Kibbe plate and 2 Grill Skewers plate.
    Michele C.

The outside is quite unassuming but the inside transports you with a Mediterranean vibe. Promptly greeted by Nora who would be our server, she made great recommendations, to which we started with the Arabic lemonades and decided on ordering a Kibbe platter and a 2 skewer platter to share. Both dishes came with 2 sides which were homemade deliciousness. We were later told the owner of the restaurant is the actual chef to ensure the food is authentic. For dessert we had baklava and a hot cheese dish I don't recall the name of and coffee. Everything was fingerlicking spectacular! Will def be coming back for more!

This is one of those hole in the wall places that will just blow your expectations out of the water. It's in a tiny strip mall but the inside is very cute and themed. Food was very delicious. The food was spiced perfectly. Great balance of salt and umami. Meat was tender and perfectly charred. And this meat is actually GRILLED not just placed on a griddle. The garlic cream was also absolutely divine. Service people here were also super nice. When I visit Miami again, I will definitely be back!!!

The food was so good and flavorful! I will say I do feel the price was steep. The restaurant was empty. We were the only one there for the entire time it took us to eat from stepping to to stepping out. Employees really only spoke Spanish. The dip try was my favorite part but I wish they gave more to dip in it bc there was so much left over sauce. The garlic sauce that came with the main was soooo good we had to ask for more!!

    Knefeh

The food is great and atmosphere is relaxing with a middle eastern vibe. More of a cozy vibe and feel to it. The Knefeh (desert) is the cheesy variety with soft top but was not soggy. Was pretty good. Price is about as expected for entree's (22-33 bucks for an entree plate) but over priced for desert and tea which is a huge part of any middle eastern restaurant's culture. Service was also good. Not overly attentive but there if you need something. Definitely would come back! I have edited this since coming back, the food is still good, but I do have some complaints. They started adding the 18% service charge like many places do in Miami, which pisses me off forcing the customer to pay for the companies employees (hence the company has free employees) due to the department of labor tip credit that should be abolished. Employers should have to pay for their own employees so that a tip is actually a tip and not their hourly wage. Should be my choice regardless. A tea is also 3.50 or 4 dollars for every tea. Every middle eastern restaurant I've been to does not charge you for every tea bag lol. And all of them have a tea pot option if you want more tea. Disappointed in the price gouging for tea and desert.

Faraon is a Lebanese restaurant located in a strip mall area. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but is nice and clean on the inside. We came Sunday late afternoon after reading some nice reviews and we were promptly and warmly received went we arrived. We ordered the large portions of the hummus, tabbouleh salad, fried kibbeh, grape leaves, falafel and malfouf. The food was very fresh and delicious. The fried kibbeh was really the best of the dishes we ordered. Super tasty! But the highlight of the whole meal was the dessert! The baklava is to die for!!!! Delicious! One of the best I ever had!! Customer service was also very attentive and kind! Akram was really nice and he did a great job! Definitely will come back again!

    Rosemary lemonade. Tasty but expensive!

I ate very well on my trip to Miami. Honestly, people of the 305, if it wasn't so damn hot and humid, I'd totally be down to stay there. But this little place really took me for a whirl! I thought I was just getting a quick easy middle eastern meal on the way to the airport, but I ended up with a finely craft and very delicious lunch! Faraon is small, and situated in a strip mall area that you could easily miss it in. However, I highly suggest you find it. I have a favorite place back home for Middle Eastern cuisine, and this is the only place I've ever eaten that has rivaled them on flavor and freshness. I got the lunch special, which is essentially a mixed bowl that gives you a little of this a little of that. You pick a protein, it comes with a rice base, and then several accoutrements like hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, etc. It was exactly what I was looking for! Almost like a little sampler platter of everything they do there in a perfect size portion. Flavors were beyond on point, they were spotless. I also listened in delight as I heard my waitress bounce back and forth between Arabic, Spanish, and English depending on who she was helping. Very impressive! We don't see much of that in North Carolina. I love the cultures at play in Miami. The only, super mild, complaint I have is that I kind of blindly ordered the rosemary lemonade and it turned out to be more than six bucks. It was a delicious drink, but at that level of price, you'd expect some alcohol in there or something. Still, my fault for not asking, at least it tasted great! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to visitors and citizen alike!

    Fillet skewer and Arab rice
    Manny G.

I was pleasantly surprised at the Lebanese food. It was just like homemade! We had the fillet skewers and the rice along with the baba ghanoush. The fillet meat was perfectly cooked and it was so tender and melted in your mouth. We also shared the Faraon appetizer Plate that brought a little bit of everything. The hummus falafel, Kibby grape leaves and stuffed cabbage. I can't tell you which one I like more. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back with great service. I highly recommend this location and we will be back.

    Vegan Bowl

Best Middle Eastern food and best falafel I had in Miami hands down! I absolutely recommend their vegan bowl it has rice, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and Muhammara. Vegetarian platter is pretty similar but different display and great for sharing. Their mint lemonade drink is amazing. Food is prepared fresh. Service is friendly. Overall I had a great experience and I'm surely coming back.

Is it me, or is $13 for 5 bites of Filet Mignon for takeout expensive?
    Bob E.

Hummus--excellent, perfect flavor balance * * * * * Baba Ganoush--pretty good, could have been charred more, no smokey notes * * * * Falafel--just ok * * * Stuffed Grape Leaves--very good * * * * Yebrak Malfouf--love that they have this * * * * Tabouleh--too dry * * * Kibbeh--amazing, moist, fresh, flavorful! * * * * * Pita--thin, dry, Publix-grade * * Extra Filet Mignon skewer--kind of expensive, 5 little-more-than bite-size pieces for $13? see photo All in all, way better than average. a bit more expensive than casual take-out kind of places but the quality is also much much better and you can see that they went to the effort to create a very pleasant dining room compared to many middle eastern places. The people working here are quite nice too. Recommend!

I was in the area and used my Yelp app, to see what appealed to me food wise. This led me to Faraon. I sampled their lunch special - which consisted of a protein, (I chose chicken), some rice with almond slivers, and 4 mini sides. The food was pleasant. However, I hated the fact despite sitting in I was given a paper plate. I want to eat off a proper plate if I am dining in, rather than feeling like I was doing takeout. Not to mention such a waste of resources, I am a fan of protecting the planet rather than harboring more and more trash/rubbish being dumped in land mines. The decor was pleasant.

The lemonade was so good. Def recommend.

The lentil soup was remarkably bland and lacked the depth and seasoning that had made it memorable before. The chicken wings were dry and arrived without being tossed in the sauce. I brought the issue to the server's attention after tasting one of the wings and explained that I was a returning customer with very specific expectations of the wings based on my previous experience. His response was a shrug, and the item remained on my bill. I took both the soup and wings home and attempted to rescue them myself--adding vegetables and seasoning to the lentils and air-frying the wings with additional seasoning and sauce. They were considerably better after the intervention. That, unfortunately, was the takeaway: when a restaurant has previously given you something worth returning for, consistency matters. So does acknowledging a guest's feedback when the experience misses the mark. I left disappointed, but perhaps the meal served as a reminder that sometimes the best version is still the one I make at home. The two cold appetizers - hummus and baba ghanoush with pita bread were edible. Disappointed overall.

They were responsive, flexible with the setup, and helped organize the seating so our group felt comfortable while still enjoying the energy of the restaurant. Mediterranean (specifically Lebanese) food is perhaps my favorite on this planet, but this place severely disappointed. I want to start off with the good. Nice, friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. And all the sides we had were great. Now, the bad. We got the beef shawarma, and it was ok. The shawarma itself was largely bland, and just tasted like cut up steak bites with no flavor. However, that's not the worst part. I had an absolutely nauseating experience with the arayes, which is one of my favorite dishes that I make at home from time to time too. It smelled like cigarettes, gasoline, and death. I don't know how else to describe it. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was, I assume lamb, and I've had experience with lamb that had gone bad in the fridge, and the texture was very reminiscent. I hope that's just a coincidence, and the smell was from another source. More so than the texture, again, the smell was enough to make us gag, and I have a strong stomach. I'd give lower, but I was treated fairly, and that would feel unfair. Thankfully, I'm not in this area that much, but I hope I just got unlucky and everyone else had and will continue to have good experiences here.
