I came to Fantazia Salon for microblading as a result of purchasing a Groupon. I was nervous because I had never gotten it done before, and it is such a visible procedure to have done. Julia did such a careful and fantastic job on my eyebrows. She took as much time as was needed to make sure they were as symmetrical as possible and that they had the perfect shape. The process was easy and virtually painless, and the healing time was easily manageable. I am now five days after my touch up appointment, and I am so happy with the results! At 59 years of age, I decided to finally give permanent make-up a try, and unfortunately was "christened" by a very bad aesthetician. Fortunately, I discovered Julia at Salon Fantazia who was willing to work with me to get my eyebrows back into an acceptable shape. I had to explain what I wanted very clearly and more than once, since English is not Julia's first language. But she took time to make sure she understood what I wanted, even letting me outline the area I wanted her to fill. After having such a horrible first experience with a different make up artist, I am very grateful to have found someone who was sensitive, experienced and reasonably priced. I could tell that Julia put many strokes of detail into my eyebrows, where as the Original aesthetician did not use the artistic and subtle techniques. Do NOT go to Julia for esthetician services. I haven't had a facial in a long time and wanted to treat myself for my birthday. This was not a relaxing spa facial, different from expected, but that's personal preference. Julia was quite brisk, no nonsense, again her style is a matter of personal preference. What I am upset about is that with the dermaplaning, she cut off a line of my actual hair spanning on the entirety of my forehead. That's 4 inches of the first several hairs on my head gone - going back about a quarter inch or so. Not just one or two of my hairs, which could have been a mistake, but the sheer number of hair she cut off seems like carelessness at best or negligence at worst. I have dark red hair so it's not like she couldn't recognize where my hair line started. I am a woman with long hair and it will take years to regrow this hair to reach the same length as my other hair. I'm pretty devastated. Shouldn't have been cheap with a groupon and instead paid more for quality service. Buyer beware. read more

Julia did what she calls a "3D microblading" of my eyebrows. It looked good at first but after it peeled and healed I ended up with a gray Tatoo of my eyebrows. I went back for a touch up, hoping for a better results but at the end my eyebrows still look like a bad tatoo. I am not happy with the results at all and would never recommend Julia's services. If you're looking for a good artist, keep looking. read more

The microblader, Yulia, has very rough movements, and she completely missed what my mom asked her to do. One brow was crying because she cut too deep, and another completely vanished because it was not deep enough. She did not have many colors to choose from and chose colors that were asked not to do. She was not helpful in explaining how to take care of the brows after the microblading. The microblading, itself, looked like a tatoo, not like little hairs. Many of my mom's friends who went to her, also did not appreciate her style, and went to another specialist to fix the problems. Thank God mom did not do the touch up, but went to the other specialist and rescued her brows. read more

WARNING I do not recommend Julia for permanent upper and lower eyeliner application, as it disappared after just one week. I contacted Julia regarding the problem and she wanted an additional $100 for a touch up! What touch-up? There was nothing on my eye lid to touch-up! When questioned, she hung up on me. A real pro? I do not recommend this salon for microblading! Please stay away! She might be better at other things but NOT at microblading. This was not what was expected nor a microblading procedure! Looked more like a tattoo. Her skills and abilities were not professional! Moreover, the product itself that she used was of poor quality. As soon as I walked into her room, I sensed that we needed to leave. However, she was quick enough to redeem the Groupon. When I asked to return my money, she stated to talk to Groupon and that most likely I would not get my money back. I ended up giving her a chance but it was a huge mistake! It's been 3 days since I got my hair cut, and I am still in tears over the job that was done... My Haircut is absolutely AWFUL! I called in to schedule an appointment for the same day, and was told to come in later in the day. When I got to the Salon, my hairdresser was busy with someone else. Julia Tarasov (the new owner, I found that out later) told me she would take me. She cut my hair about 3 inches shorter than I wanted. I came in with thick luxurious hair and left with a boy cut. Because I have thick hair she kept trimming and trimming until there was barely anything left. Now,I have ugly uneven thin streaks on the back, and my sides don't line up ( the hair on the left side is about 1 inch longer than the other side) When I told her that I don't like the hair cut, she tried to fix it by trimming more. I was terrified that I will not have any hair left by the time she was done. She was very rough, kept pulling my hair so hard that my scalp hurt, when she was brushing my hair it felt like she was half stabbing my head. I was in tears when I left. She gave me her business card and nowhere on the card says she's a hairstylist. She is an Esthetician, NOT a hairdresser. Isn't it illigal to cut hair without a license? I will never go to that Salon again. And I'll make sure none of my family members or friends go there ever again. * Edited to say: I've been going to that Salon on and off for over 6 years.
