Nice modern interior but a very confusing theme! They seem to be really proud of their milkshakes; they have over the top milkshake menus on the tables and flashing pictures of the milkshakes on the tv screens throughout the restaurant. It's confusing because all the food they serve is very heavy and I can't imagine someone eating a heavy meal filled by a large milkshake with like a donut or cookies on top. To me that is not appetizing.. and maybe they should consider a mini size for these shakes? The food was mediocre at best. The cheese curds were too airy and had a weird seasoning, the shrimp salad was just a bag of lettuce with 5 shrimp ( the menu mentioned roasted corn but I didn't get any for some reason). Not so much. Our server vanished almost immediately (except for one heroic soda refill). Meals were dropped by a runner and we were never checked on again -- despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a frigid Friday with more staff than customers, we still couldn't seem to get helped. I eventually had to go find the manager. In a place this slow, he could have easily gone table to table. He did not. My friend's chicken sandwich was inedible: gnarly, tendon-heavy, and made incorrectly after requesting almost everything removed (none of it was removed). My institutional burger and fries were a snore. They offered to remake my friend's meal to go. Out came... just a burger. No fries. No sides. Just vibes. Finding the manager on the way out and bringing up our issues: multiple disappearances, an attempted discount after she'd already paid cash, and finally a handful of dollar bills shoved into her hand with "I took care of it." He never really asked to resolve my complaints but at least I had something to eat. We went here for lunch on a Friday. When we walked in, there was only one other table. Shocking, but it was the off season and a weekday. My boyfriend ordered the frenchie burger and it was really good! It had a lot of flavor! I was eating more of his burger than my Mac lol. Overall, the food can be good depending on what you order. I ordered the Cheese Curd Burger and a shake with a bunch of cookies on it and wow what a combo! The burger was absolutely delicious. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with crispy cheese curds stacked on top that added the perfect amazing cheesy goodness it also had a really cool logo on it which I thought was very very good. Our family had a few items, and we starter our meal with two appetizers: the cheese curds and the "Three Napkin Poutine". The cheese curds were delicious - squeaky curds and good but not too-thick breading made these absolutely delicious. However, at $14.00, the cost was really high for these...especially since the cheese curds are local! The three napkin poutine was the same price, and featured crispy fries with delicious toppings, including thick heavy gravy. These were quite filling so I only had a few bites and this was the only thing that was not finished. My son had the Morning After Burger, featuring bacon, egg, and cheese - simple and delicious combination, but my son mentioned that the burger was kind of dry. My burger, the Cheesehead, was delicious and cheesy. I would definitely get this again if I returned. Overall, our ticket for 5 was $93.27 before tip, which is very reasonable.
