Returned back to Fancy Q sushi & Thai during my lunch break at work . Ordered the seaweed salad and avocado sushi both of which were tasty. I was provided with soy sauce however definitely not needed - it was delicious on its own. Will definitely return back as service was speedy! I wanna hear for lunch and the food was really good. The prices are reasonable and it was definitely a little hole in the wall that I didn't expect to walk into such elaborate decor. Husband and I decided to try a new spot. We ordered two rolls: the Naruto and Cloud 9. They were phenomenal. Fish and veggies were so fresh. For our entree, we ordered steak and shrimp hibachi dinners that came with ginger salad and miso soup of course! The ginger dressing was great and the salad fresh. The miso soup was just as good and kept me warm. The entrees were delicious especially with their house made yum yum sauce. I was amazed by their Fancy Q Chai Iced Tea. The beverage was delicious. I honestly love that I found this lowkey place!! Service was great and food was prepared HOT and fresh! The specialty sushi rolls were huge and super yummy...they had so many options to choose from. The hibachi that they had was prepared in the back and brought out but it was still really good, my favorite was their terriyaki chicken! The flavor was there and it was coooked perfectly. I have ordered from Fancy Q Sushi & Thai many times and it has always been one of my favorite sushi spots in Orlando. My husband and I order from here often and have spent a lot of money supporting this restaurant. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered my favorite sushi roll and it did not taste fresh at all. It tasted old, like it had been sitting out for a while. I called the restaurant to let them know because I wanted to give them the opportunity to fix the situation. I explained that the sushi was not fresh and asked if they could either remake the order or refund it. My husband did not want to drive back out that night, so I asked if they could simply note it on my account. The employee told me that in order to get a refund they would need the original sushi bag returned. I thought this was strange, especially considering how often we order from here. I did save the sushi and will be returning it for my refund, but the way the situation was handled felt very unprofessional and disappointing for a restaurant we have supported for so long. Wanted to try a new sushi place and this place had good reviews. It's a small restaurant but the inside is very cute. The staff here are so nice and attentive as well! She gave us an appetizer on the house! It was fried tempura Krab, it was yummy with the sauce. We ordered a bunch of sushi and to our surprise it came out on a boat! I've always wanted a sushi boat and it was plated so nicely. I noticed some other customers got sushi on a bridge. Such a cool way to display the sushi! Also, the sushi was amazing!! Very fresh tasting and generous portions of fish in the rolls. Our favorite was the Spicy Salmon Roll! They also don't chop up the fish here which I love. They also have a big bottle of white sauce on the table so you don't have to ask for it, thank you!! We ended our meal with the fried Oreos dessert. It came with whipped cream, they were really good! My neighbor brought me to this place. It is in a strip mall and I hadn't noticed it before. Like I said, it is in a strip mall so it has plenty of parking and is well labeled. I feel badly I had missed it before. The customer service is always top notch. I have eaten in and carried out and was pleased with both. The ambiance is cozy and not too bright, both of which I appreciate. I can't speak to the restrooms because I have never used them. But again they seem to be well marked. I do feel they need to do a little reupholstering on their seats, as some are worn., however overall good spot for lunch or dinner. They have lunch specials that don't take to long if you have an hour lunch break and in the area. They also have take out. Sushi is fresh as well as other food and a good variety. They start you with a complimentary mini cooked sushi. They have hibachi and sushi rolls in the dinner and lunch menu at a reasonable price. Since moving back to this side of town, I've been wanting to check out this place. I went around 5pm on a Friday night. It was very quiet, but around 6ish - that dinner rush was in full swing. I really enjoyed the overall vibe here. The service was attentive and friendly. Their menu is extensive with a lot of options that could cater to most people. I really would love to come back for a lunch special. Price point - the signature rolls are around $15. They do use quality ingredients, so there isn't a fuss about that from me. Location - it's in a very unassuming shopping plaza. You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. I ordered the tako appetizer, and it was SO tasty. Octopus texture can be quite tough, but this dish was perfect. Main course - I ordered the Rock N Roll and the Sweet Heart Roll. The former was great, but the texture was a bit off for me with the Sweet Heart Roll. The spicy tuna was a bit too mushy for my taste. Everything else was great! I'm sure I will be back again soon to explore more menu items. Definitely a hidden gem in Apopka. read more

We stopped here the other night for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. There is nothing negative about this place the service or the food. They were very friendly. The place was very clean. The food came out fast and it was amazingly delicious. We had crab Rangoon we had spring rolls. We had edamame. We had seaweed salad we had potstickers And they were all perfectly cooked and we ate every scrapple to plate. I had shrimp pad Thai and it was the best I've ever had. There was a ton of shrimp and I had enough to take home for two more lunch meals. My son-in-law had a sushi combo and he said it was really good and it was a lot. One of my granddaughter's, had the salmon sashimi and she loved it. My daughter had soup and several of the appetizers that I mentioned my granddaughter's each ordered second order of the crab Rangoon. They loved it so much. The food was plantable. The prices were very reasonable and we will definitely be back. We will probably rule out some of the other places we've been because this was so delicious. read more

My family orders from here frequently to go, but my 5 year old loves to go here for a mommy/daughter date. She loves all the colorful lights, and the staff is so friendly to her. The chicken hibachi that she gets is sooo good every time! We have tried so many of their sushi rolls and they are all very tasty and most importantly fresh. Alright...first impression from walking in. This place has a modern and trendy vibe. There are some neon lights and unique decor, accompanied by pop and indie music playing in the background. The menu offers some white and red wine choices, as well as sake, (hot or cold) and beer. Thai tea and Ramune (both non-refillable) are also offered, along with staple Coke products. There are appetizers from the kitchen as well as from the sushi bar. Various soups and salads are also offered. Moving on to one of the stars of the restaurant, the sushi. There is a large selection to choose from, both raw and cooked. They have a la carte options which bring two pieces of sushi/sashimi, as well as regular rolls and special rolls. They have a hibachi selection with many options to choose from, varying from chicken and steak to shrimp, scallops, and lobster. They also have a lunch menu and lunch bento box. There's tempura and udon as well as curry and Pad Thai. I ordered the chicken udon, (without scallions or onions) while my stepmom ordered the hibachi chicken and steak. My dad chose the chicken Pad Thai. Each meal brought a miso soup and salad. My dad liked the soup while my stepmom felt it needed a bit more flavor. They brought us an Eddie special on the house for us to try. The special (which had imitation crab in a fried roll) was quite tasty. It wasn't greasy and had good flavor. My stepmom enjoyed her hibachi. She said both the noodles and rice were tasty and the steak and chicken were well seasoned. She did note the chicken had a peppery taste, although it was not unpleasant. Dad, being dad asked for his Pad Thai spicy. This resulted in his pad Thai being covered in just a bit too much sauce. That didn't take away from the fact that he enjoyed it, but I'd suggest mentioning how much sauce you'd like. I had the chicken udon. I quite enjoyed it. The noodles were soft and had just a slight chew to them. Mixed with the sauce it was flavorful and had a good balance to the dish. The chicken was a bit peppery, but not enough to bother me. (Ask to taste it in advance if you're not sure you'll like it) Overall, it was a nice meal with my family, and I'd be happy to come again. If you're in the area, give this place a shot! read more

Have been going to Fancy Q for over a year since moving to Apopka. My Wife is the sushi lover but I have always thought sushi is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. When we do takeout I will get this for her & pickup a burger or sub for myself. Her meal normally consists of several pieces of sushi, several rolls, & an order of endamame beans. Almost $50 without a tip which is way too pricey for what it is to me but my Wife doesn't think so. Picked up a takeout order for her & when I asked for a duck & soy sauce (she likes to dip some of the pieces in both a sweet & sour sauce) the cashier told me that would be additional 80 cents which may not be a huge deal but its the principal of the thing. I just shelled out $50 for a few slivers of fish & rice & you're seriously going to charge me extra for a condiment?!? Are customers that dine-in given one of those eyecups of soy sauce per meal & charged extra if they ask for a little more???? One of my biggest pet peeve is when businesses nickel & dime their customers. Are you going to charge me more if I ask for a few more napkins or plasticware for my takeout order??? Didn't matter what you prefer is good and if you come back for another visit and get the same thing out will be just as good as the first time you tried it. I like the Hibachi Chicken here, tender cuts of grilled chicken in soy. This dish is served on a bed al of grilled vegetables (carrot, onion, zucchini and broccoli) with an equal mix unlike places where you get mostly onion here your fish is perfectly balanced. Also comes with one cup of rice and a side of yakisoba noodles, a side salad and bowl of miso soup $16.95. Also ordered Rock n Roll (shrimp tempura, Krab, cucumber and cream cheese $7.50.
