I upgrade to the medium level pedicure which was around$45. The entire pedicure lasted around 30-45 minutes. The tech did not fully remove my old nail polish. I did an upgrade to help remove dead skin and soften my heels, that did not happen. I had to come home and remove more. Also, I had a cut on one of my toes that some how the tech did not notice and made it worse. That toe is now EXTREMELY red and swollen, with skin around the nail dying and peeling off. I wish I could give this place a second chance but I will not put myself at risk for another injury. read more

If you are looking for an unprofessional, inconsiderate place to get your nails done here's the place for you. I have been coming here for YEARS and Tivia does an absolute beautiful job on my nails every time ,however, EVERY SINGLE TIME I come there is some kind of scheduling conflict on her side. If it's not with me, it's with other clients in the salon. I always have an appointment booked out weeks in advance and when I get there she will have just started someone else's nails, running behind, forgets about my appointment, or is constantly stopping to work on my nails to help someone else. Don't get me wrong, shame on me for continuing to come back, but it's very hard having such a busy schedule and being able to get into an appointment so close to my house and work. As a cosmetology student I would NEVER EVER do this to one of my clients and if anything ever came up allowing me to not be able to make it to an appointment or have to arrive late I would 100% be apologetic and give either a discount or free service. However that would never happen at this CHEEP UNPROFESSIONALLY OWNED over priced salon. read more

Clean and friendly. Basic pedicure at a good price. Hot towels and quick massage which works for me. I don't do well with sitting forever so this place works for me. I always bring my own polish. Hope the don't mind. It makes me a little paranoid when others I don't know use community Polish. I always feel relaxed and happy with the service after its completed . Made an appointment. They were 20 min late taking me. Then the water for my pedi was cold. I asked them to FILE my nails they CUT them UNEVENLY. After, they just left me to work on someone else. I wasn't sure I was done because they did NOT apply nail polish. My nails were still rough and they said oh you are done. Go wash your hands. I asked for a coat of clear nail polish and they laughed. Never Again! I went to Fancy Nails to find someplace closer to me to get a decent manicure and pedicure. I walked in to a very simple place with next to no selection of neutral gel polish despite their numerous bright colors. I was seated for a pedicure - the basin did not have a liner like 99% of the nail salons do these days - which grossed me out. The gentleman doing my nails seemed so unsure of himself that I was so nervous and never relaxed which was the point of going! He spoke no English so it was terrible to communicate with him. Once he finished my pedicure - which was one of the worst ones I have ever had... he did my nails. They were not all the same shape when he was done. When i went to cash out - I was charged the special of $30 for a mani/pedi and then a $15 up charge for gel and a fee for them removing the old gel nail polish. Wouldn't one assume that if I was getting gel polish, they would need to remove the old? To boot, my polish chipped within a week. I will not return and I'd tell anyone looking for a new salon to keep looking... read more

I really liked the final product! I called before to ask how they remove gel polish and the woman told me they sand off the polish then wrap your nails for 5-10 minutes. She even told me that drilling them is very bad for your nails, which I knew. When I got there the man who did my nails drilled the polish almost all the way off and wrapped my nails for maybe 3 minutes before scraping and filing my nails. One of my nails broke. He did fix it with a dip powder (not sure if he charged me for this or not). I picked my OPI gel colors from the abundance of color options, and he painted my nails. I chose the ring finger to be a different color than the others. They honestly came out beautiful and I love the shape and how he added a third coat of glitter to make it show better (not sure if I was charged extra for this either). Final product was great and I was in and out in an hour. They also took me right away. Cost was $26 after a $2 student discount. For those reasons my first experience here was 3 stars! read more

I went here to get a Mani pedi and it was terrible. The pedicure water was cold, the nail tech would jerk my arm and hand around. The worst was my gel manicure which feels like crap and I am going to get them redone somewhere else. There are huge bubbles and she did so many coats my nails are huge and heavy. The pedicure basin did not a have a liner which is gross and unsanitary. She also got mad at me when I asked for my French manicure to be a little thicker on the white part. I was in town for a wedding and so decided to do a mani pedi on Saturday while the hubby was off doing groomsman things. The salon was literally across the street from the VRBO condo where we were staying so I figured I'd just pop over. There were only three ladies working when I got there so I had to sit about 30 mins in the pedi chair before they started me, but I had nothing going on so I didn't mind. I had a young girl work on me who was very very nice. I typically don't really like to chat during my beauty procedures, nothing against anyone but I rarely get alone time so I just like to be quiet. She chatted a little bit and was very nice though so I didn't mind. She seemed a little new (had to ask where some things were) and she was just the tiniest bit shaky. Not sure if that's her normal or if she was nervous, but the mani and pedi turned out great. She was receptive to my input and did what I asked which is alwasy nice. If i'm ever in town again I'd def return! read more

first time i went it was really nice, they couldn't find the color i wanted and i think the girl felt bad so she did a design on my nails which i originally just wanted a regular french tip..it looked really good. it was 60 for a full set acrylic with gel (which included a student discount) which is fine cause they were really nice. 3 weeks later i went in for a fill and only nail fell off. a different girl did them that time..i asked for a green french tip with a white line on the border and bro, each line is curved differently. none of them are in the middle. AND she forgot the pink base coat!!!! so you can see the acrylic on the tips. how do u forget that? and it costed me 54 fucking dollars. how is a fill only less then 10 dollars than a whole set???? makes no sense!!! i saw her punch in 38 ( which i think is the original price for a fill. then talked to the girl that did them and added 18. THEN asked if i was a student which i said yes and she didn't subtract anything???? i would go there once for a full set but that's it read more

Went here for a pedicure yesterday. They were very friendly and greeted me right away, and overall did a good job. My boyfriend had made the appointment and they told him it would take about 45 min for the deluxe pedicure. After I selected my color and sat down they had me soak my feet for about 10 min before the tech started, so then in total it actually took an hour and 15 min plus drying time. My tech spoke hardly any English so it was difficult to communicate what I wanted, although the other two girls there were fluent (& one didn't have a client so she could have helped translate ‍). The foot massage was lame, as in hardly got a massage at all (which I thought was a little sad for getting the deluxe package). Also he put my flip flops on (which would not have been difficult to slip on after the pedicure at all) before he painted my toes in addition to the toe separators and then was trying to bend my toes in weird directions to paint them which was actually fairly painful sometimes, and which was difficult to tell him bc of the language barrier. BUT, overall he did a really good job, my feet are nice and soft, the place seems clean and cute, and everyone was super friendly. read more

The worst service I ever received. I can't blame the salon because my friend joined me and the woman who did her pedicure was awesome. I happened to have the most miserable woman on the planet. She was very rude. After she completed the pedicure she walked away started to do something else then returned to me and said "oh your going to sit here until your nails dry?"I replied "Is there a drying station?" she pointed to it. I proceeded to pick up my stuff and waddled to the station. My friends pedicurist carried her stuff and walked her to the drying station. I was looking at the polish and noticed that it was messy. The pedicurist came over to me and I told her it was messy. She said it will dry ok. I gave up. I wish I had her name. Because the salon was fine this woman just sucked! read more

Clean and efficient, and the staff are very nice. I called ahead on a busy Saturday for a last minute mani/pedi before a wedding and they were able to easily work me into their schedule. I had my pedicure first and even the basic one comes with a foot/leg scrub and massage. Then came my gel manicure. I have to say, they have an amazing assortment of gel polishes to choose from, not just a few short racks. At $50 total, the price was not the cheapest ever, but it was definitely fair. The best part is I was in and out in 45 min! It was by far the fastest mani/pedi experience I've had and not because of a lack of quality. My first visit was yesterday with Wendy. I needed a fill - badly. My usual salon had changed owners and was not available. I called ahead to make sure it was a good time to go. They take walk-ins but I wanted to be sure I wouldn't have a long wait. The salon is conveniently located and seemed very clean. I was seen within 10 minutes of arrival. Under new ownership! The new owner is very rude. I have nothing against knowing more than one language because I can speak three myself, but since we do live in the US, it would be nice if they spoke English, especially when they all can speak English and customers are sitting in front of them who do not understand them. Three of them are and speak Vietnamese, including the owner. They speak their language constantly and it is very uncomfortable, especially when it is obvious that they are talking bad about a customer or one of the English speaking employees. Two employees speak English and are very sweet (including the one who did my pedicure and gel fill with gel polish). As a matter of fact, the two English speaking employees also speak another language, but not in front of customers. Every since the new owner took over last week, this place has gone downhill. I have been a dedicated customer for over 3 years and now I am leaving. I am hoping that the girl who does my nails moves to another salon because she is excellent with her customers and does a superb job! She is fabulous with nail art. The other nail technicians (owner and two who speak Vietnamese) are horrible. They rush to get the job done and it looks horrendous. On Wednesday, June 23, 2016 at 10:13pm., I received the following text from the new owner: "Hi (insert my name), this is Kitty, manager at the Fancy Nail Salon at 458 Hope St. Bristol RI, 02809, now under new management. We are offering 30% OFF on all nail care services of $20 or more to all New and Return Clients. To schedule your next visit, please call +1 (401) 396-5570 See you soon!!! We are ready to pamper you!" First off, who texts customers at that time of night. Secondly, when I arrived for my appointment today, I was told they were not accepting the 30% off and it was now 20% off. If you recall, the text message does not have an expiration date and it was just sent out last week. I am a faithful customer who gets a pedicure and gel fill with gel polish every two weeks. She has lost my business!!! While I was sitting at the table getting my 4th of July nail art done, the new owner came over to my nail technician and gave her a bottle of polish that was for her next appointment. She came out point blank and said, "you need to be on time". I responded by saying, "Sorry I decided to get extra nail art, but I figured the money would be good for your business." She walked away. Mind you, my nail technician was 10 minutes late because I decided to get decked out for the 4th. Once she finished my nails, I tipped her well even though I was told I could only get 20% off because I knew it was not her fault (plus all the prices went up). As I was leaving, I walked over to the owner and quietly whispered to her that she was rude and that was uncalled for since I was the paying customer who decided to get extra nail art. She started to speak to me and say "oh no, it's not..." and I stopped her by saying "you are rude and I understand that you want to make money in your business, but customers need to be treated respectfully" and walked out. As I looked back, she was talking bad about me to a customer sitting in front of her. In the meantime, she was bad mouthing her employees while I was there. That is uncalled for and a definite NO! NO! You can tell that their is tension in the establishment between the employees and the new owner. Such an unhappy dynamic between management and employees is unfortunate as well as uncomfortable for patrons. read more

Worst pedicure and manicure I've ever received. I decided to walk in before a wedding, wasn't in a rush but they sure were. Mani and pedi done in under 30mins. She barely touched my feet, left cuticles poking out everywhere, then got into a yelling match with another worker mid manicure. Basically filed my nails and then painted them and wanted me to wait to pay while she duked it out with the other lady. Get me out of here!
