Just kidding m, anyway it's about time I revised this review…read more Tavern is now one the places you wanna go in the Worcester area, 7 years ago man it was like a trophy wife, something u wanna display but not take for a ride. Now it's the catch, food has been upped, whoever is cheffin back there gets down and dirty. Bartenders great service even on busy nights. Well done. Happy to rereview positively.

Ambiance was amazing with a nice sunset, but you're looking over a parking lot. Still nice…read moreinterior. Food was not as described. Ordered the Blackened Bacon + Blue Burger. Tasted just like a plain old burger. Got the burrata, chip a tooth on the bread, and accompaniments to the burrata were not as described, no flavor, no taste. Guacamole order came in a dixie cup. Server rushed us to get drinks as soon as we sat down, did not give us a chance to look at the drink menu. It was same for the meal order, and then she was never to be seen again. When we asked another server for softer bread to go with the burrata, she said "this is how it comes". When the expeditor brought our guacamole, he spilled half the chips on the table and just walked away. Waited forever to get the check while some of the wait staff was sitting at the bar. Had to ask another waitress for the check. Never going back, and never have I given a bad review. Everyone has bad days, but this is just bad. Also the table next to us walked out before placing an order.

For food we had the fish and chips and the regular cheese burger. The burger was 9/10! The bread was fresh the ingredients felt fresh and cooked to the temperature I asked. The fish n chips didn't disappoint for a burger spot. Overall, I would definitely come back. The big bar had plenty of seating and the cabin vibes in the main dining hall felt like home. The bartenders were excellent good place to go if you're looking for good service as they were very attentive and friendly.

I cant believe that I am actually writing a review for Ground Round. The last time that I was in…read moreone, Yelp didn't exist. So, when a good friend called and told me that there was a new one that opened in Shrewsbury, it was off to the races. I had to experience this. Service: We got seated nearly instantaneously when we got in the door and the place was already quite busy by the time that we got there. My friend got a salad of some sort with a sandwich and I got one of their signature burgers. The waitress appeared in a timely fashion, took the orders, had drinks on the table in no time, and was very attentive to any and all needs. Ambiance: It was on a Saturday during sports season, so there was a lot of noise and chaos going on, but that is always how I remembered the Ground Round. It is NOT a restaurant that you are going to read a good book in. The fact that this restaurant also had high cathedral ceilings which increased the acoustics, made it a little more unbearable for people who like quieter spots. But to me and my friend, it was not a dealbreaker. Food: After all, what were we doing there for anyways, but the food? It was very good. She enjoyed her dish, and my burger was actually one of those "skyscraper" burgers that are impossible to grip with two hands or get into your mouth for a bite. After dining at the Ground Round again, I am moderately confident that I could take a bite out of the Prudential Center if the need arose. Don't get me wrong, the burger was tasty, juicy, and done to perfection, but it was yuuuuge. Overall, if I could give the Ground Round a 1/2 a star I would make my rating of them a 4 and a 1/2 stars venue. I will definitely be back and look forward to meeting my friend there again for lunch. :) -S
