Yesterday, I had a color appointment with Melissa and I couldn't be more pleased. Melissa is most pleasant and truly listens to the customer's requests. She definitely went above and beyond. Melissa did some things, such as protecting my skin from chemicals with Vaseline which I have never had there before. She conditioned my hair with great results. I had such a great experience here today, I didn't get the name of the kind lady who cut my hair but she did an amazing job! I came in as a walk in and was taken in for my haircut within probably 10 min of coming, I asked for a straight across collar bone length cut and my cut and style took probably 25 min max and came out absolutely perfect. Not sure how this place receives good reviews. Came in for a super simple haircut and they managed to mess it up. Did a fade only halfway. If you want a fade similar to mine, feel free to go waste your money here. I had to go to a different barber after to fix it. People are nice but have no haircutting skills. read more

This Salon gave my mother a skin condition on her neck because they, the hair sylist, dont sanitize their hair capes after they have been by the previous customer. She got this diagnosis from the UC Davis Lab where they test a sample of your skin. Aweful!!! There is no viable excuse for what has happened to my mothers neck. read more

I try to make a reservation because they do get busy, they are that good :) they take good care and time with their clients and you feel welcome . Visited for the first time today as a walk-in. Was expecting a wait but they took me right away. Wasn't too busy in the morning but I did arrive shortly after they just opened. However, once my haircut was done more people started arriving. Seems like a popular place. Loved my hairstylist although I forgot to get her name for next time Had a great experience and it was totally relaxing. Would love to come back on a weekly basis if I could! My hair cut turned out great! I told Brenda that I need my long layers to be shaped better than the last salon that cut it - in less than 10 minutes. She spent about 40 minutes making sure every hair was laying properly and she took such care with my cut. It looks like I paid downtown prices for a very reasonable price. I had an appointment for a perm and cut at 9:30am, to which I showed up at 9:25am to check in. 20 minutes goes by before I sit in the chair, not really an issue but it didn't make the situation any better. After I sit I showed the lady pictures and explain to her what I want done. Even pictures of my OWN hair that I had done in the past by my old hair stylist that I would've kept going to but he unfortunately just passed away. They proceeded to tell me no and that I should wait a whole year before getting my hair redone. They said they would cut it today but no perm, which I see no point in to wait the whole year that they recommended if they were going to cut it any way. I told them never mind and walked out. I went into iSalon to get a perm, and am very glad that I didn't. I wanted a body perm, with big loose curls and gentle waves. As soon as I walk in the door, the woman working there said that it would be $70, rather than the $50 she quoted on the phone. I was willing to consider it, until she showed me the curlers that she intended on using for my perm. Apparently there was some confusion that I could not fix, but she was convinced that I wanted a spiral perm, with tight curls. When I tried to explain that I didn't want a spiral perm, as I have spent quite a bit of time researching what I want, and what the curlers I need look like, she started rudely telling me that if I wanted a cheaper perm, I could go someplace cheaper and get something of lower quality. She repeatedly stated that they used high quality products, and that is why the perm was $70. For a $9 haircut salon to be talking about there being lower quality options, I honestly am content taking my money elsewhere. So the results: my hair is still sad and straight, but I didn't pay the full price cost I would find at a nice salon at someplace that still has haircuts picked by the number. read more

Horrible place ,i went one time to get a touch up and they some split my hair and dyed a little bit that Cost me 50$ and the second time I told them specifically what I wanted and brought my own hair dye , they still dyEd more than just the hair that was growing and that damaged my hair , its like they want to do what they want but they are getting paid to do as the client says . Ridiculous and they where complaining and I felt uncomfortably . I still tipped them .
