Great bakery. Recently bought a strawberry tres leches cake for my sister's birthday and it was delicious, and I usually dislike this kind. It wasn't sopping wet sponge cake, which I especially dislike, like some places make it. It had great flavor, good distribution of the berries and filling. I would definitely buy it again. I don't know what all the great reviews are about. I had them make a cake and I bought a premade cookie that looks like a happy face emoji. The cake was vanilla cake with raspberry filling and a chocolate fudge ganache type frosting with that cool drip look around the edges. I told them I wanted it to look just like the cake in the display case, but an 8" cake with vanilla/raspberry inside. The cake I got was only one layer tall. Not two layers like the display. I didn't complain, as it was probably fine for the occasion and I was in a pinch. But it actually tasted super average. Nothing special or noteworthy. And the cookie was, as I like to say, not with the calories. Just basic and the crispy royal icing was tasteless. Bummer. The employees who took our order and who gave us the cake were perfectly nice and professional. read more

There were only two choices at the bakery that day - tres leches and (I think it was called) strawberry delight. I got the strawberry and it was delicious! Light, spongy cake, with whip cream, strawberries, tres leches filling & a hard chocolate shell on top. I will definitely return to Fantasy Bakery for that cake, and probably the red velvet cake that somebody else mentioned. read more

I came in looking to order a cake for my husband's birthday party. All I knew at the time was that it has to be white or vanilla but no real design idea in mind. The owner and her son very helpfully made suggestions, giving me price points along the way. I've also have them make a custom jello for me and some cookies (which they also gave many helpful suggestions and ideas). Everything turned out looking great and delicious! The cake was light, fluffy, not too sweet, and creamy from the whip cream frosting. Everyone at the party really enjoyed the cake and jello (we forgot to put out the cookies but they were eaten at work the next day and everyone loves it too) This family bakery really takes pride in their creation and it shows. I tried mocha gelatin, choco-flan( I think) and a traditional flan. The Choco-flan was quite impressive as it has a clean taste but not overly sweet. Overall it was a cute bakery with amazing baked goods and great customer service. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back! read more

I was quite delighted to order my daughter's birthday cake for her 1st birthday after reading the reviews on here. We even drove 50 minutes from where we live to the shop one afternoon to order this cake as it was going to be somewhat detailed. What we ordered was a 2 layer Minnie Mouse cake with her face on top along with other details such as flavorings/colors/decorations. The owner I spoke with was very pleasant and explained everything they could and can't do; even let us sample some cake. After placing the order for this $150 cake I felt like we came to the right place but I would soon be mistaken. About a month goes by and I received a missed call an hour before I was to pick the cake up. When I called back they said the top layer (red velvet) cake wouldn't be ready in time but now they think it should be ready by pick-up time. This was complete BS to be making her cake at the last minute like this but there was nothing we could do about it except hope for the best. We arrived at exactly noon and as I walk in the door I told them I was here to pick up the Minnie Mouse cake. The younger man (not the owner) behind the counter has a smile on his face when saying "well it just got ruined but we are going to fix it right now." Another indication as to why you don't do cakes at the last minute in case you happen to f*ck the cake up. Now that I'm in full panic mode, he goes on to say that they were putting the head on top of the cake and when they moved it, it fell so they have to re-frost everything. I was livid! Not only did nobody apologize but then I ended up waiting 30 minutes for them to fix it, when it should've been done. It gets better... as they were boxing the cake they told me I had to place the head on myself. Which irked me even more because I'm basically being told that I'm the one to be responsible if it gets messed up again and therefore they won't be at fault this time. So now I'm wasting more time on this whole cake ordeal when I had my daughter's party to set up for in less than an hour. He explained that if there's any movement when the heads on then it'll fall again. Which I completely get but what I don't get is why didn't they attach a connection piece from inside the bottom of the head into the cake to keep it in place. Instead they rather make 4 huge holes on the top layer cake with plastic tube inserts to keep the head from falling in the cake but nothing to keep the head posted on top. Makes no sense! This was a horrible experience at the worst possible time! The frosting was rushed; you could tell they did a sloppy job and everyone at the shop acted like this was a normal thing to happen. NO apologies and no offer to give me some kind of reimbursement. WORST customer service and will not be buying any cakes from them in the future. read more

Wow! Just stopped by here on a whim to get something sweet for my birthday, and had the fantasy cake recommended to me. The strawberries taste perfectly fresh and ripe, and the texture and flavor of the cake itself were great. Not overbearingly sweet and insubstantial like commercial cakes- it tastes like REAL CAKE. Great price with great service. Safari themed cake was perfect. Took recommendations from the baker on the flavors, ran with it and was not disappointed. Service was quick and exactly as we talked about. She even added cupcakes which gave it a better look when it was displayed. Would gladly use her services again and recommend this place to anyone. She did the cake with a whipped cream finish by the way. I know the fondant icing can look a lot cleaner, but you are sacrificing the taste in my opinion. With this cake she did so well that the whipped cream looked like fondant icing was used, which in hindsight didn't lose its look or taste. read more

I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful bakery so close to us. I stopped in to see if they could do a last minute cake for a friends birthday and everyone in there was so nice and welcoming. With their help we decided on an 8" Wonder Woman cake. When I came to pick it up I was blown away. It was the most beautiful cake! If you're looking for an amazing bakery full of talented people look no further. I am only a little sad I didn't get a picture before we devoured it. We are extremely happy with the work Katy and her son did on our cake. I know this was a challenge for them but they surpassed our expectations. The design was amazing. I know there are bakeries that do great designs but the flavor is not that great, BUT that's not the case here. Katy and her sons really have a special touch when it comes to baking, the flavor the texture and freshness of their cakes even make a cake lover out of the most picky cake eaters. They are truly awesome and have great customer service they dedicate time to each and everyone of their customers and listen to what they want in their deserts. I love small businesses and especially bakeries but I was so very disappointed when my friend and I took my daughter in for a cupcake. It was after 1pm so I didn't expect much to choose from but when we walked in the woman behind the counter was talking with someone who I had first thought was another customer but ended up being an acquaintance of her's so she didn't acknowledge us at all, there was only 3 cupcakes and a few churros. We decided get a cupcake and 2 churros. My daughter also got a ball. The woman grabbed out food and rang us up. When we got home the churros were stale and hard and my daughters cupcake was also that "old bread" taste that Safeway cupcakes get like after a few days. I was really disappointed that the all around customer service from this bakery was so poor. I would like to see more places like this succeed but you have to put the effort in to please customers. I would hope as a bakery you wouldn't sell that type of food to your customers. I will most likely never go back unless it's just to see if it was a one time experience I got this first time. read more

This is the worst place you can go to! Do not recommend! 0/10 I will never ever come near this place! I had the worst experience 2 times now. First year they messed up or gelatina and flan. Th way we're sour and disgusting. Like their a bakery do y'all not know how to make this stuff?! That happened I let it slide I called them to tell them but I never insisted for my money back! Second year which is this past weekend my sons 2nd birthday party I was like let's give them another chance so I ordered a full pan cake which is the biggest size they have.. I ordered it to be 3 leches! And the lady asked me to send her the picture of decorations I wanted on the cake so I did and the cake picture I had sent her was full like you couldn't even see the color in the background and when they say comes of the party I told people it was 3 leches and out of no where People start coming up to me saying this cake is bad it's dry and it taste like white cake this ain't 3 leche! I was furious and so embarrassed! And apart from that the cake decorations were not on the cake it was so simple just the little pictures and that's it! Do not recommend please do not come here!
