My 5 stars are primarily about the customer service from Audrey. The food was great: fresh, plentiful, and tasty. I did have a problem with delivery so I had to cancel my biweekly scheduled box delivery. That's where Audrey comes in. She's personable, efficient, and took responsibility for the mix up. (It was the driver, not Audrey who was responsible). I live in a maze of an apartment complex with 3 phases where there are triplicate buildings (3 building 1s, 2s, up through 24s). It's complicated and even with good instructions it's hit or miss. If I lived in a house or smaller complex I'd keep getting the box. I'm glad that I tried the service! read more

We have being using this company for about 6 months. Overall I am happy with the quality and price, but the last 2 orders have had items substituted that were not on my list and some issues with the quality of the produce. Do not order bananas from them. They arrive green and do not ripen properly. The cantalope, nectarines and green grapes are not sweet and I don't recommend them. read more

I never give reviews but I'm so disappointed with the customer service I experienced today. My delivery was to arrive on 3/1. I received at text at 5:40am that my delivery was on its way in 60 mins. I of course didn't receive it because I was asleep. When the delivery driver called at 6:40 to be let in our gate no one picked up. There was no attempt to find our service entrance or call the number that was listed on our account. The driver left and I'm now being charged the full amount of my order, not receiving any notice. I feel like there should have been a few attempts to deliver before returning the goods. Disappointed. read more

I had purchased a Groupon and decided to redeem it today online. First, it discounted only $5 off the total instead of the full amount. Since I had to input my credit card for "future deliveries", it immediately charged my card $1 for some stupid reason. Tried to delete and reorder to get the full amount discount and it would not let me. The store is closed, so I had to contact Groupon. They really couldn't help, so I had to cancel the Groupon. Still out the silly $1 charge. Pretty crappy that the company sneaks that un-consented charge. Keep it, It's Organic 2 U- I guess you are desperate for money. I do not recommend this service to anyone! As you can see from the picture below, this is all I got for 56$ The cucumber is mushy and I substituted the zucchini for Brussel sprouts but they sent the zucchini anyhow. I know I'm missing more items but unfortunately I didn't take a screen shot of it. It lead me to believe I was getting produce from the farm but since when do farmers put stickers on their produce. I could have gotten a lot more for my money at the grocery store. So very very disappointing! read more

My deliveries have been amazing, beautiful, quality, delicious, fresh produce, better then expected honestly and I already had high hopes based on my initial interactions. I was looking into ordering pasture-raised ground turkey, and came upon this website. It seems they're being deceptive, or not as careful when vetting the farms. The pasture-raised ground turkey they sell is in fact cage free in a building. Big difference. Go to the actual source, and double check. Farmbox Delivery in the Austin area is hit or miss in our trial of them this spring. We generally get one bad produce item in each box. It has been a rotten banana, a grapefruit that was moldy and rotted in the entire top half, a mushy onion, and this week we got one huge beet rather than smaller ones. I worried hat it was woody, so I peeled it to check. When I set it on the counter, a worm crawled out of it. Generally the delivery times are good - late morning to mid afternoon. Once the delivery didn't happen until 9:45 at night. On the other hand, the lettuce and other greens are lovely - big bunches, very fresh. read more

Five stars here!!! I was SO skeptical about someone else picking my produce for me! I am ONE picky thang when it comes to the quality of my ingredients, as I LOVE cooking good, fresh food! So. I did it. I "signed up" for the experience. (no contract, no fee) Not ONE regret! I have the opportunity to "customize" my box a couple of days before it's delivered, and the quality is outstanding! They are like a "Food Santa". They deliver to your doorstep before dawn on Wednesdays (my delivery day), so when you wake up, "BAM"- fresh produce from Food Santa! Lettuce is fresh (never wilted!), spinach has been beautiful...I could go on and on... This is a relatively new company that offers home delivery of organic produce to selected zip code areas. I signed up for the biweekly delivery and have received 2 boxes so far. The boxes are loaded with a wonderful seasonal variety of fruits and vegetables. I'm excited to receive items that are new to me and to learn how to prepare them. I feel the pricing is quite reasonable for home delivery of a good variety of many items. You do have the option to note any items you do NOT want to ever receive. You can also choose between a veggie only box or a fruit only box and you can also add individual items to the box for an extra charge such as herbs. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about FarmBox. The convenience of having my food delivered to my house is a lifesaver! The prices are awesome and I have never received anything other than the freshest, crispest produce. The chicken sausage is wonderful. I don't eat beef but I ordered steaks for my family and they said they were delicious. They were huge too! Lastly, and equally as important, I received the best customer service from Justin. I only corresponded with him via email on a couple of occasions, but he answered any questions I had right away and provided any assistance I needed. I love this company! I'm very much into organic and non gmo so I research these things ALL the time. I continuously noticed store bought fruits and veggies would go bad a day or two after bringing them home. This seemed standard for a few different stores. Tired of throwing out expensive food, I did some research and found this gem of a company. My weekly regular box is a mix of both fruit and veggies. Setting up the delivery was easy and I did it all online. Every Sunday you can go in and customize your box if you do not like or need what is being delivered that week. For instance, I got cabbage one week and still had half a head leftover. Rather than get more cabbage I changed my order and got eggplant instead. You can also add items you do no like to a list and they won't deliver them. I had bok choy on my list and they delivered it anyway, but as soon as I contacted them via email it was addressed. The veggies stay super fresh in the bags they provide and my fruits have never been fresher and more tasty. We also eat a ton of eggs and I pay $4.99 at the store for Egglands best organic cage free eggs. I just added their eggs to my weekly delivery. It's the same price and supports a local farm. What a nightmare!!!! I began service May 21, 2015. I specifically requested delivery once a month to see how things went before obligating to weekly or biweekly service. June 30 2015 along comes a second order as they rushed an order to me on June 03 2015. So much for the once a month delivery I requested. On Monday June 29, 2015 evening I received email stating a second shipment was being set up. I called immediately Tuesday June 30, 2015, and advised I did not want shipment as I would be gone for the holiday and no one was at home to accept shipment. My initial purchase was with representative Cory, so I called him and was told I could not cancel as the shipment would be delivered on the 30 June 2015, even though their email advised July 1, 2015. Cory, then advised me it is delivered in the early hours somehwere between 4am -7am, so it would be at the house no later than 7am July 1, 2015. I sent a friend to my house to pick up at 9am July 1, 2015 and guess what no box from Organic 2 U. I called the company and was given excuses at how they did not follow through as promised. I was then told Cory cancelled my box from being delivered at my request, NOT so!!!. Of course all along I was continually told I was being charged...of course!!! So a shipment that could not be cancelled was cancelled at Cory's request. I absolutely NEVER requested that. I would give the food away, especially if I was paying for it. Finally, at 2pm July 1, 2015 I received a call from their main office advising me that they would indeed deliver to me as during my conversation with their main office I had indeed requested the box be delivered. Fortunately, for me I recorded the two conversations with their main office and there was no such stipulation made by me. So I am apparently getting a box of perishable food delivered in the Texas heat to sit and rot for a week at my door step. What a company!!! Great customer service,and great stories. NO thank you. There are so many things that I don't eat so I was worried that I would waste things in each box, but that never happens. They always offer a great selection of choices each ordering cycle. They have a very simple user friendly website. On the site you can select from a list of items that you don't want and they will automatically substitute and you can easily hold deliveries while you're out of town. The best part is that since Farmbox includes seasonal items you receive a variety of produce and not the same things week after week. It also will include items that you may not normally purchase however will allow you to become more creative and incorporate different produce into your meals. I had to call on several occasions for last minute changes to my Farmbox and every time the customer service rep was friendly and extremely accommodating. BEWARE!! I was so excited to receive organic produce delivered to my door. I started in May of 2015 with my first order. The box of veggies and fruit were okay, but not spectacular. I had set up delivery for once a month thinking that if it was as great as others had told me, that I could increase the frequency. I decided that the cost/quality was not there and called to cancel since there is NO other way to do so. It is 2015, if they can figure out how to order online they can set up cancellation as well. So, I called and spoke with customer service. They were nice and said they cancelled the service. Next month I am out of town, and come home to a box of nice hot rotted items on my doorstep. I called them again, told them again that I had cancelled and they said they were sorry and would place it in the system. They refused to reimburse me. Well in July I happened to be home and the doorbell rings. It is them with a box. I told the delivery girl that it had been cancelled not once but twice. She took the box and again...I get charged. I called the place again, cancelled again and was told no refund. It is now August. I am still getting charged, no refund and the royal run around. She said that I need a cancellation number, and then proceeds to not give me one. I have never received a cancellation number from them until I called back and said wait a minute, you didn't give me one this time either! I am furious! If I could give them a negative number I would do so. I love supporting small business since I have been small business for years. But customer service that is more than lipstick on a pig needs to be in place. It takes more than a friendly voice, it means FOLLOW THROUGH. If it takes this long and this much frustration to cancel with a company, that company has major internal problems and no matter how good their product is, it is NOT worth doing business with them. read more
