The Canadian eggs Benny is SO delicious. The grapefruit hollandaise was something I've never had before and it was very tasty. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the 'sold out' cinnamon bun was more of a loaf then a bun, so it was more dry than a cinnamon bun would be -- also, it's much bigger than what we thought and what other reviews have shown it to be (I've attached a photo for reference). After reading the promising reviews of this upscale restaurant, we were happy to give it a try while visiting Banff. Mother's Day brunch was deliciously prepared and we were looking forward to returning for dinner. Unfortunately, their rotisserie chicken was nothing more than a rotisserie chicken from Costco, but was $42./full. The potatoes croquettes were ok, but not worth the $15. Lastly, their $13. S'more was the worst dessert! The brownie was stale and very salty and it was topped with the hardest piece of marshmallow that couldn't even be cut with a knife. It reminded me of a dessert that had been on display for months! read more

We had a wonderful dining experience for dinner with our family of 4. We are gluten free and there were lots of options. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and the pork belly. Loved the family style dishes. Our server was great and very knowledgeable with all our food allergies. We had the vegan chocolate mousse for dessert and we loved it! The only change I would make was the music playing. It was more clubbing/electronic music which didn't fit the atmosphere at all and was a little loud. Otherwise, the place was fantastic! read more

I have dined here a couple of times for brunch and it is really, really good. Both tiimes I ended up getting the Cluckin Good Time Bowl which is absolutely delicious. I don't like hollandise sauce and they were able to leave it off for me. Everything else we tried has been really well done. They serve local teas which I love. It is pretty much always busy so be sure to make a reservation in advance. The service is good and I have never felt rushed even when it's been super busy. There isn't much shade on the patio so I would request an indoor table. There are beautiful views out the windows and it's super comfy and cozy inside. The washrooms are a bit of a treck as they are in the hotel. Parking can also be a challenge as it is right on Banff Ave so you have to pay to park. There are a few spots on the side street adjacent to the hotel, and on the street behind the hotel. There's also a multi-level parking garage behind the grocery store. Once you do park, it is easy to enjoy the rest of all that Banff Ave has to offer by walking. read more

Our first stop in Banff, after driving slowly, slowly down Bow River Valley Highway from Lake Louise. Arrived at 12.30. We'd picked this place out weeks ago when researching our 10 day trip. Fresh, fresh ingredients in our brunch. We ran Amelia around moving from outside (too chilly in the end) to in. Modem, good atmosphere, quite empty on this Tuesday in very late September. Such a cute vibe and the food was out of this world!! We split a Margarita pizza and the mushroom pan loaf and both left me amazed. I'm still thinking about them a few days later. We stopped here for cocktails and were initially fearful we wouldn't be able to get in because the restaurant appeared to be at capacity but we were pleasantly surprised when we were brought to the bar side which had comfortable couch seating. Such a cozy way to enjoy our pre dinner cocktails. We had a few different cocktails -- my personal favorite was the espresso martini. Stopped in for brunch this afternoon and left with mixed feelings. While on the one hand the food is very good, I believe they have pre-prepared plates assembled that they complete on order as, due to some mild food concerns on my end, I inquired if I could remove a couple of items and was told I could only add on food, not remove. I understand this because it does lead to faster service and consistency, however I would say it does make things challenging if you have a food concern or consideration. Our meal was enjoyable, if not small for the price, and the coffee was good. With that being said, our coffee was never refilled nor were we given the offer to have to refilled. When we were here it was very quiet and the staff had ample time to relax and chat with each other (which, I totally support given I'm sure dinner service will be busy), but mostly everything, including the service was very underwhelming. Came here on a recent trip to Banff. We had our dog with us and they had a patio. They had no path to the patio from the outside so we asked if we could bring him through. The lady at the front was quite abrupt and unfriendly that we had our dog at the very front entrance. We were told to walk through the landscaping to get to the patio. Pretty strange not to have a pathway to the patio but we were happy to have a place to eat with our dog. Food was good. Vegan options were plentiful. read more

This is my new favourite restaurant in Banff. I used to rate Beaujolais top, but they closed, the 3 Ravens has been my top rated in Banff for several years but this week I discovered Farm and Fire. You need to come. It's only been open a week or so. Get here soon before the line ups start. The ingredients are sourced almost entirely from farms in AB and BC- a list of suppliers is posted near the kitchen We've been here twice this week. The food is innovative, well presented and delicious. There were 4 of us tonight. We had: trout-unexpectedly it had been boned before presentation- an excellent bit of knife work and worth appreciating, with a very tasty sauce; rotisserie chicken- juicy and tender ; roasted carrots which were amazing with the honey and hazelnut dukkah; garlic green beans- crisp and tasty; buttered cornbread full of bacon. For dessert we shared a creme brûlée, which had extra thick sugar crust and pull- apart bread which is mini cinnamon buns. Everything was first rate. There was not a single thing I would change. A word about prices- at first glance it looks a bit pricey but every dish serves multiple people- for example we had all we could eat and took some home. With a bottle of wine and 2 beers it was $50 per person- not just reasonable but a bargain for the quality. read more

Decent place for brunch, nice decor, attached to a hotel. The cinnamon "bun" is huge and can serve at least 4! We ordered a number of brunch bowls as well and each were tasty. First off they don't serve burgers. I put in burgers. We got a patty melt and I should have said NO! It was surged with some crap grape/blueberry jelly leaking through the holes of the bread. Nice atmosphere but my wife ordered the halibut that they price at $70 with no side. Came out sauce had great flavor but the fish was overdone and chewy and no side at all so my wife asks for bannock as well but sends the rubbery halibut back for a new one. server comes out and says the chef says that's how it's supposed to be, bs $70 fish should never be chewy, so my wife says ok cancel the halibut and I'll have lamb. Server comes out with bannock with bison which is another item on the menu which is its own dish. We send that back and finally my wife gets some lamb shank about 15 min after I'm done eating my meal, what a romantic date night. Wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic date night or great service/food. read more
