Super disappointed. First night staying at the hotel, and decided to have dinner and see the show. My server (who was also the bartender) was absolutely wonderful! I'm sorry to say that the food was an expensive disappointment. I had the Orange chicken and spring rolls. And I had not had carbs in several months so was supper excited. Unfortunately the spring rolls were ice cold on the inside, and the Orange chicken was just not very good. Frankly it all tasted like it was straight out of the frozen food section. And for $38 for the orange chicken I really wouldn't recommend. I wanted to give the food another shot during my stay, but turned out the kitchen wasn't open on weekdays. The entertainment for the evening was a gentleman singing karaoke. He did have a terrific jazz voice. It's a super cute space and has a lot of potential. read more

Went here while staying at the resort and getting free tickets to the show. We decided to eat dinner while here, but we were kind of disappointed with the menu. It seemed all over the place AND very expensive for what you get. I started with a blackberry martini which the waiter proceeded to try to put on the table in a fancy way and ended up spilling half of it. It wasn't very good anyway. We didn't get bread to start, but noticed other tables getting it. My mom got the italian pizza for $16, so I expected it to be a big one. Instead, it was a personal sized one, which was really crumby and had no flavor. I got the prosciutto tortellini. The tortellini had good cheese, but the prosciutto made it very salty, and the chunks seemed kind of off. My dad got the lasagna and he was pretty happy with it. The show itself was pretty fun but had a weird vibe at the same time. Don't think we'll be back. read more

This is a medium size lounge located inside the Indian Wells Resort Hotel. It has ample seating in high chairs, low chairs and some overstuffed couches. It is a very intimate setting where you can see the singers and actually converse with them between songs and sets. The singers have a variety of songs to please every one. We didn't eat here but I understand the food is quite good. We had went out for dinner and stopped in for some drinks and listened to the entertainment before retiring for the night. The lounge is nicely decorated and has some nice theme lighting. The service was good and they came over just after we sit down. I like that! read more

The hotel had many dirty pillows and towels. We stepped on toenails in the carpet. Breakfast bar- A man open-sneezed on the utensils and food near the toaster, including an entire open drawer of bagels. I advised the servers who were not actively serving and just standing around to please replace the utensils and wipe down the knobs of the area including the food drawers. They stared at me and whispered to each other. No action taken. I then observed over 20 people use the same utensils and devices that were unclean, after time had passed and no one had been aware of what happened. I'm disgusted, but I guess it makes sense given the dirty room and linens. read more

This has been our 9-10th time coming to enjoy Frank DiSalvo's tribute show to the Rat Pack and the Great American Song Book music. His live show is wonderful and very entertaining. It's a one-man show, but he does an outstanding job singing and playing his guitar. Side Note: if you don't stay at the Indian Wells Resort, there is a $19 per person entertainment fee along with the cost of dinner and reservations are recommended. The food is very scrumptious, but on the pricey side. It is definitely worth it though. They charge to split dinners, just fyi. All the servers are on top of serving the guests and very accommodating. The show is in the foyer of the hotel and next to the bar which tends to be noisy so try and ask for the middle or front row. Be prepared to be entertained from 6 sharp to 9:00 pm with one longer break and one very short one. He is very warm and greets his guests during his break. Five of us had dinner last night at Frank's Place at the Indian Wells Resort Hotel and had a truly memorable evening. Frank DiSalvo entertains on Friday and Saturday nights, and his one man show covered a 2-1/2 hour period that would have exhausted a 20 year-old! Frank is a wonderful singer, covering the crooner songs of the 40's and 50's, as well as the soft rock and country & western tunes we remember from the 60's. His interpretations of Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Dean Martin, Jack Jones, Steve Lawrence, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Chuck Berry and more were spot on and very enjoyable. The big surprise was Frank's expertise with various instruments, especially his very professional guitar playing. He accompanied himself on several songs, using the ukulele, guitar, keyboards and harmonica. Frank is a diverse performer whose show complimented the delicious Italian cuisine. All in all, an evening we will recall for years....and a show we will remember to see again in the future. Frank DiSalvo was Amazing!!!! My sweetheart is a huge Frank Sinatra fan and a musician. He really wanted to see a show during our recent vacation to the desert. This evening and performance was so lovely. We had a beautiful table for two. We don't look like the "traditional" dinner supper couple but we weren't made to feel out of place at all. We didn't eat but we did have a few drinks. With two cocktails, coffee and one soda plus the admittance, we paid 88$. Not bad! The entertainment was fabulous!!!!!!!! I cried during My Way. Dreary and dissapointing bar. I know that this resort is old but the rest of the resort is renovated so I expecte something better. The bartender was really nice (also the room service guy). But the free appitizers they had out were disgusting - the chips were stale and hard a rocks. On the positive note my wife tried an Old Fashioned for the first time and really liked it! read more

It seems the place on his location was once a resort owned/operated/designed? by Desi Arnaz, or so I surmised from the architect's drawing and actual photos in the mens' room... none of which look anything like the hotel housing the place. The best thing was the entertainment. I forget his name, but he had a great voice and was walking around and interacting with the guests all night. The food was good, but a little pricey (not a negative, just an observation). We went on a Saturday night, so it was busy, but after taking our order the waiter never checked back on me and my girlfriend. I finished my beer right after the entree arrived, but our waiter never came back to ask if I wanted another or a different drink. Celebrated my husband"s birthday at Frank's Place last night with friends and the four of us had a blast! Frank DeSalvo is a natural performer and it's obvious that he loves to entertain. We had appetizers and drinks while enjoying the music and lively crowd that sang along when Frank invited us to join him. So much fun! The show, food and drinks together was not cheap ... but it was a special occasion and we were not disappointed at all. The memory of a great night out celebrating my hubby with our dearest friends ... is priceless. Because we made a last minute reservation (the day before) we were seated in the lobby right near the lounge. This is a super cool old-school hotel and restaurant/bar. The number famous people who used to frequent this location in the 50s 60s and 70s is amazing. The hotel restaurant features a nightly show of old-school songs from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, and many more. The ambience in this hotel is excellent. There's an atmosphere of the rat pack and an old cocktail lounge that's just off the main lobby. Table tops are candle lit with fine linens. The large and prominent bar sets the mood for fun cocktails and excellent music. The food is excellent! Give them your business! I stayed here on an overnight business trip. This is definitely the kind of place I would love to bring my family back to you for a vacation in Palm Springs. read more

One of us ordered a dinner salad at a $9 surcharge, that was iceberg lettuce, a slice of cucumber, and a half a cherry tomato. Seriously? Entrees would have easily been appetizers at most restaurants. Now, service was mediocre at best. Unattentive best described it. Go for the show. Forget the food. Frank's Place was a very nice intimate setting to hear many popular American Book Standards. Frank DiSalvo was amazing. His voice is superb with a great range, and perfect pitch! He naturally brings out the best of Frank, Dino, Mathis, and Como yet doing so in his own style. The show was wonderful. The show is $17.00 not including dinner. We made reservations at 5:30pm for dinner and the show. When we arrived, the place was already fully packed and we were seated quite far in the back...okay...so much for reservations. (Show began at 6:00 pm). We then waited a good 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged by wait staff. We were given water by a buss person. Even later, we were then greeted by our server Paul. NO apology for the wait, and he didn't even give us menus. We were asked what we would like to drink instead. We ordered a bottle of wine. It came promptly. After waiting for what seemed a really unusual amount of time, our server Paul arrived with menus. We waited again for him to return to take our order. We each ordered a salad and an entree. After at least 30 minutes, some bread arrived and then our salads. Two hours past before we were served our entrees. TWO HOURS. It was now 8:00p.m. The Veal piccata was chewy and tough the pasta was tart. The scallops and spinach left much to be desired as well; it was so full of lemon and the spinach was bitter. What a disappointment. Our server Paul didn't even come by to see how we liked our dinner for quite sometime. It was obvious to him as most of it was still on the place. This, along with the horrible 2 hour wait unacceptable. When we questioned our server Paul as to why dinner was so late he replied, "We have a full house tonight". So? Don't you plan for that? We were here at 5:30? Needless to say, we will NEVER ear at Frank's Place again. Service was horrible, meal was worse!! Paul did remove the dinners from our tab, as he should have, but none the less, we will not eat there again. Frank DiSalvo was amazing and well worth seeing. His knowledge of musical history along with his personal life stories made for a very enjoyable evening, even with the slight disrespect of a couple "guests" that tried overshadowing his performance. This review is for the restaurant only. We attended a show which was good but the dining portion of the evening was terrible. First off we were actually seated at a table placed on the tile floor in the lobby area looking into the open air restaurant and stage. The food and beverage prices were astronomical! They charged $17 for a glass of wine which sells for $11 for an entire bottle at the store. The angel hair pasta with chicken was good, however I have NEVER paid $34 for an angel hair pasta dinner especially with no seafood it in. That dish must have cost the restaurant a total of $5 to make. Plus there was an additional charge for the entertainment which was $25. So the evening was very expensive in a musty hotel dating back to the 80's. Because of the open lobby concept the hotel guests were standing next to us in their shorts and bathing suits watching for free. I definitely would recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

Thought this would of been s fun evening ...but we came in Friday night had a reservation. Sat next to the stage. We were greeted by the server and ordered cocktails. As soon as we ordered Frank D came on As he said he does music from the rat pack era He sounded pretty good but for some reason he really didn't sing into the mic so his voice would fade in and out. But all in all he was good Until the end when he started discussing Vets and how great America was which is ok but since this past election We know how great America is already and his tone and demeanor had a Disturbing way about it. It really turned off our table and several tables around us. Food wise we were highly disappointed in the quality and the service was horrendous,Food appetizers combo was ok a little lack luster in flavor. Salad , Caesar was ok but blah. Entree The $49 strip ala frank was this thin piece of meat that was sliced Had no flavor and very tough. Having worked in restaurants before when a so called new your strip is sliced be leary . Server was non existent Waited forever to order dinner and to clear table and to get the check strike 3 on that . What a great place. I went here for a dinner and show. Great food (BBQ chicken salad was delicious) and fabulous entertainment. It's a rare gem, because you can't go to a place in the SF Bay Area ( that I know of) that has a live big band (Ted Herman Big Band) and Frank Sinatra music sung by Frank DiSalvo, and he was terrrrriifffiicccc! And there were a few male dance instructors to dance with you. Dancing the waltz, cha cha, sway, etc..... I got my exercise for the evening. The singers use backing tracks, pretty much the norm in small venues nowadays, which we like because they sound like the original recordings. I have lived here since 1978 and this was the first time at Frank's place. Wow! We are still talking about the great time we had there. The food was super good. I had the salmon linguini. Amazing. Over ate because it was sooo good. The service was top notch. We had Nona and she was very attentive. Frank was good, we sang along with him. I will go back and take guests when they visit. Well back for the 3rd time to dine and see the Broadway show. Very disappointed. Had the salmon linguini again, portion was smaller, salmon was dry. There is a 25$ cover charge too. The show was really boring. Broadway songs sung by very talented singers, but the choice of songs was weak. The audience had only hear about 30% of the songs. Seemed like the song choice was for the singer's entertainment not the audience. Would not recommend the Broadway show. read more
