Absolutely professional, courteous, personable service. And don't let me forget the SAMPLE CAKES! Absolutely MOIST, SWEET, and DELICIOUS! I am shopping bakers for a wedding next year. Lauren and her team responded very quickly even with the COVID they are clean, and most helpful to people (me) who isn't even a booked client yet. I explained what we were doing and our wedding date. I was advised to wait maybe 4-6 months out to make an order but they also told me to come pick up sample cakes from Lauren who was live in the flesh! Lol. If you do not recognize this woman you are in the dark. The cakes were wonderful. It was wrapped nicely. I was able to drive from north Dallas back to work 30 mins out and my cakes were still cool to enjoy. The sample cakes she had were 6 pieces along with a card on each flavor. They are definitely on top of this Covid thing. Normally you would be able to come in and try out cakes but they made it possible to enjoy and sample in the comfort of you home. In my case, comfort of my car. Me and my future husband definitely enjoyed them and the taste has us super excited. Only reason I'm not giving them a well deserved 5 stars is because I haven't ordered my wedding cake yet. I review is based on initial email contact, face to face visit and the amazing sample cakes. Lauren has helped me out on two different occasions where I was literally scouring the internet nationwide. The first time, a very reputable wedding vendor gave me Lauren's name when I wanted hundreds of confections to fit a very specific party theme. Lauren not only agreed to make the unique items but also packaged and delivered them to our venue. She was on time, and gave us a great product. The next time, I had another vendor fall through and called Lauren guiltily asking if there was any way she could 500 candy pieces with my logo. Oh and could she do it in the next 24 hours. She totally did. Now, I really suggest you NOT do that but when you need a cake, you should plan ahead and use this considerate, responsible baker. read more

Lauren is an absolute sweetheart! She completely listens to everything I say and when I say I did not want an extravagant cake she listened when she showed me the design she was thinking! And wow her cakes...so delicious. I froze some leftovers and wow were they delicious even frozen....because I didn't have patience to wait for them to defrost =x I highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding cake or any other cake for that matter to come by and check her bakery! read more

Lauren with Fancy Cakes did our cake for our daughter's wedding. She was awesome to work with and made it exactly as Kristen hoped for. She wanted one side of the cake to be a brides traditional looking cake and the back side to be the grooms cake. The Groom's side was to be a rock climbing side of a mountain with two people climbing to the top. Lauren was able to make it without any fondant which was our request and it turned out perfect - actually beyond perfect!!!! The flavors also matched the perfection on the outside. Have you ever seen the incredibly realistic looking cakes of dogs? My daughter wanted to surprise her "then fiance" with a replica of his dog, Nestle, for the groom's cake. When the groom saw the cake, he was literally brought to tears! To say that Lauren delivered is an understatement! "Nestle" was at the wedding in all his glory and guests literally had to be told it was a cake. They thought it was a statue! Guests throughout the wedding were taking photos and video of the groom's cake. It was definitely a highlight of the event. This is not to say the bride's cake was not beautiful as well, but having a cake like the "Nestle" cake made my daughter's wedding even more of a special event than it already was! If you are blessed enough to be able to schedule Lauren for your wedding, do so! Of all the "add-ons" that you consider for a wedding, this is the one that will have the greatest impact. Lauren is unbelievable! She just made what I would consider the cake of the decade! I threw a surprise party for my husband's 50th birthday with the theme of Space Odyssey 2001. Lauren could not have made a more awesome cake with the movie theme. She also went above and beyond to help me with the table decor which she did not have to do but saw that I was struggling with it. The only reason I am giving one star is the cake taste was good...this cake was for a wedding and looked like a craft project gone bad...when owner was contacted offered a 250.00 refund however I paid 200.00 for a repeat of the cake topper for my daughters 1year anniversary and so I feel basically I only got a 50.00 refund, when I pointed this out, response was refund already processed for that amount no more to be refunded. So not only did the cake not come out as ordered but the owner did nothing to rectify the situation. She is riding on her television appearances...Could have went to grocery store and gotten a prettier cake tasting just as good. Beware*** if she states she is going to give you lots of detail be sure she puts that in the picture, this was another one of her statements is that the cake was exactly as drawn, which when drawn she stated it would be lots and lots of detail on the cake she just couldn't draw all of the detail she was gonna put on the cake (specifically somehting my daughter asked for)...owners idea/suggestion for a sugar bead chandalier I sent 2 emails regarding this chandalier being made out of sugar and on both responses was assured the chandalier would be made out of sugar....the day of the wedding NO Sugar beaded chandalier...not even a chandalier only a row of cheap plastic beads around the top...was horriable experience....this wasn't just a birthday cake, not that a birthday cake isn't important, this was for a wedding how could a person mess up such an important cake and basically have the attitude.... to bad not her problem... read more
