Always fresh and light. The portions are very generous. My food is always ready in a very timely manner.Their prices are very good. I mostly order take out but they treat me as if I am dining in. The staff are super friendly, they know what I typically order and my little special requests. The kitchen staff packs take out items with care and use common sense, my sushi is always separated from any hot items. This is my new favorite spot! My kids absolutely loved dining in one of the Tommy rooms where the table is sunken into the ground. Gave the whole experience a cool vibe. My go to sushi spot at the beach. Good lunch specials and great happy hour. Sushi is always fresh and service is great. This restaurant has tons of seating and is great for large groups. Although everything I've had here is delicious, the eel and avocado roll is the best I've had and the clear soup is shockingly good and different from any other clear soup I've had at a sushi place. It's rich and has depth to it far beyond your typical clear soup. Check this place out, especially during happy hour. Came here for dinner. It was very chic. We sat in a booth. We both had clear soup. My significant other had the honey shrimp with broccoli and a side of Fred rice. The kids shared a shrimp bento box. I had strawberry lemonade. My meal was yellowtail sashimi, a California hand roll and a black dragon roll that had eel and shrimp as well as avocado. It was all really good. My significant other had a roll with krab cucumber and topped with Jalapeno called the snow mountain roll. The food came relatively quickly. Everything tasted amazing. It wasn't busy at all. This was the last time we would be visiting. $28 for overcooked few pieces of steak and scallops that was sliced in half and then into another to make it look like there's more than one actual size scallop. 3 (mediocre) rolls, bottle of sake(which was amazing), hibachi (comical. Initially my husband asked if he could have lo mein and server said "oh no it's just like noodles but not that good" ok cool well fried rice was probably the worst one I have ever tasted it ) and app (kamiya salad. Amazing no complain there) asked for manager and was told "manager is gone" $120. The food was way over priced, especially for the portions you were given. $27 for salmon hibachi and it was a spoonful of food. We basically had the place to ourselves, which was wonderful except the bathroom light was off and impossible to find. Imagine you're at a restaurant for the first time and go to the restroom only to find the lights are off, there is no visible light switch, and you just can't hold it anymore! My friend went to the restroom 3 different times after asking the hostess if she could help turn the lights on and by the third time, she just brought her phone flashlight to wizz in the dark (which sounds like a terrible Wizard of Oz Halloween Special). I would rate the food as a 3 and the service and ambience as a 5 therefore this place gets an average score of 4. And average it is. The service was great as our waiter was on top of it filling our drinks, bringing us extra sauce and not taking too long. For food we ordered the crab ragoons as all appetizers were 30% off the day we went. The crab ragoons were crispy and full of flavor but better without the red sauce provided. We also ordered a rainbow roll. Overall Id say it was quite bland and the rice was a bit stiff. It required huge dunks in the shrimp sauce for some flavor. Lastly I ordered the red curry and my mother ordered the other spicy curry. We both grew up eating Thai food so we are excited for some nice flavor. The portion sizes were huge and the dish was full of fresh vegetables but overall there is no spice to the dish. On a scale of 0-5 I would rate the spice as a 1 even on the dish labeled "spicy". I have been a few times and the food has always been good. However- I went in last night and had a completely different experience. The prices listed in the menu are not the prices I was charged. There were $4-5 discrepancies with every dish. When I asked about this the waiter proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong. When I SHOWED him the menu pricing he simply walked away angry. He then came back with another lady who quite literally ripped the menu out of my hand and pointed to a teeny-tiny disclaimer printed on the bottom saying their prices are subject to change at any time with no notification. I cannot fathom treating patrons this way- even if it is a policy- we deserve respect and fair treatment. Explaining things rational will get better reviews. As for now I plan to never return. I don't mind paying more if there's a good reason- but I deserve the decency and respect to be spoken to like a human being. Do better. read more

The only thing keeping my rating at a 3 is the number of sushi restaurants in the area. The pros: Ambiance is lovely, with cute side rooms to make a larger place feel cozy. The service was perfectly lovely (the waitress even pointed out which roll was which) I had 2 rolls and 2 pieces - all yummy and fresh. The cons: no lunch special (at least when I went on a Saturday). Even when ordering multiple sushi pieces, no soup or salad included. Nice bar and nice looking sushi bar. The place is clean. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive to their customers. It's, um, fine. For example, I went there last night. Sat at the bar. Had some cold sake, a spicy tuna roll and some red curry with chicken. The sake was cold and tasty (but $14 for a bottle that is probably about $8 in the supermarket). The spicy tuna roll was typical of what you get now when you order any type of spicy roll from basically any sushi restaurant in America. Heavy on the crunch. Stuff that I think they get from tempura that, for some unknown reason, owners of Japanese restaurants think they need to stuff into about half of their rolls. Oh, and the bartender asked if I wanted shrimp sauce. Ick. Look I know why they ask if you want it. Because people constantly ask for that nasty mayonnaise-y crap. For gods sake, put down the freakin' shrimp sauce and actually taste the food people!! But I digress. The curry was tasty and hot. Filled with vegetables and chicken. Rice was fluffy and, um, rice-y. Look, it was all pretty good. You're not going to to see a lot of unique or different dishes here. Again, the sushi is what you will find at pretty much any sushi restaurant in the area. Looking for tuna and salmon and yellowtail and rolls with lots of crunch and shrimp sauce? Yep, this is the place for you. Looking for different types of fish or unique preparations of dishes? Yeah, keep looking. Again, I thought that it was a good meal. But did I love it? Sorry. Was it one of the best Japanese food restaurants I've ever been to? Nope. Not even close. Is it edible? Yep.
