I like the new soft jazz playing in the background (instead of Laker games on the TV) and the service is excellent. Let's talk about the food: When they first took over it was a little rough and you'll see some poor reviews from that time. They listened to the complaints and they've really turned it around. They did get the original recipes but as any good cook knows, a recipe on paper is never the whole story. They've now made it their own and it's great! I was not informed or asked if I wanted rice with my entree which was Kung Pao chicken. Of course I wanted rice and was not happy when I opened the container to find that there was no rice. The best Chinese food I have had since a long time. Clean, inviting, very friendly staff. Parking is easy. Food is to die for. Their egg rolls were perfect and set the stage for the entrees.. we had a variety and every dish was completely eaten .. it was that good! Limited vegetarian options, but they were so good, that there are no complaints. So happy the waiter was upfront about all soups made with chicken stock. Well this time around was pleasantly surprising!! I switched up some of my food choices (minus the chicken chowmein) I know that will ALWAYS be a win. We got the combination fried rice as well as the honey walnut shrimp. And I was thoroughly impressed!! The shrimps actually came with the sauce on the side to go and I enjoyed it along with the sweet sticky walnuts! The combination fried rice was delicious and I LOVED the beef it had in it extremely flavorful!!! And like I said the chicken chowmein is my favorite so that was delicious per usual I was very happy! These are such large portions, you're almost guaranteed to have leftovers! I will say this order was a DD order so I cannot speak on the service or ambiance but I will say the food was 10/10 delicious!! read more

Gave up on this place 14 years ago but my kid said to try...it was GREAT! Super clean, friendly service and very delicious and fresh food!! Party of 6 and we all enjoyed it. All of the dishes were nice portions, fresh, not overly heavy in sauces and very good tasting! We will be back. read more

I was in the area for a few days for work and had a craving for some Chinese food. I normally try to be a bit cautious when traveling, so I looked on Yelp for local Chinese restaurants and found this one. I checked their online menu to see what was available and found a simple entree that I like, beef chow fun. I drove down to the restaurant, walked in and double-checked on the flyer menus by the register to see if the beef chow fun was still there since online menus may not be up to date sometimes. Unfortunately, beef chow fun was not on the menu. I asked the person behind the counter if I would be able to place an order for beef chow fun and she referred me to the manager. He came to the front of the restaurant, and I asked him if I would be able to place an order for beef chow fun. He replied that I could order beef dry fun with black bean sauce. Just to be clear, I asked if I would be able to place an order for "dry" beef chow fun and he replied that the kitchen only knows how to make beef chow fun with black bean sauce. I replied, "Thank you" and walked out. I understand that restaurants may cater toward local tastes, but if a Chinese restaurant is unable to prepare "dry" beef chow fun, then it's a restaurant that won't meet my tastes. I told my wife about this experience, and she had an order of beef chow fun waiting for me when I returned home in the SF Bay Area. read more

If you dine in the food is really good and the service is usually pretty good, too. If you have to take it to go, expect the styrofoam packaging they use to leak any sauces all over within the bag and this results in the food being tasteless by the time you get it home. I've asked them repeatedly not to put my curry chicken in styrofoam, and when they put it in the same (plastic) container as their soups it's fine, but otherwise it's a dry, tasteless mess. I arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday and the restaurant was pretty much empty...which was perfect, since had my choice of seats. Before I forget, they do a very good phone order service, so if you don't want to eat in...definitely give it a try. There have been some reviews about the staff being rude, I'm not sure it's about being rude, but I do think there's a bit of a language barrier. Food...I ordered the hot and sour soup and it was WONDERFUL! I also ordered the chicken and lettuce wraps, which was okay...slightly over-cooked and a bit salty for me. There's lots of free parking, which I'm sure varies depending on the time and day of the week. Lastly, they accept debit and credit cards, but not AMEX. read more

This restaurant is hit or miss. I think it is a better value than the chinese franchise place in town, however the quality varies, and so you just have to hope to get lucky the day that you visit. I got the honey walnut prawns, and they were actually prawns, unlike the small shrimp that the franchise place charges you extra for. The food came out quite quickly, and I enjoyed my meal. The reason for the three stars is that they were trying to get an extra tip in there, on the bill. That is just not right. read more

If I could rate zero I would. I ordered pan fried noodles and the noddles and this is how we received them. So hard it was inedible and even after mixing it with the toppings like the employee suggested it stayed the same shape. When calling and letting them know it was hurting our teeth to try and eat the noodles the woman yelled at me for minutes straight telling me it's my fault and I should order cooked cabbage if I couldn't eat it and also that I should have ordered chow mein since I ordered wrong. The potstickers were unlike any we ever had before. They were in a bread like dough, not the normal wrap. The filling was good. The pork in the chow fun was rough and dry. The tofu in the eggplant was also tough. Some of the chicken tasted old.
