There are many reasons to love this restaurant- the food and the cause being a few important points. The salmon farro bowl had the creamiest lemon and avocado sauce. It was loaded with pistachios and it had the freshest tasting salmon. The seafood chowder was also very delicious. All 100% profit from the restaurant goes to the Step by Step charity serving moms with at risk pregnancy and other efforts. Our waitress was telling us that she was one of the beneficiary of the program and now working at the restaurant. She said that she would be forever grateful. Expect the service to be a little slow though. Maybe it is tucked far away from the city so they seemed to always have a shortage in staff and this is a very busy restaurant. I have been to Farm 12 twice now, and both times it did not disappoint! This current time the food was delicious, drinks superb, and atmosphere delightful! We tried many different dishes, short ribs, salmon, lemon pasta, and more, and every single dish was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed my drink, the Peach Ginger Spritzer! Every person in my 10 person party left completely satisfied! It is on the pricey side, otherwise I would come here way too often! There was a bit of a wait for drinks and food, but they were very busy and I would guess short staffed. However, I have every intention of returning occasionally and trying even more dishes! You, as Farm 12, certainly are not going to let the public know that it's the last day of this and how many things you're out of or have changed, but sincerely, if you had any conscience you would let at least those who have reservations know that you had a limited menu. That said, had the fried calamari which was so greasy. The calamari itself was tender if you took all the breading off, which I did. Two people ordered the pasta with the caper sauce and and there was way too much flour and or cornstarch. Also, so much lemon it was almost acrid. Someone ordered the curry chickpeas with the chicken and the chicken breast was extremely dry. Steak frites is supposed to have paper thin shoe string french fries and instead they came with thick house fries. How can you advertise something like that and put something else on the plate? Food, service and ambiance are all top notch! Restaurant is super popular and busy but I get the wait time. If you get there early you seem to be able to be seated sooner. The servers are warm and knowledgeable on the dishes, helpful with recommendations. The cooks make delicious food and present the dishes so well. The restaurant is definitely farm feel, down to earth and simple good eats. I've only eaten breakfast and need to try the lunch menu too. Miracles do happen. This is the only way I can explain our experience. My daughter and her fiancée had planned to get married at the courthouse. At the last minute, literally 3 days before the wedding date, she broke down and wanted something more. We only had 3 days to find something!! In contacting Farm 12, Talleen helped my daughter. It was a beautiful garden room for the ceremony and beautiful garden room for the dinner afterward, this included the bridal suite to use. I know this is not proper writing but OMG!!, not only was it a beautiful experience, but for Talleen to make it happen in 2 days, at a very reasonable price - Amen. They treated us like family, like they really cared for us. This is almost impossible to find now a days. The food was wonderful, every fixing you can imagine and wonderful service staff, always there to help. I give them my thanks, but that does not seem enough. Would I recommend Farm 12 - absolutely!!! We came here for brunch and added ourselves to the waitlist before leaving the house in Tacoma, as per other reviews. When we left the house we were #12 on the list and when we arrived 30 minutes later, we were #2. Brunch's as great, I had the eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. The Benedict was delicious and the posts to accompaniment perfectly crisp and seasoned. The Bloody Mary was fairly standard although it did have a lot of garnishments. The coffee was delicious and I love that they offer regular cream, alternative cream, sweet cream and vanilla cream options. Overall we enjoyed our brunch. The property is beautiful and large there is a separate event space and cafe. I have been wanting to come for a while I hear it gets busy so the online wait list is great. Our server was friendly the food was great. We came to celebrate my birthday with family. My only complaint is it is loud it was difficult to hear each other and the Hot chocolate we ordered took a long time compared to other drinks that were ordered. The potatoes were perfectly crisp we all enjoyed our food my husband thought his gravy for his biscuit's and gravy tasted weird he didn't care for the citrus taste. For the most part though, you can't go wrong! My favorite meal is weekend brunch though. Make sure you reserve online first thing in the morning; it's a long wait! Farm 12 restaurant is located just outside downtown Puyallup with plenty of parking (adjacent gravel and paved lot). We visited on a Saturday at 9 am - at that time it was busy at opening as tables were seated at a paced sequence (presumably for the kitchen). We were told the wait was 15 minutes but it ended up being 5-10 mins more, again, a lot of empty tables but no rush to seat them. Service was pretty lackluster - we ordered right away since we had been waiting quite some time. we came with our toddler who liked her pancakes and side order fruit cup, my husband got the corned beef hash and liked it and I got the salmon farro bowl which I devoured. No qualms with the food, it was good though a tiny bit on the high $ side for what you get. I ordered a hot cocoa and my husband got a drip coffee - the cocoa was good, but server didn't ask if I wanted another and my husband (an avid coffee drinker) found his coffee to be undrinkable (we theorized it was both the coffee in general and maybe he was given decaf?) ... in general, no server to flag down and our server never checked on us except when we got the bill. We noticed a table of 4 (2 adults/ 2kids) that got seated ahead of us had eaten and finished and left while we were still waiting for our food. We ate after 10 and used the QR code to pay and get out of there at 10:15, all in all, the experience was a let down and we won't be back. My husband and I had brunch here for our wedding anniversary. We brought our dogs and had an amazing time. They are super dog friendly and have an amazing service! The ambiance is great, but unfortunately there were people who were uncomfortable with our dogs and even took picture of them. There were very few restaurants I liked in the area that had options for me with my diet restrictions so I was very pleased when I found this place because they had several vegan and gluten free options here! They have healthy food options that are loaded with flavor and their ingredients were very fresh. Their portion sizes were also quite generous, which in my experience is hard to find when it comes to healthy food you usually get smaller portion sizes. The food was wonderful, though our server was awful. She didn't stop by our table at all (not even to give us silverware). I had to stand up twice once for refills, once for utensils. We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday with our family and brought her favorite cake. Immediately upon being seated, we were told that outside food was not allowed. This was surprising and frustrating, as we have celebrated multiple birthdays here within the last year and were never told this--in fact, staff previously offered to store the cake in the fridge until we were ready. Tonight, that was not the case. After explaining the situation, I asked if we could at least have boxes and a knife so our family could take the cake home. The manager allowed this but made it very clear that we were not permitted to consume the cake on site. This interaction set a negative tone from the very start and genuinely ruined what should have been a special celebration for my mom. What made this even more confusing was being offered a free dessert while being told we could not eat the cake we brought. That contradiction makes no sense. As I was cutting the cake so my family could take it home--while my mom was unable to enjoy her birthday cake with us--we were being watched closely to ensure no one ate it. This was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and incredibly rude. This was a deeply disappointing experience. While our waitress was wonderful, the handling of this situation by management was unacceptable and should be reconsidered. We will seriously rethink returning in the future. read more
