Everything felt brand new, clean, and welcoming, and our waitress was attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the Peachy Thigh sandwich, which had really good flavor. My only complaint was that the chicken was slightly overcooked, but overall I enjoyed the sandwich. My husband ordered the chicken meal and especially loved the mac and cheese side. They also have a really cute patio that would be a great place to sit and enjoy a meal, but unfortunately it was rainy when we visited, so we didn't get to experience it. The service was great, and I genuinely wish I could say the same for the food. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and as someone raised in the South, I have questions. Concerns, even. The biscuit was somehow both dry and mealy, which is an impressive culinary achievement in all the wrong ways. The sausage gravy arrived ice cold and congealed, with the consistency of something that had given up on life somewhere between the kitchen and our table. As for the flavor? Onions. Mostly onions. Onions and sadness. Not a hint of breakfast sausage to be found. And then there was the Parmesan cheese. For reasons that remain unclear to me, the entire situation came topped with a perplexing coating of Parmesan. On biscuits and sausage gravy. Parmesan. I don't know who made that decision, but somewhere in the South, somebody's grandmother just sat bolt upright in her grave. I have eaten biscuits and gravy at gas stations, truck stops, church potlucks, and establishments where the health department rating probably deserved a closer look, and I have never been this disappointed by a plate of them. In the South, serving gravy like this could start a family feud. Great service. Truly lovely staff. But those biscuits and gravy need to be taken out behind the woodshed and put out of their misery. I was so excited to try this restaurant attached to our hotel, but unfortunately, our waiter ruined the experience for us. She approached our table with an attitude from the start. She messed up our orders, and when we pointed it out, she didn't apologize. The restaurant is cute, and their pancakes are very good. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of them. I ordered the steak and potatoes. My steak was very dry, but the potatoes were good. Needless to say, I won't be visiting this place again. We were passing through on our way home as we were traveling from Minnesota and my husband saw this restaurant on Yelp. We stopped and so glad we did. The building itself is so unique. The Silo Bar is cool looking and quaint. It was pretty busy for a Sunday morning but our party of three got seated as soon as we walked in the door. We had our waters and coffee. Coffee is a bit strong but they do have vanilla creamer. Also, I dropped my knife on the floor and before I could even pick it up, someone was over to our table giving me new silverware. I didn't even have to ask. My husband and I got the Wisconsin Skillet. Our server recommended it as I was torn between so many great sounding choices. The bratwurst was mild and the dish had crispy onions and green peppers. I don't like my vegetables soggy so this was delightful. The multi grain bread was fresh. My husband had sourdough and said it was also delicious. My brother in law got scrambled eggs, with bacon, hash browns and multi grain toast, he said his eggs were cooked perfectly. This restaurant offers better food than many fancy restaurants in the Chicagoland area. The menu features fresh, local food from salmon to cheese to some of the liquor brands available. This is the best salmon I've had at a restaurant in years and I loved the pairing with puréed parsnips. The kids chose burgers and said they were some of the best they've had. My fiancée chose the beef short ribs with a mushroom sauce and pasta and it was amazing! Our server was really helpful and checked back on us often so we were never without cocktails...er...I mean, water. There's a cool bar in a giant, attached silo that we sent visit because we had the kids along. I look forward to coming here again and highly recommend folks stop here while in the Dells! read more

The food was so good and our waitress Gabby was friendly and helpful when we asked questions about the menu. We ordered the French opinion soup, the silo burger( not pictured because my husband dug in before I had a chance. I had a bite. It was good!), blue berry cheese cake and the carrot cake. The blueberry cheesecake was ordinary compared to the carrot cake. Get the carrot cake! Also it's not pictured because we all dug in lol. This place is a vibe! In one weekend, I've came back twice! Both of my visits I chose to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather -- first night included live music! Different servers each night, both provided phenomenal, attentive, quick service! Forgot the name from the first, but second one was Johnathan. Manager even walks around and greets guests, realizing I had just been there the day prior mentioning "Welcome Back!". Food turned out great as well -- DO NOT miss out on the amazing cheese curds (had to order those each day!) Food was amazing and you can tell it's fresh. I recommend the French onion soup and Nana's cheese bread. The service however... not so great. Our waitress came and asked us what we wanted to drink while we were still pulling our chairs out to sit down so we hadn't even looked at the menus yet, she also asked if we wanted an appetizer.. also haven't looked at the menu yet. That's not a huge deal because fast service can be a plus but it was her coming to ask if we were ready to order yet 5 minutes later. And then another 5 minutes later. It made us feel like we were being rushed and they wanted us out of there. Other than that, the vibe is good, you can dress casual so no need to worry about what you're wearing. Outside courtyard was spacious and less noise than indoor space even with live music. Outlet mall right near has 10% off coupon. Parking was an issue. We had to park by the attached hotel. Not a big issue. My pictures aren't great. Previously had their French onion soup which was really good. Okay so I wanted to really like this place. Let's start in on the review. The place is new and clean which are great attributes for a restaurant. It was nice inside. They had an outside patio with a bar you could also dine at. Plenty of seating inside. The service was great. I can really only speak about our server. She was nice and checked on us often. Now to the food. I ordered the broasted fried chicken with fries. The fries were unique and I enjoyed them but maybe not as much as normal fries. The chicken was coated and battered. The chicken wasn't greasy which is also good. My issue is, the chicken nor the coating had any flavor. It was plain. I think someone forgot to season it or the recipe needs tweaking. The big gas station across the street has fried chicken and if there was a contest, I'd have to choose the gas station chicken. My wife had the chicken pot pie. Again, it looked tasty and came out warm but she said someone forgot to add any seasoning. She finally made it taste good by adding salt and pepper and stirring it up. Note to the chef and manager: Season these two things a bit. I did notice a nearby table had a burger. It looked very good from my vantage point. Another nearby table had a pizza. It also looked very good. We will try this place again in the future. It could be we just ordered some of the less tasty items on the menu. As i said before, I really wanted to like this place. Was really excited to try this place, we come to the Dells several times a year, so we were hoping to have a new breakfast spot. Someone in our party ordered poached eggs... the first try were hard boiled, the second were hard boiled, the third try we asked for over easy, we got "sunny side up" and not fully cooked... the FOURTH time was finally correct, but by the time they came the potatoes were cold. Then came time to pay, our waitress asked if we wanted cheese, peppers and onions on our hashbrowns, we all said sure. Turns out it's a $1 w for peppers, another $1 for onions and another $2 for cheese. I cannot express you what a joke. This place is first of all I got sucked in because I stayed at the hotel where the location is and I thought it would be a good way to have dinner. The menu is very deceiving and way overpriced. For mac & cheese with chicken, it was $27. That does not include a soup or a salad or even a breadstick or a piece of bread. When my daughter got her mac & cheese there was extremely long hair that was wrapped around the noodles when we told the waitress about it she looked at us and said oh did you want something else? Are you serious? So she came back exactly 5 minutes later with another mac & cheese and half the noodles were spaghetti the other half of the noodles for macaroni if that wasn't a joke enough then we ordered a French onion soup. She drops it off and says, be careful it's hot when I lifted up the spoon so much steam came from the thing it damn near fog the table we literally could not eat that soup until after our entrées were finished because of how boiling hot it was then when everything was served, she was very quick to give us the bill and when we got that she made sure she was inches away from me to make sure that her tip was put on the tablet device, feeling uncomfortable and awkward, and stared at until I did it. How quick she ran away with the tablet and then never clear our table. I reached out on Facebook to contact the company and their response to me was we never had a complaint like this and we will be sure to contact the GM over 24 hours later. The only response I got was what is your contact information. I asked several times who it was. Decided to try why looked like a higher end dining option in Wisconsin Dells. We were somewhat casually dressed but were a bit stunned to find other guests in cut off shirts and dressed extremely casual. The place is very new/nice but the booths definitely give it a casual feel. Started out with the cheese curds, which has a very light and thin crust on them- thy weren't overly powerful and you could easily eat the entire dish. French onion soup was good. Entre came with a side salad that was so small it could have been eaten in two bites. Cherry tomato was even cut in 1/2. They need to either get rid of this or offer a side vegetable with the me. Salmon was good, not great. I do feel like the $35 price tag was high for what you got. Brussels sprouts and cauliflower were good, again, not great ($14). Now, onto the kids. My kids wouldn't eat the food. $9, no included drink or fruit or cookie (something!) - I felt it was overpriced for what you got. The profit they are making on those kids items is kind of crazy. Overall, I'm giving it a 3/5 because if fine dining is what their target is, they missed it with the food quality and ambiance. If they want to lower some of their menu prices (like steaks and entres), then I probably would have rated it a 4 because the quality for the price would have been more aligned. read more

The dishes were a little pricey, so I decided on a Caesar salad. It came mixed with ingredients that don't belong in a Cesar salad ( garlic croutons, dried tomatoes and asparagus ). YUK. Then they wanted $8 to add chicken, so it was as much as the chicken dinner. The chicken dinner was half chicken and half breading, the coleslaw had a strong vinegar taste, the mashed potatoes were cold and the carrots were not cooked. We went on Friday. There was a great menu with many options. What caught my eye was the Friday Fish Fry options. They have two Cod choices. I chose the $22.00 Cod. I had it broiled, melted butter,mashed potatoes and salad greens. It was outstandingly delish! I've been craving it ever since. This Restaurant is attached to a hotel and conference center. It is pretty large. Gets filled up fast. Make reservations...? The Restaurant has a silo. The silo is a very nice Bar/lounge. There is a downstairs and an upstairs by elevator. The upstairs is unique due to the top of the silo resembles the shape of a kaleidoscope with clear windows in metal black triangular panes. Super cool! The Staff was all around pleasant, smiling and willing to assist (from front desk, Wait Staff to Bartenders). We ended our stay with the skillet cookie for our dessert. It was a large warm, delicious chocolate chip cookie in a small cast-iron skillet with ice cream with whipped cream. My cousin helped me eat it. It was that big. Very reasonable prices, generous portions and very delicious food. I suggest going here if you are in the Dells. . I can't wait to go back! read more
