If I could give this place 6 stars I would! These people are some of the sweetest ever. My mom and I have been coming for over 8 years, and I just started coming more regularly. They have completely fixed my ingrown nails every time and although they are a little sore for 1-2 days after, I cannot feel them WHATSOEVER for 1-2 months of athletics, yoga, and dance, especially going consistently. I had a very good experience with the pedicure here based on a friends recommendation to try this place However, I came back for a dip manicure and they gave me to someone who is not very experienced and it showed due to taking over 90 minutes; One of the Nails bled the color into the main part of the nail and when I pointed it out to her right away, the manicurist brushed me off and did not want to fix it. When she used the drill, she tried to drill off my cuticle which was painful, and I had to ask her to stop When she did the drill again, to smooth out the nail with the layers of dip on it, she also nicked my skin around the mail bed more than a few fingers and i said ouch... each time I will go back for the pedicure, because it was a different person. but I don't think I'm gonna return for the dip manicure. What I noticed about the salon is that if you are new like I am the time to give you to the folks who are not completely seasoned in their craft ,,, the better manicurists appear to be managing their regular customers. Which is a shame because I wanted to spend my money here. I also don't get the sense that I'm allowed to ask for specific manicurists ( unless you are a regular customer) the woman that made the original appointment for me let me to believe I would be seeing her. Hello everyone, Sharing a not so pleasant experience at Lexington nails for anyone with a gift card. If you have gift card sadly you can no longer use them. I was shocked by the sudden news and how the owner handled this. Reporting from a few months ago. Briefly, like most people I had a couple of gift cards and didn't get to use them during COVID. Once things opened up I tried to use the gift cards a couple of times and was told the machine is broken. Third time I was told the owners changed and they will no longer accept gift cards. I mentioned that they need to let people know ahead of time but they could care less. I have been going there for years now, with my daughter and friends that visit. I have always given gift cards from Lexington nails to help local business. I realize it is very hard for small business owners but there is away to keep your customers and this is not it. I since have not gone back and couldn't be happier with Kandi Nails across the streets, much nicer, cheaper, they even do a paraffin wax treatment as part of their basic manicure. read more

My nails are terrible and always have been, so I figured that dipping them couldn't hurt. I've had it done twice already, and I love it. The folks at Lexington Nails and Spa know what they're doing and they do it quickly, efficiently and well. John did such an amazing job! He really took his time and was very meticulous when it came to shape and smoothing them out. The acrylics I came in with, done elsewhere, were done poorly. He totally turned them around and made suggestions for next time. He even cut my cuticles which I've never had done for acrylics. He also helped me when I was having a hard time deciding between colors. It's a bit of a higher price point than I'm used to but I recently moved back to the area from out of state. Such a warm welcome from Annie at the front desk! I'm not a regular salon person so it's nice to have a patient person explain all the options. I had a regular pedi with Thuy and a dip French mani with Tom, who were both super professional and detailed in their work, 2 weeks ago. I keep having mixed experiences, but ultimately my beautiful natural nails collapsed After repeated gel and then powder dip services. At one point I asked, perhaps this is damaging my nails because every time you remove the polish the nail gets thinner and thinner and they reassured me that the nails would get stronger. So no, I do not recommend this business. Long term nail health is important and if they are going to prioritize short term success, without taking precautions to ensure that the nail stays healthy and strong, it's not the business for me. read more

I often jump around to different nail salons although I do have a couple favorites. I mostly go for pedicures with an occasional manicure here and there. Lexington Nails is local and convenient so I figured I would give it a shot. My experience was decent and my toes look great, but I guess it was just an average pedi. I was torn on the amount of stars to give. I feel I have had better service at the four star rating, but felt three stars was unfair. The salon was very busy and it seemed there were a lot of "regulars" at the shop so they must be doing something right. The staff is kind and attentive, but not overly friendly or enthusiastic. The price for the pedi was about average at $30. I thought the salon was clean, but the environment was a bit dull and not super relaxing or comfortable. This place is like hell! Please don't ruin your day! This place wasn't like this before, but it changed recently! I used to come here for 2 years and did my nail with Tran! Unfortunately she left! This is my first appointment with Katie, who says is the manager! She is very rude! I went 5 minutes late for manicure! She did not come to me because she was doing pedicure and was busy when I entered the salon! I went to choose my colour right away, but after 5 minutes she came to me and said I cannot do colour because it is late and she has clients!!!! She did not even say hi!!! I said that she was even not done with her last client, but she did not accept it!!!! She was very rude to me! I tried to explain her that even if I was late she could say it in a nice way! She said that it is how it is and I can leave if I don't like it!!!! I was very upset and felt so bad! Please don't ruin your day! This place used to be nice, but now it is not good! She ruined my day and even did not respect other clients sitting there! She is a very impolite person!!!! One more thing! First timer looking for a cheaper solution than MiniLuxe in town. Pleasantly surprised. Simple decor, but bright and airy. Everything very clean, take all the precautions I would want to see to ensure cleanliness and safety. My pedicure came out honestly as one of the best I've had - trimming and paint look perfect! Very clean, nice place to get a quick mani & pedi. It's Vietnamese-owned, but is step above the normal nail salons. The owner, Tammy, is totally sweet & wonderful, and the staff is well-trained. Not a lot of chatter so you can enjoy a nice, calm environment in their new, fancy spa chairs. The BEST feature is they store your very own box of nail equipment if you're a regular customer, which includes a cuticle cutter, file, & smoothing block. Talk about sterile and low-risk of bacterial infection! It's a small shop, so call ahead for an appointment. The quality of their mani/pedis is stellar...great paint jobs, and they don't cut too much of your cuticle to the point where it bleeds! Well worth the lower cost of $40 total for BOTH a mani/pedi. Ladies (and man!) who work there are super nice. You have the option for shellac or regular nail polish. Quite expensive however-$30 for shellac for just a manicure, for those who are looking for a price range. I'm giving it a three star rating because about a week later the paint started to peel off in the shower which is kind of unfortunate since I paid $30 and it only lasted a week! Spot is easy to get to and in a very nice and safe spot in the center of Lexington. A devoted customer for many years - but today's visit was SO GOOD that I had to write a review. Kate gave me a gentle, exquisite eyebrow and lip waxing. Kathy did a meticulous gel manicure, carefully shaping, filing, trimming and then layering on fine coats of shellac. The truth is they really do a nice job, they have great color selections and the environment is quiet and peaceful. I love the black leg rest they have for pedicures so you don't have to hold up your leg while they scrub! If they don't use it, just ask for it! They used to give a quick massage as an added bonus, but I haven't received that in awhile now. I would say it's one of the best nail salons in Lexington. My only complaint is that they reuse the pedi flip flops after scrubbing them down each evening -- just wear your own and it's a non issue. I also think they may re use the pedi plastic tub liners too, I'm sure they wash them, but they're disposable -- they really shouldn't be re used. read more

I have been going here since the week it opened. These women are amazing at their job. They are also incredibly dedicated to quality. The business is family run, so I can understand why some people may be upset at not receiving "undivided attention", but I'd rather get a good manicure from a kind person in a clean shop than have someone sit with me the whole time. They even do designs! Often for free if they are simple enough. They do take Walk-In's but they are often very busy, so I would call ahead, especially if it is for something like gels or a mani-pedi. After being treated really crappy in the Indulgence Day Spa (go read what happened)....i walked over to this place which is almost right across the street. ....i was desperate to get mani pedi ....they took me in right away ..... my manicurist did an AWESOME job. ....i have natural and very small nails ...its very hard to do a good paint job on my nails. She did an excellent paint job. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! Beware, this salon is terrible. I used to go there for acrylic fills and they used to lift after one week-ridiculous! And when I told them what was happening, I was either laughed at or blamed ("it must be your soap/perfume" etc.) B***S***!! They staff is rude and not helpful. The skin was often cut around my nails after the fills, once leading to an infection. That was that last time I went there. I moved to the Lexington area about a year ago and have been going to Lexington Nails for pedicures (every few months) since I got here. For $30 (for a pedicure), it's a pretty good deal. One reviewer noted that they do designs -- I need to check that out. I've never had them even ask if I wanted a design. It's not a place where you'll feel super pampered, but it's very clean, and I've always had a good paint job coming out of there. Further, I've never had them cut my nails/cuticles down to the point of pain or bleeding (a definite plus). The only reason I took one star off is because I always feel like the ladies there weren't very friendly (don't get me wrong - they're not rude either). But, I'll definitely keep going back because I feel like you get a quality pedicure for a good price. read more

I had a terrible experience: I got a pedicure by somebody who was very rude, and didn't seem to be happy at all with her job. The staff only spoke Vietnamese and completely ignored me. Just OK. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. The technician kept trying to talk me into an upgraded ped with the massage and all that stuff and I told her nicely, No, I don't like that. So she did it anyway. I told her to stop it because she was so rough she actually caused pain and this was annoying. The nails aren't straight across and don't look that great. The gel manicure was OK. She cut one finger really short and then asked me it that was OK. Well, what could I say then? No I want that one longer???? But they look OK, not great, just OK. Then she charged me for the expensive pedicure I told her NOT to give me. Then I got home and saw she made several cuts into the polish on a big toe when she put my flip flops on for me. I would have rather done this myself and would have done a better job. I won't be going back to this place. It is nice and I appreciate that everyone was wearing a mask and was nice enough. But nothing special and I guess I should go back and have her fix the toe she ruined when she put my shoes on for me, I am just too annoyed that she charged me for the pedicure I didn't want that I don't want to drive over there.
