Love coming here for weekend brunch. They open at 9am! All the iconic eggs, bread, fries, avocados for breakfast; many other more savory (heavier) items for those who want lunch food. Service is much better and friendlier than closter location. Very spacious inside. 2 floors. Usually no wait. But parking lot is a little small.

PROS: This is a very nice place to eat. Staff is nice, food is healthy and fresh, prices are great, atmosphere is barn-like, and menu variety is plentiful. Food comes out fast and they even have both indoor and outdoor seating CONS: The location isn't the best and the parking lot is tiny. OVERALL: I will definitely come back here in the future and I suggest you do the same

Lovely place in the middle of nowhere. This Farmhouse is one of two locations. I've visited the other one in Westwood, NJ and the comparison is not made equal. The Westwood location is bigger with higher volume of people so there is a wait. As for this location it's more of the comfy feel. You can have that quiet experience whether on a date or with your kids. The food here is made fresh to order. You can taste it with every bite for sure. The menu is geared more on the Israeli background which makes it unique and none like any other. So it will have you coming back for more. The dining area at this location is quite charming. With all the little details it makes it a lovely experience. Coupled with great friendly staff this location will make your evening or day.

Double check your bills. Among many visits to Farmhouse, I had this unpleasant, weird experience "after" dining when the check arrived & the credit card transaction. What was weird was that the bill came to $45, and after the credit card transaction it was around $52 something .... maybe about 18% tip already added ....???? Hummmmm Asked one of the servers regarding this auto tipping, and he answered "yes", that it has been happening for a couple of months. So, I wrote "Included" in the gratuity section, and signed the $52 bill. Well, to my surprise, one of the guys ram after us into the parking and commented that tip is not included automatically and corrected me. The story ends : our server had given us the wrong check, the server had give me the wrong information (wouldn't like to say he lied .....), and I am thankful I remembered the8 amount for my bill. So, a good habit for me to develop from now on at any restaurant. Check your bills. And I understand weekends can be busy, but it was sooooooo hard to get someone or anyone's attention. They have their backs to the dining hall while putting in info at the register, so obviously if sitting at the far end, it could take forever.

Visited Farmhouse Cafe for a late lunch with my family on a Sunday. I think the restaurant used to be a barn? The decor is pretty rustic, lots of wood and glass windows. We were seated quickly, and they took our drink orders. I ordered the Rockfeller Shakshouka. It was an interesting take on shakshouka, which had the poached eggs floating in a pool of spinach, artichoke, goat cheese, crab, and mozzarella. It's a lot heavier than a regular shakshouka, but who doesn't love a good spinach and artichoke dip? It came with pita, fries, and a Greek salad, so it was quite a hearty meal. I sampled a few other dishes, but none particularly stood out. A bit out of the way, but not a bad place for breakfast/lunch/brunch.

My family stopped for lunch here today. We came in close to 2PM and there was hardly a wait for our party of 5. The staff quickly took our drink orders and returned quickly so we could order food. I went with the Salmon Eggs Benedict with home fried. It was exactly what I expected. The portion was generous and it tasted good. The home fries were also cooked well. Bits were well done which added a welcome crunch to them. I sampled my brother's Rockefeller Shakshouka and I enjoyed it very much. I had never had shakshouka before so I can't speak to whether it is a faithful rendition, butt it was definitely tasty. I also had a bit of my father's hamburger. It wasn't bad but it was lacking a little in flavor to me. The meat itself was good and cooked medium well just like my dad ordered (personally I order burgers medium). That said I probably would stay away from the burgers on subsequent visits. My mom and sister seemed to enjoy their food as well. Service was friendly and the rustic/farmhouse aesthetic made for a quaint atmosphere. I like that they have the option for outdoor dining (not an option for a 100°F day though). I could see myself coming back here someday.

DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THEIR WEBSITE! I probably would've given them a 3 star review until our last order. We placed an order for deliver from their website. They use DoorDash to deliver. I don't have a DoorDash account. My order came with the salad pretty destroyed. They probably shouldn't have put a hard plastic container with hot food on top of a cardboard salad box. The receipt states to contact the restaurant (not doordash) with any issues. Called to ask for a refund on one food item and the tip. I was told a manager would reach out. A manager hadn't called after 48 hrs so I gave them a call back to be told that the food left their restaurant in perfect condition and I had to take it up with Doordash if my salad "arrived shaken," which was not how i described it. Never ordering from them again, and the cute atmosphere isn't enough to get me to dine in again for mediocre food.

Had brunch on Sunday morning at 10am and sat outside. Ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, the shakshuka, and an Arnold palmer. Our waiter was excellent, hospitable, checked in on how the food was, and took our order in a timely manner. Will come back!

***2 1/2 stars*** Our brunch at Farmhouse was a reminder that regardless of the quality of the food/menu, the service will make or break the experience. My chum and I came here for a post-hike brunch on Saturday afternoon after the lunch rush. After mild drama trying to figure out how to navigate around the slightly confusing traffic patterns nearby in downtown Cresskill, we easily found a spot right by the door and were seated almost immediately. It was a little too nippy for it, but the outdoor seating looks very appealing; there's a bit of a vineyard vibe to it, with a patio area covered by a wooden arbor/roof. The interior also had a pleasant atmosphere; they understandably went with a rustic farmhouse theme, along with excellent lighting - one side of the restaurant is almost all windows. A good choice. I ordered the Brioche French Toast with Strawberries (about $15), which were perfectly fine. They absolutely needed the accompanying syrup for flavoring purposes - even with the strawberries, it was a bit bland/flavorless. That's usually not the case in my experience. Maybe they need to add more butter in the prep process? I wouldn't avoid it in the future, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. My chum got the Grilled Atlantic Salmon Sandwich (about $18). From my vantagepoint, it looked to be 75% toppings and 25% salmon, which she didn't dispute. Regardless, she enjoyed it a great deal and thought it quite tasty. She also ordered a cold mocha that visually had a lot to be desired. I've attached a picture hereto, and you can see they didn't bother to mix the chocolate - it looks more like a chocolate milk you'd order from a diner than a higher-class latte variation, but she said it tasted like it should, which is the most important thing. What would have been at least an average brunch experience unfortunately was marred by uneven service and what looked from my perspective to be badly managed staff. I don't know if a manager or supervisor was on the premises when we were there, but it certainly didn't look like it. When I went to use the bathroom, cutting through the front/small bakery area, there were three or four employees just standing around gazing sullenly at either me or their cell phones. I don't expect a welcoming committee everywhere I go in a restaurant, but I'm also not crazy about feeling like I'm in the way or interrupting a riveting game of Candy Crush. They all looked to be around college-age so there probably wasn't a lot of professional job experience there, but the idea that someone hasn't given them constructive feedback about basic human interaction with customers and taking breaks (assuming some of them were on them) in a private area off the floor is a little eyebrow-raising to me. Our waiter was pleasant enough but there were a few occasions during our meal where he disappeared for large chunks of time. For instance, he came by our table quickly to confirm drinks (so quickly we hadn't had a chance to look at the drink section of the menu and just asked for waters to start), but then didn't show up again for 10 minutes. That would have been easier to swallow if the restaurant had been crowded (I'd say three or four other tables were occupied at the time) and if we didn't have visual evidence to confirm that employees were twiddling their thumbs in the next room. But the food itself came out fairly quickly upon ordering, so you could argue some of the issues there cancel out. There's definitely potential, and clearly a lot of investment has gone into the interior/exterior design to great effect. But based on our meal, they may want to divert some of their resources to staff training.

Really love farmhouse! The food is consistent and there is something for everyone! The portions are a good size and the ingredients are fresh. Some of my faves are the grilled vegetable salad, tomato soup, and grilled chicken wrap.

Ate there Friday around 6:00 PM, so noisy with kids running around & screaming, a friend from work came in with her husband, sat down & then left. I ordered the fajitas & my husband had the quesadilla the server came back telling me there's no chicken, now it's Friday the beginning of the weekend & you didn't buy chicken? I ended up with the beef/lamb kebab which was awful & much too spicy. I asked where the lamb was & was told it's all ground together into a pattie, who came up with that idea? I took it home & ended up throwing it out. We will never go back. (The one in Westwood isn't much better). Don't waste your money unless you have small children. read more

Excellent local brunch restaurant. It's very cute too with a little playground outside. They also have a little bakery and take out place inside. The staffs are really friendly. The food portion is huge and the ingredients they use are very fresh. It's a great place for family and friends. All of their dishes are excellent and also I like their coffee. Everything is good but my favorite is the avocado toast. Unlike other typical avocado toasts that have little pieces of avodaco or thin layer of avocado spread, this restaurant serves huge chunks of avocado on the toast with big pieces of tomato. It is the best avocado toast I have tried. read more

I enjoy the breakfast tacos, strawberry pancakes, and shakshuka- it almost difficult to select one so I get it all... just for myself and I take whatever left over home. It's weird that the staff are all kiddos and generally seem unenthused to be there but food is good. read more

Went on a whim for a Sunday brunch. Good decision. I had the Huevos Rancheros and was very happy with my choice. The corn tortilla chips appear to be home made. They were topped with Black Beans, Jack Cheese, Avocado slices, Chicken Sausage Hash and Ranchero Sauce topped off with two Eggs Over Easy. Real comfort food. I was so full that I didn't even have dinner. The Ranchero Sauce had the perfect little kick to it. Our server, Kyle, was great. Coffee was on the strong side, but I liked it. Nice atmosphere. I look forward to trying other interesting menu items on future visits. Recommended. read more

Came here on a Saturday- there was no wait, which was nice. Our waitress was very friendly. The ambiance was nice. Food was good. The turkey club was special with the addition of Granny Smith apples. When i worked in NYC late 80s i used to regularly buy soup from Seinfeld's 'Soup "Brute", it was worth the abuse and high price. Now i can go to the Farmhouse, get same quality soup from people who are generous and kind. Best tomato soup i've Ever eaten. Excellent Lentil Soup. read more

This used to be my go to spot for healthy and delicious food, however the prices surge has remained outrageous. I paid $60 for hummus, salad and sandwich. I don't know how we're supposed to support small and local businesses with prices surges like they have. We work hard for our money and restaurants are still using Covid as an excuse to hike up their prices and charge for every little thing extra. read more

Ordered 2 burgers. Had to buy a cookie to make the order reach the $25 delivery min. Food comes, looks ok.. But sweat potato fries were under cooked and gross. And both burgers that were ordered medium/ medium well. We're bright pink! I couldn't even eat it. And the icing on the cake... THEY FORGOT MY COOKIE!!!! Lots of bad reviews here but I had a pleasant experience. One star off for the high prices and another star deducted for no wait staff. I usually don't mind order and pay at the counter but this restaurant is too big for the concept. They have a row of high tops by the counter, a row of tables by the windows, a bunch of tables outside and a whole second floor with tables. The space is beautiful. The lodge is filled with warm wood and quirky artwork splashed here and there. Nora Jones blasting through the planks. The coffee is good and strong but sadly no free refills. I enjoyed my omelet with spinach, tomato, feta and chicken sausage. The multigrain toast that accompanied my meal was so delicious. I need to find the bakery they use. I had a bite of the breakfast burrito and it was not as great. I would stop by regularly if the prices weren't so high. Until then I'll be back when in the area. read more

The parking lot is a bit small and cramped. We got here and we were told to grab whatever table we want. We chose one by the window. Then someone else came over and said they had a big group coming. By the time we were already ordering and eating, the table still hadn't arrived. So, that means we could have sat there. Also, the hostess never bothered to tell the waiter, who was super nice, and tried to get us back at the window but we were fine. I had the pumpkin latte as recommended by the waiter and yes, it was delicious. I got the farmhouse breakfast ($11) with pancakes, sunny side up eggs and gave my bacon to my bf since I'm not a fan of bacon. (I KNOW, shocker!) I got it with a side of sourdough bread and salad. My friends had ordered the hash browns with theirs, which I have to say, was delicious and definitely better than most hash browns I've had. They were super nice and didn't rush us as we caught up at the end over some refills of more coffee. We felt bad when we went downstairs and saw the huge line that had formed after we were there. Definitely would come back! read more

I would say for brunch, this place gets the job done. Usually the food and service is great. But I wouldn't say, it's the best. I get the shakshuka or the farmhouse breakfast platter during my visits. Like I said, it's not the best I've had but it's still good! read more

This is a really cute little spot for dinner! Came here on Friday night around 8 and was seated right away. It seemed a little busy although the restaurant wasn't completely full. It's BYOB, which I looked up ahead of time so we came prepared with a bottle of wine. I ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the marinated grilled chicken salad. Both dishes were delicious and came out with in a reasonable amount of time. Good sized portions for the price! My only issue was the waiter took a while to take our drink orders, but like I said it seemed a little busy. Will come back again! read more

Really channeled the farmhouse feel with the decor. Dayroom heated dining area . Outdoor seatings. Ever changing menu and they take classic meals and revamp them to their own. Food is fresh, servers are attentive. Downside- limited parking and wait time for food was a bit excessive mid week at 3pm but overall a must go if your in the area read more

I've been transforming my place with the rustic farmhouse look and obsessing over it. My boyfriend took me here as a surprise lunch date. I loved the ambience! Warm and cozy feels. They played Christmas music. Their service was excellent. They were very informative about their menu and attentive. I ordered their chicken avocado salad. Salads seem to be their best sellers here; as there were at least one salad coming out of the kitchen with every order. He had their breaded chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries. Their food was delicious. I look forward to trying out other options from their menu. read more

My favorite new spot for breakfast/brunch. My go to is the shakshouka with a green tea. One day I will branch out, but it's so good each time I can't help ordering it! Eggs with veggies and spices, pit, homemade hummus and a salad on the side. A fantastic authentic Mediterranean breakfast right here in N.J. The tea is served in a glass mug, which some how feels cleaner and nicer than a regular mug (and perhaps makes the tea taste better?) I have only sat upstairs, which is light and airy with windows that cover one wall. Makes the area feel spacious even when it's crowded. Service has always been polite and attentive, only on one visit did I need to wait a little too long for our waters to be refilled. My daughter loves the kids Mac and cheese and silver dollar chocolate ship pancakes - great place for kids too. The parking can be challenging as it's a small lot, but if it's nice out there are places to park within walking distance. All in all a fantastic choice for a morning meal! read more

Absolutley amazing restaurant!! Been going here for years. I'm upset to see these reviews about rumors that are completely unfounded. I've known the owners and their family for many years. The owner is Chinese, which makes these false rumors even more frustrating to read! Don't let those unfounded reviews sway you! Just left this place without ordering anything because no one came to take our order or offer us anything for 20 mins (we went there for breakfast). And I could see the wait staff just standing around by the entrance (where they have the menus and cutlery and such). I saw one of the waiters offer to refill a couple their coffee, but he didn't even bother to check with the rest of the tables around there - just turned around and left. Also the parking lot is miniscule and people just park wherever they want, so you could end up not being able to get out of there. Never going back there. read more

Hands down one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots in Cresskill. The coffee and beverages are delicious and very generous when it comes to caffeine which is a major perk. Came for the breakfast taco and it was delicious and was a good start off to my day. My friend got the breakfast burrito which was equally as good. read more

Great place for brunch or to grab a coffee. Came here on a Sunday for brunch with my Fiancée. The server was very pleasant, the food came out quickly and hot. I ordered the French toast which was sprinkled with powered sugar and fresh strawberries. The french toast was perfect; it was moist and not too eggy. My Fiancée ordered the western omelette which comes with home fries and bread. It was a big size portion and fairly priced. He enjoyed it. I think this is a great place to come with your friends and family to have a nice meal. During the summer you can sit outside and drink coffee or ice tea. Overall I had a great experience and I will be coming here more often since I only live 3 minutes away! Cons: Limited parking spaces. read more

This place is awesome !!!!! Every time I come by for my morning coffee I am greeted by a barista by the name of Veronica. She is very sweet and also helps out my mother who only speaks Spanish. The salads here are great too, will definitely be coming back even more frequently!!! read more

Great go-to for healthy food in the area. TIP: they are BYOB if you want some mimosas with your brunch on the weekends. I lived in-town and heard of this place, cozily nestled little area. Has a "country charm" appearance. Here's what's no so good: the food! I ordered the lentil spinach soup and it came out lukewarm, just slight warmer than room temp and it tasted so bad, I barely ate half and decided not to torture myself any longer. Omelette was OK, a bit dry. I bought two meals to-go for my wife and daughter: avocado toast and the brioche french toast. My wife had two bites (literally) and went straight to the bathroom... she said it was bad and got nauseous from it. The brioche french toast... didn't come with syrup, butter or the likes. My daughter ate the strawberries and took a small bite from the French toast and announced that she isn't hungry (her way of saying food is bad). We are not picky eaters and love supporting local businesses/eateries but this place is sadly disappointing and will not return. read more

The initial service is pretty good and the food is enjoyable enough. However once the initial ordering is done and the food is out, it can be a bit difficult to get the server's attention for any follow up requests. I waited about 15 minutes to ask for mayonnaise and another 10 minutes to ask for a water refill. I'd say the food is about a 4.5 and the initial service around a 4, but the poor follow up service brings the overall service down a bit. But overall it's a pretty good place for a meal. I wish I could give this establishment less than one star. I was here in the winter and saw a RAT in the restaurant with my own eyes. Not sure why, but I decided to give it another shot. I ordered a salad and found a FINGERNAIL in it. When I called and spoke with Elisa (the owner) all she could do was give me a credit for another salad. Didn't reimburse me for the disgusting fingernail salad and in fact, she was downright mean and aggressive. You would think the owner of a restaurant would understand good customer service but that is not the case here. Speaking of the food, mediocre is the nicest thing I can say about it, and that's complimentary. Save yourself the time and go to ANY other restaurant. McDonald's has better customer service and food than this place. I would like to note that the manager, hostess, and waitress I dealt with were all very respectful and nice, however, I won't be frequenting an establishment where the owner can't maintain proper sanitation standards and doesn't respect customers. read more

Celebrated on Sunday with 12 relatives 3 Birthdays. We have all always enjoyed our meals there and that's why we chose this restaurant. We brought 2 cakes, one was pre sliced so you can imagine our shock when the bill came and we saw we were charged $52 extra to serve the cakes!!!! When we spoke to the owner expressing our disbelief over the exorbitant fee she was very disinterested and refused to do anything about it. I will never go back there. I should mention the bill was well over $400 and she could easily have taken 1/2 off that cake charge!!!! read more

My wife and I enjoy going here and the food has always been solid. But during breakfast today the girl who sat us as well as served us our food was vaping right behind the counter in plain view of us to see. That to me is completely unacceptable and inconsiderate when it comes to customer service. So very disappointed in this restaurant, service and customer assistance. We ordered ( through Uber Eats) 6 salads today. We were not only charged $23 for delivery from Uber, we were charged over $6 ( above the menu charge) on each of our meals from this restaurant! They claimed Uber charges them. We gave ordered MANY MANY times from UberEats and have NEVER been charged these additional fees!!!! When we called the restaurant and asked them to honor the prices on their take out menu they rudely declined. They have lost our patronage and we suggest anyone reading this should do the same! read more

I took 1 star off because, we told the hostess that we wanted to sit on the 2nd floor, and that we'd wait 'til a spot was available, since it was full. The hostess kept trying to seat us in any open spot, but you should never have to tell a host/hostess more than once that you wanna sit in a specific spot. Made me feel unwelcome, like she didn't care that we requested something. You shouldn't run into any seating problems if it's not the weekend. And, yes, the 15 min. I love this place in terms of food selection. Ambiance is also nice. Giving it 3 star because what discourage us,and sometimes make us think twice is the wait! the wait is terribly long, and service is also slow. Waiting for your food is also taking like forever of your time. (waited like an hour for our orders) Maybe that is the turn around of customers is a long wait too. It is one of those hidden gems that you don't want to miss out on when you are in the area. The staff at my workplace has ordered from here multiple times since it is within walking distance. Prices are a bit on the pricey side but it is worth it when the food arrives in front of you as fresh as can be. The atmosphere in the restaurant is definitely unique compared to other restaurants in the surrounding area. Parking is limited in the lot but the side street parking is plentiful. read more

Farmhouse Cafe & Eatery in Cresskill, NJ for a very enjoyable and unique cafe experience. From great coffee and breakfast to wonderful lunch and dinner food.

History

Established in 2011.

Farmhouse Cafe was designed and built physically by the owners, Nissim Hanina and Nathan Kipperman, with the help of a our dear friend and master contractor Ivan Masica. Without his help, this project would have never been completed. It took 9 months of intensive labor and devotion. We kept redesigning as we moved on. We tried to create a special place that will last for a long time and shall improve with age. The original structure was an old house on a farm, we tried to incorporate the old with the new. The wood from the demolition was saved and made into furniture, We made our own doors and windows, when we couldn't find the right handle to the entry door we made it by ourselves. The posters and antiques have all been collected over many years and have been moved around between previous locations in the city. Farmhouse Cafe is a product of love. Our mantra is "We don't serve to others what we wouldn't serve to our family and friends."

We chose one that was next to huge open windows, enjoying a nice breeze yet indoors. We were a little confused about seating ourselves when we first entered. When we finished eating, I went back to the counter to purchase some take home items. The girl behind the counter laughed and said, "I remember you! I always remember the nice ones!" Well, I always remember the nice people too at establishments that I visit. It put me in an even better mood. I ate the breakfast vegan bar I purchased last night this morning. It was delicious, moist, tasty, and chewy just like I expected it to be. $3.00 and it was filling and satisfying. I can't wait to try the energy cookie tomorrow morning for breakfast. I plan on walking there Saturday morning from Bergenfield to treat myself to breakfast again. To some of these other reviewers the prices may seem high, but I do not think so given the quality of food and quantity. Well, I went there to have breakfast on a Tuesday morning with my husband. We were not sure if the place was open or not. We walked in and there were a bunch of college age girls sitting on their phones. I guessed it was to early, but the place was open and I wanted to try this place since last year. A girl approach us saying sorry for her look, but that she wasn't in the scheduled and sat us down, we sat down and wait 15 minutes just to placed our order. When we were ready to order, they said that they have a different menu from the one online and for weekdays and Brunch. The menu we had, only have three breakfast items and that's it. One of the girls said that because they are short staff the menu is limited. Whatever that was I couldn't order anything, because I set my mind on huevos rancheros and it's only for brunch. The place only have a big breakfast for brunch and weekend's and that's it. I ordered a cappuccino and it was so light that I felt I was drinking just hot milk. My husband ordered the Eggs Florentine, it took them 20 minutes to bring my husband food, remind you, that we were the only ones on the restaurant at the time. Two guys came in and they were sit right away, they even went to their table to be asked about more coffee and the service. But, we were not asked about anything, but I guess we were not two good looking men. The food was ok, but the service make our experience not pleasant. read more

We had always enjoyed our dining experiences at the Farmhouse Cafe...until our lunch on Friday! Their staple Mom's chicken vegetable soup (a small bowl at $7.95) arrived half full. We asked the waiter if it can be topped off but we were told that's how it is! Then came our omelette with a side salad that looked putrid instead of the usual happy looking mixed green! We ordered a side of sausage (one small sausage split in half) and bacon with the omelette which their menu states $2 for each addition. We were charged $4 per addition. That was the last "insult" to our "planned nice lunch experience"! We requested to speak to their manager about all the mishaps. Manager Nicole was very defensive and denied every and anything that was unsatisfactory. She claimed that the owner would not change anything on our bill even though we were overcharged for the 2 side dishes. There was nothing done to correct a miserable customer experience! After a heated conversation, she finally offered to give us some soup to go but we declined the offer. Our side dish overcharges were deducted from the bill. Bottom line is that our otherwise pleasant lunch was ruined. We spoke up and challenged Farmhouse Cafe to what was right from wrong. Restaurants will fail in the long run for lack of customer appreciation and being inconsistent with their quality of food. Their customers are smarter than they realize. read more

Finally i decided to write the review after going second time to this place. First time i went with my family and had a seat outside on the terrace we went there because they have outside seating and we had our dog with us , server came and told us that the dogs were not allowed in the Farmhouse even though my little poodle was sitting on the grass and we had the table closest to the parking lot. We just decided to leave and go across the street to eat, where dogs were are appreciated. My second time was today 10 am on monday morning, place was empty one waiter told me to sit wherever i please as soon as i sat down another waiter came and asked me to move to another table for 2 people because i was sitting at the table of 4. I didn't see the reason why she needed to move me they had another 40 places empty just felt that interaction with customer service would be better and not to push their rules its just a eatery called Farmhouse not 5 michelin star restaurant. read more

Farmhouse Cafe is the epitome of a family owned local restaurant. The cozy atmosphere, warm staff, and exceptional food all make this restaurant the perfect place to grab a bite. From the Chicken Club to the Salmon Salad, and even the Rib Eye Steak Frites and Sirloin Tips are all reasons as to why I have grown an addiction to this spot. As a meat-lover, I was never a fan of salads until my life changed as I reeled in my first bite of the Marinated Grilled Chicken Salad. Granted, I still need meat in any salad I get, but understand this was a big step in my life and satisfaction to my mothers eyes. The quality staff will do just about anything for you, simply as long as you're not rude or ill-mannered. I'll continually stop by to grab a fresh Milanese or a Cobb salad for the road as this is one of the best places to eat in Bergen County. read more

Farmhouse is one of the best restaurants in town. Not only because of the food, but because of the owners. I have known the family since I was little and they are extremely welcoming and kind. It upsets me that people are accusing them of turning away folks due to their race. The owner is Chinese herself and is the last person who would ever turn someone away from a good meal. Farmhouse provides a homey and comforting feel while serving excellent food. I can never recommend this place enough. Excellent salads, amazing burgers, and great brunch as well. read more

I love going to Farmhouse for its delicious meals, warm atmosphere and amazing, personable service. Some of my favorites are the chipotle fried egg sandwich, chicken milanese sandwich and the ahi tuna salad. I am shocked to read some of these hearsay, false claims that Farmhouse is xenophobic and discriminatory. I have personally known the owners (one of whom is Chinese) and their family for over ten years and I know that they welcome all patrons no matter their ethnicity or race. I highly recommend Farmhouse for a great dining experience. read more

Over the years Farmhouse has become a staple of the community, not only because of its excellent menu and delicious food, but also because it's role in uniting the community. The rumors spread about the restaurant could not be further from the true attitude of the entire establishment and the owners. Farmhouse has been my go-to choice for a soup, salad, or sandwich over the years since it first opened. Try the Milanese sandwich or the chicken wings - you won't regret it! read more

Farmhouse is the best neighborhood spot for food and a communal feel from friendly faces. Seeing some of these reviews saying they are racist is completely ridiculous and untrue. I've known the owner (who herself is Chinese) and her entire family for over 20 years. Everyone who steps foot in farmhouse knows the staff is extremely friendly and would go to great lengths to make people feel welcome. Go for the good food, stay for the warm company. read more

The set up here is very confusing - my family didn't know where we should go... If we should sit, if we should order, if we should go to the cashiers at the end of the counter, and so on. The menu was small (though vast) and very clustered. The coffee was nice - not burnt and bitter tasting like some other shops in the area offer but, that was the only thing I enjoyed. read more

I met with two friends at this restaurant. It's my first time and they recommended me the place and the food. Medium prices, cozy place inside and outside; it's a good option to have a "friend talk" and enjoy the meals. We chose the mushroom omelette( came with salad) and the French toast with ground coffee. Great food and service! Staff was super friendly and food was served very quickly. My meal was prepared correctly, and not rushed, but still served in record time. The French toast is delicious! Staff was super friendly and attentive! During spring and summer they open the outside patio, it's also BYOB! Iv had the buffalo chicken salad a few times and that was amazing! We will for sure make it back here more often read more
