few dishes that were labeled and most were wrongly labeled. As I opened the first pot I here a voice from the shadows. I looked to see where the voice was coming from and I saw an older woman plopped in the corner speaking to the woman behind the register. They are talking to each other but they were talking about me. As I looked to the women behind the register she motioned her finger to the front of the store. I said "excuse me?". She said "mask". Mind you the older women was wearing a mask under her chin and the women behind the register wasn't wearing a mask at all. And for context we are well passed any mask mandates. So it is no longer the norm for stores to require masks but I walked to the front got a mask and went back to trying to find what I was looking for. After seeing the pot that was labeled "black rice" had something that I didn't recognize... I asked the lady behind the register if they had any... and of course they didnt. Got a mix of things at the buffet, everything was delicious, not a thing I picked up wasn't at least very good. Had two kinds of chicken drumsticks, griot (pork shoulder), stew beef, stew goat, rice, rice with beans, what I think was quinoa, carrot, okra, lettuce, plantain... They also have lots of fried stuff if you're into that. Everyone kind of stared at me when I walked in (6'4" very white guy) but it was cool once I started plating food. Lots of parking a plus. It's a restaurant-only mall type area with almost 10 choices, kind of interesting. If you have others in your group they can pick and choose what kind of food they want if they're not up for Haitian buffet. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I was on my way to a well-reviewed Vietnamese restaurant, when I saw this sign for Haitian food. My gf is Haitian and I wanted to remember the food she cooks for me when I visit her in the Dominican Republic. Well, this place didn't disappoint. Same tastes. I was confused how it worked at first and the owner walked me through the store and explained each food and how it works there. The atmosphere is pretty basic. Not a place for a date. haha. The tables are crowded together with some seats and I think most people take the food to go. There are a good variety of things to eat, from beans and rice, to various meats, and plaintains of two styles. I'm vegeterian and had plenty of options. They also have talapia there. So, the all-you-can-eat buffet is $15, but I just bought the amount I wanted by the pound. I could barely eat all that I bought and it cost me less than $5. Thus, the high rating. read more

I'm not giving this restaurant 5 stars because it's the self serve does get out of control it's pretty hard to move around when it's a campy area and have people who can't say "excuse me" also it's hot they need to work on some air conditioning because it's scary how hot it was when I went there few times. I do think the owners should renovate the space make it more appealing because. The food here is delicious and authentic!!! It's not conducive for actual "dining in" even though I did sit and eat. Its more of a go in fill your plate and leave. The young lady at the register said hello inspite of the place being packed. We grabbed our Styrofoam containers and proceeded to PACK our plates. As we sat to eat; over 20 people came in and out. This place is great! I think that they must sprinkle crack on this food just before they put it out into the buffet. It's just that addictive! Everything on the menu is seasoned just right. Ok so after searching for some haitian food I came across this restaurant. First off the place is a hole in the wall grease spoon!. The place was dirty. The so called "buffet" was out of everything.
