We hired Farley pavers to install pavers around our pool. Cody came and looked at the site and worked with a consultant we hired who has 30 years of experience in the industry. Farley pavers provided us a rough sketch of the area to receive the new pavers. We picked a paver, signed the contract and scheduled them to begin the work. Part of Farley's service included calling dig alert to mark any possible utilities in the area they were going to grade down for the new pavers. We later found out they gave dig alert the wrong address. Farley pavers isn't aware that dig alert does not mark irrigation or pool plumbing lines. Farley's contract says they aren't responsible for breaking any plumbing that is less that 12" deep. Their contract also asked for a larger down payment than the CSLB law allows on a contract. Once Farley's began the work, they hit a shallow pool pipe in the paver area. They made us aware only because I walked out to a huge leak and they fixed the pipe only after my husband took time from his day to go and get supplies at Lowe's. Unbeknownst to us, they also hit the main water line supplying water to the pool autofill. They failed to mention anything to us and just decided to cap the line instead of fixing it. What reputable company would do this. Cover up their mistake and lie? After the project was over, the autofill, which was previously working, was no longer working. Farley also hit and broke multiple sprinkler heads and irrigation plumbing. They attempted to fix it, but did a poor job doing so. In fact, they made it worse. My dad, who is 74, ended up repairing all the irrigation. During the paver install, Farley's employees wanted to remove some recently installed foam that was installed against the pool to create a proper expansion joint. This goes against all logic, especially with the heat in the valley. Without a proper expansion joint, pavers can move and push on the pool, causing damage and cracking. We insisted they leave it. They also were going to provide less pavers than were included on the drawing they provided to us. We caught this and the did expand the paver area to fit the drawing. If I had not caught this error, they would have just left it. During the paver install, Farley only sent a project supervisor when there was an issue. Some of these issues could have been solved by regular visits by someone in charge. The workers were clueless to the issues or how to fix them. At the end of the project we had to threaten legal action against Farley to credit us for the needed repairs to the irrigation and pool plumbing. The repairs really should have been their responsibility to repair, but we ended up with the burden of digging up the autofill line and repairing the irrigation. At first, Kevin King was combative about everything. Once we threatened legal action, he did send his workers to help rectify the autofill plumbing issue. Things could have gone so much smoother if the field guys or a supervisor would have communicated with us. Why tell us about the pool leak and then say nothing when they hit the main water line? Makes you wonder what else they have done at other projects. Think before you hire them very carefully. Overall, Farley's price was fair and the pavers turned out nicely. But the headache and stress wasn't worth it. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE! The bumpy ride could have been avoided with more communication and action on their part. They did end up giving us a $1,000.00 credit for the time and effort we spent correcting their mistakes. If you decide to hire them, insist they have a supervisor visit your job frequently. Be there everyday to check on these guys completely the work. Check to make sure everything that was functional before they arrived is also functional after they leave. Fixing their mistakes was difficult and time consuming. I am glad the nightmare is over. read more

We chose Farley Pavers to demo our concrete driveway and install pavers as a result of their stellar reviews online. The project started out very well, but went south a few days into the installation. Our sales representative Cody was very professional and helpful when we were choosing paver colors and installation patterns. We felt quite confident going into the project as a result of our experience with Cody. Prior to the installation we were told it would take 2-3 days to complete, but it ended up taking 10 days due to a combination of the following: We requested a border on each side of the driveway, but borders were installed on all four sides of the drive - on each side and top and bottom. This had to be corrected. After machine compacting the pavers and sand, we noted that at least 50% of the pavers were scratched. We were told that the compactor had picked up small stones thereby scratching the pavers, which then had to be removed and re-installed. After speaking with another paving contractor about this issue they said the scratching could have been avoided if a barrier had been put over the pavers and sand before compacting. When the scratched tiles were marked for removal and re-installation, I witnessed one of the workers who was solo that day try and remove the identifying marks on the pavers so as not to have to replace them. He then left hours early at 2 pm. After about 4 days into the installation, on a daily basis the main office repeatedly demanded the balance on the account be payed. Note that demands for full payment before services have been rendered is illegal in the state of California. Toward the latter half of the installation, the workers frequently arrived anywhere between 1-3 hours late even though saying that they were just minutes away. I asked for a discount due to all the hassle above and they gave me a grand total of 0.015% discount off the total price. In the end, there are still a few remaining scratched pavers in our driveway. For the reasons stated above, I do not recommend Farley Pavers for installation of any hardscape. read more

Had pavers installed by another company (wish it had been Farley Interlocking Pavingstones) and the original paver company never cleaned or sealed them. And they also left big gaps between many of the pavers....did not use enough sand in paver joints. The bottom line...my pavers looked really bad. I had heard about Farley (same last name as mine but we are not related) and had a good feeling they would do a decent job at making them look better. They EXCEEDED my expectations by a mile!! Christian, Jasper, and Juan-Jose worked painstakingly cleaning the pavers - many of them had paint on them and a few even had black street tar. They got all of it off! Also did a great job filling the paver joints. These guys take REAL PRIDE in their work - great to see these days when customer service is at an all time low....and hit or miss. Everyone at Farley is great - communication top notch. Always kept me informed. Patrick Farley and Capi Grace were exceptional at keeping me updated. And everyone (including the cleaning and sealing team at my house) were very polite and listened to my concerns. It was an overall positive experience and I have received so many compliments from my neighbors and even tourists walking by my house. Well worth every penny and certainly increased the value of my house. Not to mention killer curb appeal. My advice: go with Farley from the get-go!! read more

Farley Interlocking Pavingstones - Looks BRAND NEW after cleaning and sealing my driveway pavers!! - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Palm Desert, California

I am a little late in submitting this review . . . but, as "they" say, better late than never. We had Farley Pavers install a new all paver driveway mid-last year (2018). We live in Desert Horizons CC area. Our driveway is "rather large". I met directly with Charissa Farley in selecting the materials, reviewing the install procedure and, most importantly to me, reviewing the contract. I warned Charissa ahead of time that I ask "a lot" of questions which for some salespeople​, drives them crazy. My hats off to Charissa. She stayed with me on every question and offered me assurances that Farley Pavers will stand behind their work. The Farley install team was GREAT. The install ran a bit longer than I think all of us expected but the Farley team showed up on time every day until the job was completed . . . and the driveway looked beautiful!! Sadly, a few weeks​ later, we experienced some sinking in an area of the driveway. I called Farley and Hector was quick to come out, take one look at the affected area and agreed with the assessment. He dispatched a team within a couple of days and they removed, repaired and replaced the pavers and the driveway has looked "perfect" ever since. I interviewed​ a few local and non-local paver companies before speaking with Charissa. I can honestly say that Farley Pavers proved to be a great combination of highly competitive price/value, experience, service and, very important to me, they stand behind their work! We were right in the middle of a contract with a nationwide paving company and it was NOT going well. Very poor communication after the initial sale and we felt stuck and taken advantage of. It's a simple patio at the back of a condo and it dragged on and on. Our original salesperson ghosted us and was impossible to reach. Then, we saw an ad in a magazine for Farley's and thought, "We really should have gone with a local company." But we didn't think we could get out of our contract and work was finally about to begin. But, as fate would have it the original company PULLED OUT! They said our HOA's requirements were, "Too restrictive." Farley's to the rescue! They work in our area so they know all of the HOA requirements and they were completely comfortable and understood what was needed. The hand off from initial sale to project manager to foreman on the job site was seamless. Everyone was super friendly, clear in their communication and they handled literally EVERYTHING! The communication was proactive and they were always one step ahead of the game. Big shout out to Farrah, Capi and Hector. Our patio looks fantastic. As a result of exceptionally good recommendations by two friends who recently used Farley, I contracted with Farley without shopping others. Turned out to be a good decision. A crew arrived at the time and date they were expected and went to work immediately, non stop until quitting time. They were considerate and patient with me. Always left the job site clean and orderly. Seven hundred square feet of concrete was removed from the driveway and inner courtyard. It was replaced with Orco Villa in Chateau, and sealed in just a few days. It's beautiful and many compliments from friends and neighbors. I can't stop admiring it. I later learned that the price was certainly competitive, AND the value of my home increased a lot more than the cost of the job. She came in under other bids and sooner than the presumed date both in manufacturer and installment. This is truly a wonderful company. Several years ago, Farley replaced my stained concrete driveway in La Quinta with beautiful paving stones. They did a fabulous job at a reasonable price. Like the other reviewer, I found myself staring at and admiring it many, many times. Still do. Last month, however, I noticed some serious stains and tree sap that detracted from the appearance and looked like they would be hard if not impossible to remove.. So what does Farley do? They are on it immediately and clean the entire driveway. When I next saw my driveway, I could not believe my eyes! Brand new as it looked Day 1. And what do they charge? Not one penny. Nada! "Customer Service, they called it. Cannot recommend them enough. From the owner himself, to the office staff, to all of the great workmen who do such a fantastic job, Farley is simply a great example of what any modern company should aspire to be. read more
