I've been coming to Hibachi Express for years, and it never disappoints! The takeout hibachi is always delicious, with large portions that make for a great meal (or 2!). The white sauce is amazing- it's one of my favorite parts of the meal! I love getting half fried rice & half noodles with the chicken hibachi! Prices range from $8 to $12 for the hibachi. There are a few tables inside but this place is best for to-go orders. The best part is that you can order online! If you're in the mood for takeout hibachi, this is the place to try! Highly recommend!

THIS IS THAT SPOT!!! The food is always delicious & fresh. Price is right & I would honestly eat this every single day if I could. The hibachi chicken meal is perfect! I get it with the noodles and it comes with chicken and veggies. The flavor is great and quick service. Love the onion soup too!

Affordable place if you want quick hibachi. We ordered 2 plates of steak and chicken, half fried rice and half noodle for $33. Comes with yum yum sauce. Order was done in 10-15 minutes. We had a couple of people come before us that ordered take-out. They have seats inside their restaurant and a vacant parking lot. Smells good when you walk-in. Food was hot. Portions are huge! I split the dish into two.

this is my first time ordering from there. I ordered chicken teriyaki lunch special and it was not great. It did not even taste like anything. No seasoning or cook on the chicken. The chicken was still relatively white. It tasted mid but if you want cheap meal, maybe go here.i also got the fried chicken was not great but was ok

I love the food so much, I've ordered here hundreds of times. The only issue, the price. If you order online for delivery, expect 30$ per person. I don't know why but that has been consistent for me. But when I went in person the price was less than half. I really recommended going in there, the service was fast for this type of cuisine and I'm definitely going again

I went here years ago and remember being impressed... this last time, not so much. It wasn't bad, but definitely not the fresh, grilled classic flavor I was looking for. The shrimp was plentiful and cooked fine, with a large portion of rice and a container of white sauce to go along with it. Decent, but not sure I'll be back.

This restaurant could have killed my husband. We specifically put on the receipt to not have our hibachi orders touch peanuts or seafood. The SECOND my husband took a bite his throat started swelling up. He took his medicine early enough that we did not have to go to the emergency room. I have a piece of steak to my 11 month old before my husband had began eating his and LUCKILY she did not have a reaction. We immediately called the restaurant and they basically pretended the manager was not there and then suddenlyyyy appeared and proceeded to tell us oh well call Uber. Whether it was peanut oils on the noodles or the fact they cook the shellfish and steak in the same place, THEY ARE AN AWFUL ESTABLISHMENT and do not have the care or brainpower to put effort into a customer not dying. The food is disgusting ( the couple bites we took.) RUN THE OTHER WAY.

Drown that shit in white sauce folks!

This place has got one of the best deals in town. As someone who has been to Kobe many times, I've got to say, Hibachi Express is pretty damn close. Their white sauce may actually be better, and you get a whole bottle w your food. They give a very generous portion of actual quality chicken breast. You'll want to go for the hibachi lunch special, you'll wait about 7 minutes for them to cook it up fresh. It's only about $8. Check this place out, skip the Panda Express down the road and try a place w fresh food that doesn't have to be deep fried to be goo

Very unsure of how this location only has 3 and a half stars.... if I could eat here everyday and not gain another butt cheek I would. The first time I tried this location was through postmates and it was amazing. I would suggest ordering extra white sauce when you do any delivery service or to go orders. Today, I decided to dine in, and glad I did too! Our order was taken promptly and the cashier was knowledgeable about the menu items. When you eat in store you get the white sauce at the table through a squirt bottle... which I'm always tempted to take home. I will definitely come back for a quick hibachi experience.

I used to be a huge fan of this place. The sushi is good for the price and they are pretty fast. They serve sushi and hibachi with your choice of meat with the Kobe style white sauce. They also have soups and salads, the menu has a lot of choices. The restaurant itself is clean and the service is OK. I wanted sushi and didn't want to drive too far so I placed my order over the phone using their online menu. They said my order would be ready in 15-20 mins which was perfect. I figured for roughly $13 for 2 different types of rolls was not bad. When I went to pick up the order I was charged about $17. The thing is the menu online does not have the current prices. The customer service person told me that they increased their prices and refused to honor the posted prices online. The sushi rolls were OK, not bad but I have had better. I got the Alaska roll which is salmon with eel sauce I believe and the Philadelphia roll. I was craving sushi that day and it did the job. I probably will not be returning there because not only was the sushi OK but I have an issue with paying more than what was posted online. For $17 I could have gone to better sushi spot and gotten at least 3 different types of rolls. My advice to anyone wanting to check out this place when calling make sure you ask for the current prices as they are not posted online.

It was made by the sushi chef in house and visible to watch him make it. It was wrapped perfectly and everything came out fast. The portions were generous. The price is perfect for the proportion size and also the fact that everything tasted so good. Some dishes come with a side salad and miso as well. Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!

Having been on a handful of occasions, each visit, I am left quite satisfied and happy with not only the service provided, but just the general quality of the food. The restaurant is very beautiful inside - which is a lovely surprise because the exterior is very unassuming. It is infused with cultural decor that leaves you feeling like you have been transported to Japan! So, kudos to the designers!! Now, prior to diving into the food and drinks, I just quickly want to note, there is ample seating indoors. Even with the exterior being so unassuming, it is a quite spacious restaurant. They have banquet seating as well as booth seating. But I digress. Time for the FOOD REVIEW!! Now, the food here, or rather, the sushi, is just DELISH!! I will admit, I haven't tried other dishes from their menu beyond their sushi. Speaking of, the MENU here is MASSIVE! If you don't want sushi, you can definitely order other entrees as they offer bento boxes, bowls, and various other dishes. The price points are great and they also have lunch specials. As for the sushi options I typically indulge in, I stick with the tempura shrimp options. Sometimes I do their speciality rolls and other times I will indulge in their staple rolls. Even though I don't eat a ton of raw sushi (still training my palette for it), I have enjoyed the few raw sushi rolls I have tried. The drinks are also super tasty! My first visit, many months ago, I got their Thai Tea. I also got a matcha!! Both were lovely!! They have a really good non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink menu. Again, the pricing is reasonable pending what you order. The desserts here are BEYOND GOOD! On my most recent visit, I tried their green tea tiramisu and it was really good. Not too sweet and not too earthy (even though I am not opposed to earthy). All in all, I always have a top notch experience here! The staff are great and attentive.
