Phoenician connection. Delicious but they should make it stronger.

It didn't start strong but they truly delivered. What an incredible vibe, service is great. The music is amazing! Thank you Tanner for making sure we had a great time. Vincenzo, our waiter was also incredible. He made great recommendations. Thank you very much! Totally recommend it.

One of my fav restraunts. The food is amazing! The ambiance is nice. Great service every time I've dined here. Every guest that has dined with me enjoyed the restaurant as well. Friends I've sent in were happy they tried it. Will dine here again!

The service was excellent. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were seated within a few minutes. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with a mellow and welcoming ambiance. Our waitress was fantastic--she gave great recommendations and guided us toward traditional dishes that did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. Even though I wasn't very hungry, we ordered a few appetizers. The trio dip was amazing, followed by the octopus and the steak tenderloin kebab, which was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For dessert, we had the date cake, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely come back!

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right -- warm, stylish, and inviting. The hostess greeted us with a friendly smile and quickly sat us down, setting the tone for a great brunch experience. We originally came to try their Miami Spice menu, but once we spotted the beautiful brunch buffet, all bets were off. The spread looked incredible, and honestly, everything we tried was amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and well put together. The buffet is the way to go if you like sampling a bit of everything. We also ordered the Truffle Rakakat (hands-down my favorite!), Pita Lox, and the Brunch BBQ Combo -- all seriously delicious. For drinks, we went with the Lebanese 75 and Amal's Old Fashioned, both strong, well-balanced, and worth recommending. Overall, we had an outstanding experience. Great food, great drinks, and great service -- can't wait to come back again soon!

Baklava (skip at $16 - dry and aromatic)

Great Lebanese place. While I'm generally not a fan of middle eastern or Mediterranean cuisines - not a fan of the over reliance on heavy aromatic spices that take over dishes, this place has managed to strike a balance of all those flavors by serving the meats along side the veggie garnishes, but not necessarily mixed with them. The place and ambiance are nice, but nothing remarkable, just appropriate for the price point and Grove location - it's going to be a pricey experience. Their ice tea is VERY aromatic - if you prefer traditional green tea flavor, as I do, their tea is not for you. If you are crazy about weird aromatic flavors such as bitter lavender in places they shouldn't be (not saying there's lavender in their brew), their tea will be orgasmic for you. It's an explosion of flower power I only like in flower arrangements. It's the typical putting of rose water on baklava - you might as well spray Channel #5 on it and still call it dessert. Fragrances have a place in perfumes, not in food - at least not for me. Speaking of their baklava, it was 'barely' OK, and at $16 for a tiny serving, it'd say it's subpar, very dry (vs the typical chewy nutty center drenched in honey) - it's just not a dish I'd recommend from them at entree prices; or really at any price that's beyond $9/10. For dessert, they have a date cake (their most popular), which is actually yummy, go for that - it's a better way to spend your $16 on a dessert and will actually be satisfying - their baklava is like a dry Cuban pastelito with a smear of honey over it. The meat entrees were all delicious. Their fries were good, and made a good side to the meats. Their pita bread was QUITE GUMMY and hard to get through and could potentially damage your molars. Their octopus was 'meh' at best - they try to make its suckers crispy, but it instead it ends overcooking such a delicate meat and it becomes 'gummy'. We ordered 2 servings and the first one was not just over cooked, but gummy, bitter and with an unpleasant 'gamey' after taste that everyone noticed. The second serving thankfully lacked the bitterness and gamey taste, but still gummy and over cooked. Expect to pay a minimum of $200 for a couple's night out, specially if you like your cocktails and desserts. Service was excellent and attentive, as you'd expect when paying these prices - albeit price point is rarely ever a guarantee of good service. Below I post Just one of the meat kebabs dishes, they look like 't@rds' (apologies for the graphic description), but were delicious; personally I only found them second in flavor to the shrimp in the big meat platter, which were 'big jumbo' (redundancy intended) shrimps, cooked decently and very flavorful. But again, all the meats, except the octopus, were great. Sa7a!!

I came here for the Miami spice brunch that was $35 per person. They had a beautiful spread for all you can eat items that included hummus fruits, different pastries, different dips including labneh. In addition to that there is a variety of items that you can order for breakfast. Each person gets to order one entrée I got their pancake, which I thought were pretty mediocre. They weren't anything special. The buffet portion was really good. I really enjoyed their pastries. they had a lot of flavor. There was a wide variety and this was a good option for people that are vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. The service was pretty good. With the breakfast, they don't let you take anything with you other than the entrée. I had one small pastry that I had taken a bite out of, and they threw that out as they packaged the food themselves, which was a bit disappointing as that just feels wasteful.

Amal s always a great place to celebrate special occasions. On this day, we celebrate a friend birthday and gathered at Amal. The hostess was very friendly and sat us at a spacious table were are whole party fit and even was able to accommodate an extra guest. The waitress was also very nice. She gave us suggestions and kept checking on us to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing. The lamb with rice is my favorite dish. Taste so good! Honestly, I think you can't go wrong with any item. Everything I've had has been delicious.

We had the pleasure of enjoying the Miami Spice brunch at Amal Restaurant, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The space is stunning, and the host's welcome was impeccable. There was a live trio playing, and they were excellent--such a nice touch that elevated the atmosphere. Our reservation was for 2:00 p.m., and we were seated around 2:20 p.m. We were given a table with a mix of chairs and a booth; I personally found the booth a bit uncomfortable, so I wouldn't recommend that option. That said, the restaurant's décor, layout, and overall ambiance are fantastic. Even though the main A/C was out of service, they managed to resolve it perfectly with additional units--temperature was just right and we felt comfortable the entire time. The buffet presentation was exceptional, and the food itself was flavorful, colorful, and very tempting. I ordered the Salmon lox, and while the salmon and cream were both delicious, the pancake-like base underneath was a bit too thick and hard to cut. My husband had eggs that were wonderfully cooked, and the potatoes were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a bottle of Jerman Pinot Grigio wine, which was excellent and fairly priced at $60. Desserts were a highlight--served in small portions, allowing us to try several different bites, each one delightful. Service overall was kind and attentive, though it did take a while for empty plates to be cleared. Our main server was polite and very professional, but some of the assistants didn't quite meet the same standard. Amal is a Lebanese restaurant with beautiful presentation, bold flavors, and a truly pleasant ambiance. The crowd was great, and they even offered us cocktails upstairs on the terrace while we waited for our table--another nice detail. Overall, this is definitely a place I would return to. A memorable dining experience!

Came here with friends for Miami Spice on a Sunday morning. First off, I have to rave about how beautiful this place is - very Bohemian chic with plenty of natural light. It's stunning. Bravo to whoever designed the place. Our server presented their buffet menu ($55) and pushed pretty heavy on that. We had to ask for the Miami Spice menu, which wasn't at the table. I will say, buffet elements ended up getting worked into the Miami Spice offering (for apps and desserts), so it worked out nicely, especially because it boasts a nice spread. For my main dish, I ordered the Shakshouka, which wasn't overly spicy as the menu implies. It is on the smoky side though. We all shared the Truffle Rakakat, which was delicious -- definitely something worth ordering as an add-on to the Spice menu if you go that route. My friends enjoyed their alcoholic beverages and I savored my iced latte. There are many options to choose from at the buffet for dessert so it's worth trying as many as your belly can hold. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming back for a Yelp Elite dinner event next month.

    Fried Kibbeh and Amal Hummus
    Miami G.

We visited Amal for a family dinner and it was exceptional. The decor is beautiful and the food was amazing. We ordered various appetizers so we could taste a few items and none disappointed. The amal hummus was delicious with small pieces of meat in the center topped with a sauce that made it taste like heaven! The grape leaves were not my favorite but they were not bad. I grew up in a Lebanese household so this was a tough one to beat the homemade version. The kibbeh naye was on point as was the regular fried Kibbeh. The fried Kibbeh could be a little bigger, but they were good. The lamb shank was out of this world delicious as was the cinnamon rice it's served with. Highly recommend this dish and it's big enough for 2 to share. The pistacchio kafta was also very good. There was definitely no room for dessert for any of us. We paired all of the meal with a great bottle of wine, 1847 Cabernet Sauvignon, the cheapest one we found on the menu and it was excellent. The wines are on the expensive side. There is self parking right next door but I think they also offer valet parking. They have a side patio area which is really nice, when the weather is cool in Miami, would not recommend sitting outside on a typical hot, humid Miami day. Also want to shout out to our server Sara who was beyond amazing, tending to our table continuously and all of her suggestions delivered. All around great food, ambiance and great service. We will be returning, no doubt.

Great ambiance, a little loud and busy as a wedding reception was going on upstairs. But our dinner was fabulous with a great wine suggested by the sommelier. We had the cauliflower appetizer (the sauce was delicious), the kibbeh, then shared the lamb and beef kebabs. Everything was delicious, the kebabs could have been a little juicer but still great! For dessert we tried the baklava and mastika ice cream. The baklava was better IMO but both great options! Makes a great date night spot!

First time at Amal. We had three different dips, the skewers for 2, a drink (forgot the name) and the date cake. The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. Siyne gave great recommendations on the food. Beautiful ambiance with nice music. We had an amazing time celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Make a reservation!

While this restaurant knocks ambience and vibe out of the park, I think it fell short on food quality for me and I would be able to find much better Lebanese in Miami for a fraction of the cost. I found portion size to be smaller than ideal, and everything we tried was just kind of meh - nothing particularly memorable. We got exclusively vegetarian entrees and I'd be curious to try their non-veg options, but don't think I'd be eager to return

Lira Beirut celebrates this through its food, decor and service. The whole vibe of the place seems extracted from a cool corner of Beirut with beautiful retro-cool artwork that is colorful, happy and sophisticated. From graphic prints, to black and white photos and architectural studies, it gives you a sense of a culture that takes the best of the middle east and cosmopolitan worlds. That sets the stage for the food served here. This is not a watered-down shawarma spot to pacify over-served revelers. It's a place to meet real foodie friends who appreciate authenticity and carefully prepared dishes in an elevated way. I haven't had a chance to go to the Middle East, but I can tell from the deft use of spices, heat and technique that their intention is to share the best from their food memory of the old country. I've gone on a few occasion and really enjoyed the fattoush salad, the labneh mtwame, the muhammara, the chicken shawarma plate and the kafta. Many of the dishes come with the crispiest, most addictive fries I've had, gorgeous savory rice and a heap of fresh, fragrant herbs. Even the wine list is pretty nice, and I've had the well priced Sauvignon Blanc and the Pouilly Fuisse. I wished the location were better for us and for them. It could use a more visible location where nice traffic goes by it. Since it's at the edge of Wynwood where it borders with the slowly gentrifying Overtown, it could take a while before its riches are recognized. I can't wait to go back for happy hour again, and I long to see the day when this becomes an awesome neighborhood hangout as they build more apartment buildings in the area that can house people who will appreciate all that Lira Beirut offers.

It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. I apologized for dropping it but not once did they made me feel bad about it. Instead, one of the staff stated it was an indication of having a great time. They also replaced my drink at no extra cost. A guy, who I assumed was the manager or owner, also passed by our table and ensured we were enjoying our time. Our server mistakenly brought me the wrong drink that I ordered, but I did not mind it because I actually loved the Moroccan Mojito and instead ordered another one. I also loved how they have copper cups because it makes water taste so much better. Their attention to small details like that makes the difference. I feel like my sexy book boyfriend would definitely take me here. The staff were fabulous, friendly, helpful, attentive but didn't interrupt the flow of the evening conversation at all. Okay now the food!!! so so so so good. Cabbage Rolls: Perfect Combo of Moist but Crunchy Cigar Rolls: Crunchy, Cheesy, Delightful Three Mezze: Bury me with that bread & give me all the dips Salmon Kabab: NO NOTES, DELICIOUS Adana Kabab: Just Juicy Enough, Seasoned to Perfection Pistachio Kabab: Also good, does have a kick of spice in the after taste Chocolate Baklava: I'll take 12 more please Cheesecake: Wasn't for me. I prefer my cheesecake more solidified & not savory.

The restaurant has 2 levels, there was a large group upstairs celebrating, good for them but they appropriated most of the servers so we were left with only one to take care of all tables on the main floor. He took a long time to come by our table and also take our drink order. The drinks were good so we patiently waited for this server to take our app order. The food was delicious so we let the lack of service pass. After our meal we waited some more to order dessert. Unfortunately when the server finally came by we asked and he said oh the kitchen is closed. We were confused and very disappointed. The least he could've done was advise us of the kitchen closing so we would have time to order dessert. That was a really bad move and we were left dumbfounded. Our bill included a 20% service charge and again I was insulted as I would not have tipped him that much. Food = great Drinks = great Service = lacking

The food is where this place truly shines. Everything tastes exceptionally fresh, like it's made to order with high-quality ingredients. The flavors are vibrant and authentic, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. Whether it's the meats, salads, or sides, everything is consistently delicious and well-prepared. 10/10! Mediterranean (specifically Lebanese) food is perhaps my favorite on this planet, but this place severely disappointed. I want to start off with the good. Nice, friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. And all the sides we had were great. Now, the bad. We got the beef shawarma, and it was ok. The shawarma itself was largely bland, and just tasted like cut up steak bites with no flavor. However, that's not the worst part. I had an absolutely nauseating experience with the arayes, which is one of my favorite dishes that I make at home from time to time too. It smelled like cigarettes, gasoline, and death. I don't know how else to describe it. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was, I assume lamb, and I've had experience with lamb that had gone bad in the fridge, and the texture was very reminiscent. I hope that's just a coincidence, and the smell was from another source. More so than the texture, again, the smell was enough to make us gag, and I have a strong stomach. I'd give lower, but I was treated fairly, and that would feel unfair. Thankfully, I'm not in this area that much, but I hope I just got unlucky and everyone else had and will continue to have good experiences here.

We dined with our three boys; We had appetizers (hummus and cabbage rolls). They were amazing! For dinner we ordered the Faraon King Mix: it includes three meats and two large sides. Absolutely delicious. My partner ordered Kibbe Nayeh, which was presented beautifully. Nora, our server, was wonderful throughout our entire experience. The service was quick - we didn't have to wait a long time for our food. The tables were cleaned quickly to make room for dessert! Yes. You have to make room for dessert and coffee. Yummy! The Faraon restaurant is a hidden gem for Lebanese cuisine. It will be my go-to whenever I want authentic, hearty, warm middle-eastern food. Very family friendly!

I have noticed this one on Yelp, but because it is not near my home, I have not taken the opportunity to visit. However, tonight, I was going to be in the area and took the plunge and am I so happy that I did. Talk about a beautiful restaurant that is both welcoming and consistent with the theme of its food and add to that excellent service and the best kebabs and falafel. I have tasted since moving to Florida and you have a real winner here. The Baba Ganesh hummus and other dips are just wonderful. The pita is fresh. I really cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my meal here. So much so that despite the distance, I will certainly be returning. As a sidenote, I was hesitant when I saw the plaza that the restaurant was in, but think oasis in the desert. Once you walk in your in a world of wonderful food and service.
