First time visitor today but it definitely will not be my last. I am very, very particular about my nails. I moved to the other side of the city and wanted to find somewhere closer to my house and a friend recommended this place. I got a manicure and pedicure and enjoyed both. I had to kill sometime so I decided for a last minute pedicure. I stopped in and they weren't busy. I chose to get gel. The a woman did a really nice job BUT the location has really gone down hill with the cleanliness factor. Also, she was talking on the phone via speaker mid pedicure for more than a short period of time. Which was anything but relaxing. The place did not feel clean, the ceiling was all in disarray it looked like they were mid fix of a leak with towels hanging out of the ceiling. There was spray bottle containers all over the floor, drawers open all around the salon. The cup holders on the pedicure chairs were filled with sludge. I had a drink and I didn't even want to put it in there, it was to the point of gagging. Central nails get back on your a game and clean up your shop!!!!! read more

This is my first 1-star review, but I'm very disappointed with the manicure I received. I've been coming here on and off for years, and probably 25% of the time I am satisfied with the service. My manicure today solidified the fact that I won't be returning to give them another shot. First, she didn't fully remove my previous gel manicure. Then she quickly and unevenly trimmed my nails, and barely touched my cuticles. Big mistake running around during the holiday season and could not figure out how to get to my preferred salon. walked by this one and figured I would give it a try. I just wanted a basic manicure. Big mistake I should have turned around when reviewing the polishes -looked old. They took me right away, but the table was dirty. It took forever for them to find a sanitized tool kit while I soaked in lukewarm water. the file was so rough that my nails, even after polish, are rough around the edges. So, I usually don't complain too much about nail salons. They aren't that expensive and they do a better job than I would. But on my last visit, I was getting a pedicure. It wasn't thattttt busy but they stuck me in a pedicure chair and took the woman who came in after me for a manicure. They ran my water and started my soaking. This all sounds great but they left me there. For 40 minutes while they did her entire pedicure. My water was no longer warm. I wanted a manicure as well but knew I wouldn't have the time after starting that way. After my 40 minutes sitting in the chair, they came over and started. They did not scrub my feet and do all the cool things to get them nice and soft. My feet aren't really that rough in the first place but I had some dead skin from past blisters that have always been buffed off in the past. They didn't even try. The girl was spaced out. She didn't talk to me. And I had to stop her and ask her to fix my toe because she missed a whole side of one of the nails. the whole process took well over an hour. It wasn't enjoyable. read more

AVOID. Me & a friend had 1pm appointments booked, they put us in pedicure chairs for 30min while they worked on 2 walk ins that came in after us. Station was not clean- there was nail power build up everywhere which is honestly pretty gross to look at. I never saw anyone clean stations in between guests they just threw a new towel down- i never saw anyone clean anything while I was there. The utensil tray was dirty & although I saw the utensils come out of the uv box, they weren't in sterilization bags and they looked dirty. Manicurist cut me while trimming cuticles BECAUSE SHE KEPT LOOKING AWAY TO THE DOOR WHILE SHE WAS TRIMMING. When she noticed i started bleeding she told me it was from the buffer and not her literally cutting into my skin with the trimmers. Paint job was at the same level- have bubbles on my middle finger because she blew through it so quickly. 4 coats in 5 minutes. Just find another place. read more

I went in for a 5pm appointment they were so backed up with what I'm assuming was walk ins there was 5 of us with appointments waiting some 30 mins past their appointment time. What is the point of making an appointment if you have to wait anyways?. Well I wanted a Dip Manicure and a regular pedicure. Pedicure was fine except he did the top coat right as I was about to leave and they smudged. The dip manicure..... AWFUL. I asked to fix certain places a couple times and he wouldn't do it insisted it was fine. Left excess glue and powder all over my fingers. Didn't cut my cuticles or do anything you should do with a manicure. The dip is uneven and there's a bunch of smudges and hairs in the top coat. For 60.00 I am extremely displeased and will never come back here again, last time I got a gel manicure and it chipped a day later figured I'd give them another shot but they just seem to rush all their customers out and do a subpar job. read more

November 2017: This salon is not bad. It's well located and relatively clean. The staff seems pretty nice and competent. There is a good selection of polishes. The fees are reasonable. The amenities are acceptable. The wait time is generally acceptable if you are a walk in. The process time for each procedure (manicure, pedicure etc is normal) But. The woman who manages this place is just plain and simple nasty. Poor attitude. Appears rotten to her employees. Sneer on her face. I would never even consider working for or with her if this was my trade. I suspect that it must not be pleasant for the staff as, at least from my perspective, it is not pleasant for a patron who comes in one time per week and is subjected to her attitude. December 2017: I had recent occasion to patronize the salon subsequent to my initial review. This woman manager clearly failed to anticipate the walk in traffic associated with the holiday. She had 3 patrons (one of whom was me) waiting more than 40 minutes for service. She suggested her employees were "stuck in traffic" as the reason. Of course, it was late morning in north Kingstown. Let me know about the traffic issue...all 3 of us just resented the misdirection and misrepresentation. Personally. I stayed because I needed the service. I've been trying different salons in the area and I tried this the first time and was not impressed at all but people kept saying good things about it, so I went back. They did a better job the second time but still nothing amazing. The person who did mine was very friendly but she made me bleed, and smudged the color multiple times. She told me my feet were dry so I put my shoes on and when I got home they were all smudged. $50 for a manicure and pedicure, which is pretty reasonable. read more
