Hit or miss. I've been here a few times in the past months, with vastly differing outcomes. Pics included to illustrate. Once I got a gorgeous pink gel mani, and another time a rushed, poorly-done regular mani with an uneven paint job (messy edges and polish quickly put on with little care). The salon is super busy, and feels overbooked when 4 nail techs are running around between 8 customers. Some regulars near me seemed to love it though and seem to get better results with more careful work. I wouldn't come here unless you're planning to establish yourself as a "regular", otherwise your manicure may be the last priority in their juggling of customers. One bright side- they're the cheapest around. On the down side- you never know if you'll get a lovely manicure or if you'll be left with a messy polish job that you could've done at home. read more

My CND Shellac French is still kicking 17 days later! I chose this location specifically because I only trust CND Shellac for my French manicures and it was the week of my wedding. I was able to pre-book 3 manicures for myself, my sister, and mom which relieved a lot of stress! Not only did my manicure last through my week long honeymoon in Cancun (lots of swimming), the attached photos are from today, 17 days later!! The only thing making me want to take it off is my natural line starting to show on most of my nails now. The manicurist was super patient with me as I am very particular about the width of my white line and kindly redid my ring finger twice! I never have luck with the nail salons in Lexington. I would avoid this one. Came here for a gel manicure with gel removal. It appears that this is a family business and perhaps the owner's son did my nails. Unfortunately, he didn't do a good job. Business was slow and the salon was able to accommodate me as a walk-in with only one other customer present. The technician started by using the dremmel-like device totally to remove my gel polish, which is a huge no-no! If they insist on using the dremmel, it should be just to scrape the surface of the polish prior to using acetone to remove the gel. The tech was just looking for speed and not the health of my natural nails, which is the difference between a place that just wants to take your money and one that does a good job. He drilled through the tips of my nails in several spots and hit my cuticle with the dremmel twice, which hurt like hell. I noticed that the tech had trouble locating the polish shade that I asked for and the one I am wearing doesn't look the same as the swatch that I chose. It's a violet toned pink, which is trashier IMO. I wouldn't choose this. The shaping of the nails was very poorly done. I wanted to grab the nail file and finish them myself. There was zero attention to getting a good shape - just smoothing any rough edges. Worst part is the paint job. It's very gloopy with a raised, bubble-like finish at the tips. I would say that the work done on my nails is okay for a teenage girl or someone working in a fast food place, but it's not good work in general. I will be paying for a removal today. read more

We took the bride to fancy nails and salon to get her nails done for her wedding the following day. We were extremely impressed with the service and care that the employees put into not only the bride but the entire party. We all decided to get the SNS polish done which proved to be a good choice. They spent a lot of time making sure that the polish came out smooth and even and that it was not extra thick. I have never had the SNS before and it was a really good experience. I got an all white polish and it looks just like the gel nail polish that I normally get at other salons. Very happy with my nails and will most likely be getting SNS in the future instead of gel. read more

This is the only place I will go for my nails, because they are the best! I always try to make an appointment for SNS but even if I don't they try to accommodate me. They know most customers names by heart, and it seems like they have tons of regulars, myself included. Absolutely the best nail salon ever! Used to work nearby so that's how I found it. I no longer work nearby so I drive 25 min to get my nails done here. I'm particular in the shape and design for my nails and Wee and Kay ALWAYS get it right. I never have to say anything to adjust "this or that". I come in with a picture I've found on Instagram and they replicate it and even make it better. I ALWAYS get compliments on my nails and have sent so many people here that also love it! I've been here a few times for basic pedicures and basic gel manicures. I've had fair experiences/outcomes, nothing remarkably good or bad until this last time. I'd decided to finally give the SNS system a try- I was psyched! When I got there I asked the price difference between SNS and gel, without saying a word, the woman simply walks away. Eventually the guy came over- apparently the only one who does the SNS or even knows how much it costs. He couldn't find the book of colors and then seems to notice that he has an appointment coming up and asks me to come back tomorrow. No. At this point I just decide to switch to a plain gel manicure and am given back to the woman who had initially walked away. Again she says nothing and is instead sitting in front of me on her iPhone. With her phone on her shoulder she starts filing my nails without asking what shape. I asked if someone else could possibly do my manicure. While pleasant, the woman who did my manicure filed my nails super short and got polish all everywhere. Unsurprisingly, no one came in for an appointment the entire time I was there. read more

three words: NEVER going back. to elaborate however; unsanitary, RUDE, biased, over priced. They dont't care about their customers and will juggle you between multiple customers at a time ( even if you called ahead). They will yell at you and rush you about how you need to hurry up and pick a color although calling ahead and only looking at colors for a couple minutes. They can't even do many designs. So I get shellac done on my nails every 2 weeks or so, but I got so sick of the salons that charge $50.00, because that's just ridiculous. Or the salons that charge $22.00, but the paint chips in 2 days. So, I stumbled upon Fancy Nails & at $23.00 for a shellac manicure I decided to give it a try. They seriously do a better job than most of the places that charge $45+. This place is great! I go back every two weeks religiously. Ummm I don't understand all the 4 and 5 star ratings. I went to this place because of all the high ratings it got and was really disappointed. Maybe more confused than anything. I was expecting to be pampered and have a nice clean luxurious experience... instead the guy who did my nails did not say a word to me the whole time... and as I sat there in my seat while he did my nails I looked around the place and the wall behind the manicure tables were strewn with their jackets and personal belongings and random cereal boxes... the sink where they had me wash my hands was surrounded by used towels... my nails were dried with regular dinky little fans that blew cold air at me, which in the summer time was fine but if it were winter I would not have been happy. I have been to this salon many times before and have never had an issue. Today I went in to have a spa pedicure and a dip-powder manicure. I was rushed into the pedicure tub while trying to pick a color that was available in regular polish and the powder. I finally found the one I wanted and the woman (older with glasses; I didn't get her name) proceeded with my pedicure, which was subpar and certainly not worth the extra money I paid. Since I already had powder on my nails, she had me soak them in a bowl of scalding hot water and acetone and then made me try and scrape off the powder myself instead of wrapping my nails in cotton/foil and doing it herself because "it's faster if I do it" she said. When I went to sit for my nails to be done, she then proceeded to tell me that the color I picked out isn't available and now I have to choose something else that wasn't an exact match to my toes, no big deal. As she continued to shape/prepare my nails, she immediately went to cut off my long (natural nails) without even asking me if I wanted to cut them. Luckily I stopped her before she cut them. From there she started filing/smoothing my nails with the grinder/dremel tool which can become very hot if focused on one part of the nail for too long. She kept going over the same spot on one nail and I had to actually pull my hand away because it was so hot and painful. She just shrugged it off and continued. Once the color they picked out for me was applied, it was this hideous mustard yellow color (I wanted a nice pastel yellow to match my toes). Before I could say anything the powder was already on the majority of my nails and I didn't want to ruin my actual nails by taking it off and having to soak them in acetone again. After everything was finished, I paid $80 for this disaster and can say I won't be coming back. I know that the other girls can be fantastic, so take my word with a grain of salt. read more

I had an excellent experience here (walked in on a Saturday). The woman who took care of me was My, and she did a wonderful job on my very short, messy nails. I only went in for a pedi, but decided to stay for a mani because I was enjoying the conversation with My so much. I couldn't make up my mind for a color, and My ended up choosing one for me that I adore. She was not only attentive, but smart and funny and a great conversationalist. The place was very clean, and they stayed open a half hour late to finish up on me and one other customer. This was the worst salon and service I have ever received. Every 2 minutes the girl that was doing my pedicure was answering phone-calls and excepting payments from other customers... I would be fine with all the an-professionalism and interactions every 2 min if the job was done properly. I did my pedicure yesterday and it did not feel that I have pedicure done at all. She was so much in rush that she finished my pedicure in 20 minutes. Today I made another appointment with another salon at Lexington. I decided to give this place a try, because most of the yelp reviews were positive. Mistake. I concur with the negative reviews on this place on every detail possible. The guy another review mentioned... HORRIBLE. Not everyone likes his/her job. I get it. But if that's the case and you still want to show how disgruntled you are (although you're in a wrong industry to begin with - hello, this is a SERVICE industry), at least be cordial. Is that too much to ask for? It showed on all his performances - the cutting, the filing, attitude both inside out. Just plain old nasty. When he was filing my toes, he would stab the top of my foot with the end of the filer then file my skin on my toes. Unbelievable. It actually HURT. Doesn't even say hello, and instead would tap (yes, TAP) me. Rude. You don't make to speak good English - but at the very least why don't you try being nice? If you're having a bad day, then just let it not affect your performance on work each time. I can't tell if the place is very clean either. Sure, the chairs are new; but I saw oily residue floating on some of the pedicure spa tubs... Yuck! read more

This place deserves rave reviews. Each time I get my polish done, it lasts for over a week. And last time I got a pedicure, they asked if I wanted to keep the cute purple pumice bar, which I use in the shower and my feet have never been so soft. Also, this place is open on Sundays, not to mention that I don't have to look for parking, since there are always spaces available in the center. I don't go and do my nails unless it's for a special occasion. A couple of weeks ago, I went there because I had a holiday party to attend. I planned to get a manicure, but when I arrived, one of the ladies looked at my hand and suggested gel manicure. I was told that it would last longer and remain shiny for 2 weeks plus. I've been going to Fancys for 6 years on and off, and use to LOVE it! However within the past year and a half they must of changed owners. ( although the new owner use to work at the old one!) This last time I went will be my last sadly, they asked to wait thirty minutes and I did even thought there where only 2 other customers in the spa. I decided while I was there I would have them do my eyebrows while I waited. The women took off 1/3 of my eyebrow on the left side and right side the same length! I was furious, when I asked her what happened she said they where like that!! When I went in at 11:40 and they told me to wait 30 minutes I had no worries however at 12:25 they still had me waiting. I then paid for my butchered eyebrows and left. The time before this I was very disappointed with my fill, the nails were to long and way to thick! When I ask her to trim them she said they looked better like this, and kept going. That's not her place to decide. This place is so convenient, I really want to love it, but I've recently had a change of heart. There has to be some place better. I started going to this salon for gel, years ago. They have an awesome selection of colors. At the time, they were promoting gel manicures for $22. The next time I went in, the price jumped to $26. The next time, $28 and now $30 -- which is acceptable, since its the going rate. A couple of months ago, I was "sold" on trying the SNS Mani that they're promoting. "How much?", I asked. It was a competitive $35 -- BUT, if you want your cuticles done, she says, it's $40. Hmmm, okay. Two months later, prices have jumped to $40 for SNS, BUT it's still an extra $5 if you want them to clean your cuticles. Really? Umm, isn't that why I'm here? Get ready to dish out $45 for an SNS Mani if you want your cuticles cut and cleaned up. I wouldn't be surprised if they increase the price for SNS again in a month. On your way out, they'll hand you an "incentive" card. Come back WITHIN 3 weeks and we'll only charge you $35 (without cuticle clean up) for your SNS. Done with this game. They're not over the top, it's similar to any other place and the staff are less than happy or friendly. Lastly, they're pedicures aren't for me. I like a good scrub, a real good heel clean up -- this isn't the place for a deep pumice scrubbing and clean up. The pedicures are quick. read more

This is the best nail salon I have ever been to. I happened to go to shopping in Burlington Mall, I found out this nail salon. I decided to give it a try, boy I was happy I did. People over there are friendly. They give me a warm welcome. As I was giving the manicure by one of their nail technician, looking around I found out that they even have the nice air purify which told me that they do care for their customers. This place is the WORST! I walked in on a Wed evening around 5:40 and waited at the front desk for someone to assist me (mind you, there were 2 ppl at the reception desk totally ignoring me). Finally after 5 mins, someone asks how they can help me, they tell me to pick a color & have a seat in the pedi chair. I take a seat and look around. There are 5 employees & 7 clients. It is NOW 6:20 and I'm STILL WAITING and the pedi water is now FREEZING COLD! 2 girls walk in after me at separate times and BOTH of them get helped before me...now I'm just livid! I speak up & am told "these girls had appts" WTF! So I cont to sit here...6:23 & finally someone starts my pedi! The place closes at 7 & I still have to get my nails done! My friend and I love getting our nails done and have tried many places around town. We have both found that fancy's is the best place for a manicure and pedicure. Their polish always stays on and rarely chips. Their pedicures are relaxing and well done. The prices are also very fair and reasonable.
