Stumbled upon this place to get a few slices of cake and honestly I wasn't a fan of the cake itself, and that's rare. I rarely meet a sweet I don't like. LoL The cake was extremely "oily". The slices were wrapped in parchment paper and packeged really nicely in boxes and presentation was definitely there. But the oil or whatever the ingredient was that caused the "oily" nature ...was seeping through this paper. I ended up not even finishing the slices I got. Carol is really fabulous!! We met with her for our wedding cake tasting and by far she was the sweetest, most honest and relaxed vendor. She understood what we wanted, size Of our wedding, design style and worked with us. The cake turned out beautiful and delicious. The only drawback was we selected two different flavors, one for guests and one for our top tier and it was switched. My experience....NOT so fabulous. Approximately one week prior, I called and spoke with Carol and asked if she could make a strawberry cake with cream cheese/buttercream icing with Happy Birthday and my son's name with a border. I told her I needed it on 7/31 and she asked me to call back the Tuesday prior, and I did. Once again I stated what I was looking for (I had contacted a few different bakeries so I had already repeated what I needed several times). I thought we were on the same page based on our two conversations and thought no more of it. I paid the $40 deposit on a $75 cake via Venmo. A couple of days prior, I received a text message asking if there was a theme. I relayed that he was turning 30 (so I wouldn't get a kiddie decorated cake) and that he was a musician so a musical note and masculine border would be fine. When I picked up the cake there was a "30" on top with musical notes. The happy birthday was not written on top but rather on the paper plate the cake was sitting on. I never asked for the age to be on the cake, only "Happy Birthday Proz" which logically is on top of the cake (every other place I've ever asked for HBD on a cake). I took the numbers off bc my son was explicit in not wanting his age on the cake. There was no effort in attempting to decorate the cake, other than placing musical notes all over. An experienced baker/cake decorator would have used their creativity to at least add a border to the top part of the cake (and not just the bottom). The first photo you see is after I took the numbers off. The other pics are of the cake immediately after I cut it. I expressed to Carol when picking up the cake that I asked for cream cheese/butter cream icing and she said there was cream cheese filling inside the cake which I never asked for. She said "I have it written down right here"; however she clearly wrote it down incorrectly. I even clarified before hanging up that I wanted cream cheese icing. I never mentioned wanting a filling of any sort. No part of this cake tasted like cream cheese. I was not happy, but did not want to complain in the store. I vowed to not write an unfavorable review of the cake if the inside made up for the outside. Sorry to say, it did not. It was dry (although she made it a point to tell me when I picked it up that she had just baked it yesterday), it was over cooked, and there was entirely too much icing. This was an epic fail. I am highly disappointed in my experience. I would not recommend this bakery. read more

I was extremely excited to try this cake company. They had beautiful pictures of their cakes online and in binders at the store. The reason for 3 stars was for cake decorations ( lack there of and hand written message). I will take some of the blame for lack of decoration because maybe I wasn't as detailed as I should have been when ordering. Even though I said here is the picture I want, and you all can be creative with decorations around picture, no decorations were placed so the cake was very plain looking for 55 dollars. 2nd, whomever does the WRITTEN messages on the cakes honestly needs more practice. I would show a picture, but I bought this cake for a friend's organization and I feel too ashamed to show the decor of the cake with that organization's name on it (that's how disappointed I was in cake presentation). Overall, cake tasted good which saved it from its looks. I would recommend you look at the handwriting on other sample cakes and see if that's works for you (I personally would not recommend having their current decorator write anything). Dallas' own Cakeboss! My friend received a very impressive birthday cake from Cakes 4 All, in the likeness of his favorite thing: bbq! The cake was beautiful...it looked JUST like sausages, ribs, brisket on a bbq pit! Even the spatula was edible! Price for the cake came out to be $120 + additional $30 for the decorations on the side (i.e. spatula and bbq sauce bottle), and they turned this cake around in 2-3 days! This cake, about 14", easily fed 20. However, the taste of the cake was average. It was red velvet on the inside. The cake itself was moist but otherwise lacked the red velvet-ness flavor. Also the frosting was clearly not cream cheese. It might have been buttercream, but it was mostly just fluff and sweet in a nondescript and uninteresting way. They had the best prices in the metroplex for the cake I wanted. I sent a picture of the cake I wanted, which was a Jackson guitar. When I picked it up, I just thought it looked great. When I took it to the the "party" the musicians all lost their minds about how detailed the cake was. It apparently looked EXACTLY like the guitar, including all the small details. The most important thing to me, (and the reason I come back)is the awesome flavor of the cakes. The green cake was a lemon cake with raspberry filling. The cake was very soft and moist, very good. Some friends who tried it said it was one of the best cakes they have ever had. My cake, the chocolate one, was yellow cake , chocolate frosting with caramel filling, so good.
