This place used to be fairly good. For some reason they have gone so far downhill the past few years, I will no longer eat there. I went in for a lunch special during the week while running errands in the area and was very hungry. Walked in and the place smelled like cheap perfume and something gross and unnameable. I was so hungry, I decided to suck it up and eat there, thinking maybe it was a customer and sat as far away from the others as possible. Still, bad smell. Not the customers. You can smell it throughout and it permeates. Maybe they have an issue somewhere and try to cover it up with air freshener or something else, but who wants to smell that when you are eating? Also makes one wonder what kind of issue they have? Old oil, rotting food, mold? It doesn't cover the bad smell, it is just bad smell with perfume on top. Yikes! I had a similar experience with the foul odors a couple of months back, but decided to give them another chance, as the food was ok and conveniently located. Not great, but edible. Nope. The only good news, is the waitress was friendly and prompt. The hot & sour soup was inedible and the hot garlic chicken tasted oddly similar to the soup. I normally really like both those dishes and they were both horrible. Sent the soup back as it was inedible and oddly super sweet and really very thick, like someone dumped a ton of cornstarch and some bottled Chinese BBQ sauce from a bottle in and then added a bunch of sugar to it. This was simply the worst Chinese food experience I have ever had. I picked at it because I was really hungry, but I will not ever go back. I was very grossed out by the foul smells and terrible food. Too bad, as they were really good when they changed hands several years back. Maybe they changed hands again, but I really don't care. I will never eat there again. I don't like maligning a local business, but it was pretty darned awful. Perhaps they will read this and fix it and save others from the experience I had. But I certainly won't be back. The food has been consistently subpar for a good long while now and this was the final straw, for me. Makes me a bit queasy just thinking about it. read more

Some of the reviews on here are not relevant to the food. "They don't have a bar" and "someone who went there when they were closing"? I went here for lunch. First off the entire place is extremely clean, which isn't the case for many restaurants. We were greeted and seated, drinks were brought. The menu is extensive. We had the tempura vegetables and dipping sauce appetizer. Both were excellent. I had the lunch special with sesame chicken. The fried rice and chow mien were very good with a slight grilled flavor. The sesame chicken was great, fresh and crispy with fantastic sauce. My guest had broccoli beef and said it was very good as well. Highly recommend! read more

With little options for Chinese take out in Jackson, I figured I'd give this place a try after looking into the reviews. Wasn't even given an opportunity to order. The hours clearly show they are open Tuesday - Sunday 11am-8pm I had called a few times as I understand places can get busy and calls get missed but never received an answer. That for me is a huge disappointment! Especially since I was planning on ordering for a rather large family. Along with Panda House, it's one of two solid options for something different than your typical American offerings in the area. My dad brought me in the door for the first time. It's a nice restaurant inside, well decorated and clean. The lady who helped us was super nice and we even chatted with her about how her kid goes to the local school. We ordered up a ton of items off the menu. Everything from your classic Kung Pao to wonton soup and chow mein and fried rice. The wonton soup, in my opinion, was some of the best I've had. Absolutely tasty and chock full of wontons and vegetables and a savory but sweet broth. It was all delicious, authentic in taste and deeply satisfying on a cold winter day. This was the last chinese food place local I would go to. Not now. It was my birthday dinner. (to go) Everything was undercooked. There was very little beef in my beef & broccoli. broccoli & veggies were raw except the florets. Sweet & sour pork meat was tough & chewy. The sauce was very skimpy. full of uncooked onion, not a pineapple piece in sight. Fried rice is so skimpy with the sauce that a lot of it was just white rice. And as for the chow mein it didn't really have any flavor but the presentation was nice. And I ordered the garlic fried chicken and I got stirfry with vegetables so I was like OK I guess this is how they have it but when we tried it it was so salty that we couldn't even eat it. I also ordered the house egg rolls, it was ok. I ordered the fried wontons but it was so oily. I don't think we will be back. I've been to this restaurant many times over the past few years, and the food has been decent...but NOT TONIGHT. I hadn't been there for months, but I had a hankering for Chinese. I ordered the garlic chicken, beef chow fun, rice, and broccoli beef. When I took my first bite of the garlic chicken it tasted off...WAY OFF...like it was old. It actually smelled old. I thought that it was me-maybe my tastebuds were off. So I took another bite-YUCK!!! I dumped the entire entree. Then I started eating the beef chow fun and broccoli beef...the flavors were WAY different from any chow fun/broccoli beef that I've ever had there or anywhere. So I dumped those, as well. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. I ordered online and waited 20 minutes before going to the restaurant to pick up my food. When I got there a child was manning the front and told me my order never came through. As she was showing me the order list, I saw my order number at the very top, unopened. Then the CHILD said she would have the food out in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I'm still sitting here. She offered me a drink while I wait and when I asked what they had she said "uhh water?" I ordered our usual dishes for pick-up; sweet and sour pork WITHOUT vegetables (hubby is allergic to onions), Chrispy chicken with basil (but they are out of basil so...), chicken fried rice, and wor won ton soup. His sweet and sour pork had TONS of onions, my Chrispy chicken was cold and had no basil and was too hard to eat, the rice was just ok and the soup was cold and the won tons were just gooey won ton wrappers without any meat, and there were only 4 of them!
