They have all of your standard favorites along with many others, and they offer a few pre-fixed tracks that can feed from 2-6 people, as you add more people more dishes are added to the meal. Very fresh and great tasting Chinese food. We are new to town and eat here at least twice a month. We're glad to have a Chinese restaurant in town that is good! With the wide spread power outage causing all of Tuolumne County to be without power; we decided to head to Angels Camp for dinner. Far East has been one of my favorite Chinese spots since I moved to the area. We used to get the lunch specials at work when I worked down the road from here. We were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. They weren't too busy when we arrived. We opted into getting the personal dinner which includes the soup of the day, the appetizer of the day & pork fried rice and whichever entrée you chose. The soup of the day was Hot & Sour and the appetizer of the day was spring rolls. My boyfriend got the honey walnut prawns & I chose the broccoli beef and we also got an order of pot stickers. The meal was delicious, we both had left overs for later. The restaurant is decorated with live plants and cultural art and décor. Have been here for takeout but never lunch. SO HAPPY!! I got the Chefs Special with chicken and even though it isn't labeled "Thai", it has those great flavors with bell peppers and basil. Came here on a recommended by my friend. It was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by home yummy it was. They had lunch specials. I always go for kung pao chicken. I saw the kung pao three items: shrimp, beef, chicken- which I do not see often. They also allowed selection of chow mein with steam rice or fried rice. I picked chow mein and fried rice. I was so good I inhaled the food. Service was super fast, food was nice and hot. Ambiance was very chill. I truly enjoyed it! Delivery order- Everything we ordered arrived hot which is the most important thing. Nothing really jumped out as being special or anything above average. Fantastic fresh Chinese food done right! I am so pleased with General Tso's Chicken. It was super flavorful and such a treat, as I can't find it anywhere in Ireland. The noodles in both were overcooked and they were so soaked in sauce they were dark brown in color. The only thing stopping this from a 5-star review is that my wife and I both asked for our dishes very spicy. They came out not even close to spicy let alone very spicy. We're a family of four where the parents eat vegetarian and the kids eat omni. My husband and I both ordered the ma po bean curd. I like food very spicy, so I asked for mine to be extra spicy. My sons ordered the sweet and sour pork and a chicken chow mein. We all ordered from the lunch menu so our soups came out first. The soup was good. My ma po bean curd was tasty, but not very spicy. I asked for it extra spicy and my kids could have handled the spice level on it. I had to add a lot of extra red pepper to get it to where I like it. The portions are huge and I was very hungry so that was a major plus. Both of my kids enjoyed their dishes. For a small-town Chinese restaurant, they were great.
