COZY VENUE w/ NICE VIEWS! Overall, I had a good experience here, my family and I came to see a regional Mexican band called Intocable and it was a pretty tame experience. Security was on top of everyone and we felt safe! I was astonished that very few bad apples came in. The seats are comfy and provide a good cushion for your rump. However, be aware that some of the seats are broken. My dad got a broken seat and had an uncomfortable experience for the first half of the concert. Thankfully, he approached a gentleman about the issue and maintenance came to fix it immediately! The guy who came was friendly and efficient. I was also disappointed that the concessions were NOT open. Only the bar was open and that was kind of sucky as I didn't have an option for snacks or non-alcoholic beverages. The bar was pretty calm, staff were vigilant, polite and serious. I'd return to this venue, the outside is really modern and it's super close to several entrances to the Fantasy Springs casino/resort. We also found that there was plenty of parking but poor signage.

Concerts, most people love live music but the venue, and where you sit (preferably) or stand makes all the difference in levels of engagement and enjoyment. Speaking of which, WTF happened to people after the last 1.5 years? Two concerts back and it's like that old David Chappelle skit where white people go haywire to the sound of electronic guitars. I swear, latent alcoholism or a weird switch got thrown because it's definitely a different vibe at shows now. My second concert here, the first took place 4-5 years ago when Heart played a long set with no opening act. Unless it's a band that has talent who really misses opening acts? Plus, they fuck up your hearing sometimes before the headliner. For that show we sat in a wing bleacher section that had good line of sight to the stage and was at a good spot where the PA system sounded balanced. A great show by a legendary band and my hearing wasn't totally out of whack afterwards. Years went by and we ordered tickets to see Jason Bonham, son of the late pantheon-level John Bonham from Led Zeppelin. Jason puts on a great show of Led Zeppelin tunes and easily embarrasses the other cover bands such as Led Zep Again and the like. Basically, it's not pedestrian, and then came Covid-19. Delays and rescheduled a few times, better safe than sorry, the day finally came. We parked in the crowded structure and headed down to the Will Call window to get actual tickets. That was a long walk but it is what it is. Bathrooms, predictably crowded, although the crowd was almost an even mix of genders, and then finding the seats on the floor, center section, towards the back. Typically this should be a good sounding area but it really wasn't as I'll explain. The show began and it was awesome, sometimes. I'm a musician and have performed lots over the years and technical difficulties happen, almost guaranteed. If you're professional you don't flip out, or throw a tantrum, and sometimes the crowd doesn't even realize something occurred. From early on something didn't 'sound' right. Sure, the guitar was out of tune on one cover and the singer walked over and tuned it while the other guy played, pretty cool, right? Towards mid-show the balance was really off. The singer was in the background, keyboards, when relevant, were overly dominant, and the guitar weaved in and out of sounding awful to awesome. Again, not the musicians' fault. It was the PA itself. Typically there are two or more banks of speakers, usually suspended, and that theoretically covers the entire field of sound within a venue. You'll definitely get a standing wave if you're seated against corners or walls, but it'll reach you. Unfortunately, there needs to be a center bank of speakers to balance hard left and right channels, like a home system. I'd say most of what I didn't enjoy during the 2.5 hour set was the imbalance. I could tell the sound guys were trying but it's a flaw in the venue design, fixable, but compared to sitting on the shoulders in bleachers to the floor I'd sit in the bleachers next time, it might be further away, but it should sound better. People gone wild. Yeah, some funky 'dancing' and likely under-the-influence trance movements occurred all around us. That was a show within the show. Hopefully the venue will get more PA speakers in the future and people get reaccustomed to being in crowded public spaces again. Nevertheless, ROCK ON!!!

I've been coming to Fantasy Springs Casino for 7 years. I am not a frequent gambler, but primarily come for the entertainment. There is an outdoor area with a stage and seating and two cocktail bars when a show is scheduled in their ROCKYARD. These are tribute bands that put on a quality show that is FREE of charge. There is a bowling alley, restaurant, fast food court, hotel, outdoor pool (for hotel guests) and conference center with an indoor arena. I love the indoor Arena concerts, they book first-rate musicians, such as John Legend, Doobie Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Boz Scaggs, Los Lonely Boys, Rob Thomas, Bryan Adams, Steve Martin, Paul Anka, etc. They staff an abundance of ushers to show EACH guest to their seat. Every seat is good because there is stadium seating on three sides for a good view. There are three cocktail bars, so the lines are minimal. Last but not least, the bathrooms are CLEAN!!

There's a ramp, but No (NONE, ZILCH, ZERO) Handicap Parking at the Event Center. 7 or 8 Handicap Parking spots at the Bowling Center, but those were full and a good distance from the Event Center. The Event Center has Handicap Seating, but NO Parking???

    3rd row seats!

Shout out and a huge thank you to Lisa and Leslie at the events center box office for "Cheap Trick" last night. Yall don't know how special you made my night. It was an awesome show and I will be back again soon!

I've been to Coachella 3 times before and this year I went both weekends. I was here in the early 2000's before it became what it is now and I can tell you it's massive now. Before this year, the last time I was here was in 2013 and the stages were nowhere near as big and high tech as they are now. Favorite set this year was Nine Inch Noize at Sahara, Ceremony inside the Sonora tent, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. It's the best music festival in the world and worth the hefty price tag. Concert tickets are just about $100 plus dollars, so you're able to see so many artists for less than a standard L.A. venue ticket. HIghly recommend doing it once in your lifetime, but it is exhausting. Don't go back to work for a week after you attend all three days and book a spa day or a massage, the Monday after.

Don't get me wrong though, Justin Beiber was fun and he played our favorite song, "Beauty and a Beat." We got tier 2 tickets since tier 1 was sold out quick. Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!

The Palms Springs Power is a stacked team of Collegiates from all over the United States...so you're going to see a really good team -- undefeated 4 weeks into the season and they're 16-0 I'm a former player (and Pitcher) and follow all baseball very closely so I know a good team when I see one. I've already been twice and considering buying Season Seats ($100 = 28 games) Otherwise, General Admission is $10 for Adults and $5 for kids. Last game I scored on the "Power Pass" for $16 = one ticket, a hot dog, a non-alcoholic beverage and bag of chips. I intend to attend more games because they pack lots of fun inside this little stadium that kinda reminds me of a High School Baseball Field but with a Minor League feel & vibe and an exciting team & Field of Dreamers. My 1st game was FREE for a special promotion and went with wifey...but I had so much fun, I came back the following week solo. I don't really eat hot dogs these days (tho I love them) and enjoyed theirs so much after game one, I had another one at game two :) I was told by the nice guy at the ticket counter that the Chicken Caesar's Salad (only $7) is really good too...so instead of a 3 dog night, I'm already planning on that salad next time. Wednesdays are $4 Margarita Night and I heard they're flavorful and strong...but since I was driving it was strictly h2o. This is an Independent Summer League...and this is the Desert so be prepared to get a little heated because 1st pitch is at 7pm and usually still 100 degrees. But there's misters throughout the stadium that does its thing...and the weather cools down halfway into the game. I promise. They play nearly every Tuesday & Wednesday and Friday & Saturday nights during late May thru July 19th (then playoffs??) Lots of volunteers on hand throughout the stadium...and it's so cute & helpful to see all the children walking around the grandstand the last 2 innings collecting trash from all the fans. Lots of great fun & music, free giveaways and a raffle too while enjoying the game. And if the Power scores at least 9 runs, everyone in attendance gets 2 free tacos -- courtesy of Jack in the Box -- if that's your thing. And so far, the Power have been putting up at least 9 nearly every game :) Plenty of free parking in the lot surrounding the stadium...and street parking too on Barista. When I was was there in May, some of the seasonal produce included heirloom tomatoes, squash blossoms, butter lettuce and artichokes.
