I ordered food for takeout for myself and daughter as I was visiting family in Jacksonville. The food needs more flavor, the rice was not tasty and the chicken not cooked enough. My daughter added soy sauce and the spring rolls were a bit mushy. I ended up eating Costco spring rolls that night. The time we waited was efficient and I was addressed appropriately by staff and did not see full restaurant so hoping setting was nice and was clean at entry point. Top notch restaurant for both Asian fusion and traditional Japanese cuisine! Clean with friendly staff. Our waitress checked on us often and they did a great job in keeping our table cleared of finished dishes. We started with a fresh, crunchy side salad with ginger dressing. Then the Shrimp Tempura and Vegetable appetizer which was light and crispy and there were two of each vegetable and shrimp for easy sharing with your partner. We were also served a complimentary 1/2 fried crab roll which was dreamy. Our hand roll orders of Salmon, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and Yellowtail came out fast and were fresh and positively delicious! What a pleasant surprise. I have heard very good things about this restaurant so we had to try it. Very quaint and nothing elaborate except the presentation of the sushi/sashimi platter we ordered. The only disappointment was the steamed gyoza. It was very bland and had no flavor nor did they have the correct condiments for the proper dipping sauce to accompany it. The sushi/sashimi platter ordered had great presentation you would see in a nice restaurant in Japan. The fish all tasted fresh were well presented. Some friends told us about Fancy Sushi Asian Fusion and said we have to go there and try it. We went there for lunch today for the first time after our granddaughters baseball game. * We got the lunch portion of the Hibachi Shrimp and the Sushi lunch portion with California Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. * They even give a free sushi roll for appetizer. What WE do when we go to eat sushi and places we get the lunch portion and share it between us. It's way more food to eat for one person so we split it up. Most of the time we just get a Hibachi combo and one sushi roll to share. Today everything was really good and delicious. The sushi rolls here at Fancy Sushi were way better here than other places we've eaten at. The service was fast and friendly! The restaurant was very clean and well decorated! This was our first time here. Restaurant was clean with a nice setting. We were seated fast but it took a little longer than expected to order, but they were busy. Otherwise service was perfect. They brought out an appetizer sample for us which was unexpected but it was really good. I can't remember what it was called but it was a deep fried crab stick. I ordered the OMG roll. For an appetizer we got an order of fried Gyoza, which were excellent! I ordered Sushi Regular and a Thai Ice Milk Tea. My wife ordered a California roll and a Jaguar roll (when in Jacksonville, just saying) and a pineapple Tea. Our waitress got my soup and salad choice with my order, but never delivered either. Our food came out so quick that I didn't even think about it until I was finished with my food and got the bill. Ended up just getting it to go. The California roll was the smallest diameter that I've ever seen, but they were really good. The rest of our food and drinks were good. I ate the "takeout order" portion at home. The Miso soup was really good, but the salad with ginger not so much. They did the sushi right, so I'll go back and try a few other items. read more

I love the color scheme and layout of the restaurant. I felt Uber comfortable and relaxed. They have 3 large televisions positioned on the walls around the restaurant. I totally got into a Fantasy ScIFi movie that was playing. Lol! I was tempted to stay and finish the movie! That's how chill it was. Mama stuck with the Holiday Rolls for dinner, but I changed it up a little and ordered the Shrimp Udon. It's the best sushi place and the best sushi I've ever had. The dynamite roll is my go to and my absolute favorite! Extra shrimp sauce please! I've also had their hibachi and fried calamari in the past and it was really good. The place is very nice inside. The workers are always nice. And it's only 5 minutes away! It's also next to the Epic Movie Theater, so you can catch a movie and grab some sushi! I will definitely be back as it is my favorite sushi place! read more

We started our lunch with a great portion of seaweed salad and a free holiday roll. This visit we just did sushi: Phoenix roll, dynamite, and philadelphia. This was arguably one of my favorite dynamite rolls in Jax. Only complaint is the boba tea; the boba tasted old and soaking for too long. Fancy sushi is definitely taking over as a go-to sushi spot. It's ornate interior and decent quality puts it above most typical Asian fusions. My next visit I will have to try their kitchen items as well as the Thai items on the menu. read more
