I did have a partial upper denture but it was poorly made and needed to be replaced. So when I watched the Aspen Dental building in Selden being constructed, I thought to myself that I ought to give them a try as I was not pleased with my current dentist. I was not prepared for what I encountered next - almost a surrealistic experience. I had no idea how much technologically advanced dentistry. My first visit to Aspen entailed a thorough and comprehensive examination like I have never had. The normal x-rays and x-rays where a machine does a full rotation around the head was not new or unexpected. From that point on, everything else was new and mind-boggling. My entire mouth, teeth (whatever teeth were left), roots and gums were digitally mapped with a rod or handle-like probe instrument. I had no idea what they were doing with that instrument, methodically moving around my mouth, mapping out my oral cavity - and it took a lot of time. Ultimately, they showed me the graphic reconstruction of my oral cavity on a monitor. I was blown away. It looked like a hologram - 3D like digital recreation of mouth, teeth and gums. I had no idea this level of technology was available and used for dental care. When I mentioned that to the dentist, he shocked me even more by saying this technology has been around for several years. I thought to myself, how did I not know this? How are conventional dentists still in business? They are light-years behind this technological curve. Next, I thought perhaps this was all just a superficial technology show designed to lasso in prospective patients and then get hammered with an absurdly high tab. So when I sat down with the financial staff member who was going to advise me what treatment options would cost, I thought this would be similar to sitting down with the finance person in a car dealership and here comes the sales pitch. Instead, I got my next shocker. The financial adviser got on the phone with my dental insurance company and patiently, and painstakingly went step by step with the insurer on the phone while I sat in front of her to calculate my cost for the dental plan proposed! And wow, much less expensive that I anticipated and certainly lower than what I was used to with conventional dentistry. At this point, I was hooked - ready to take the plunge from conventional dentistry to the new era. Today, I am well into my treatment plan. I cannot express how pleased I am with everything at Aspen. Dr. A, and his staff are phenomenal. Everyone is friendly, professional and anxious to please. I am thrilled that I dropped my old dentist and highly recommend Aspen in Selden.

Especially the woman I encountered as soon as I walked in -- long brownish hair with gray showing through and glasses -- she had an awful attitude and spoke to people with absolutely no respect or professionalism. Instead of making patients feel welcomed, the staff make you feel like an inconvenience. It's shocking how many people have had the same exact experience, and now I completely understand why. Customer service and basic courtesy clearly do not exist at this office. I will also be filing a formal complaint and report with New York State regarding this practice and the behavior of their staff because patients deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect.

This is , by far, the best practice I have ever attended. From the front desk, where you are greeted not as a patient but as a person who happens to be a patient (subtle difference) to the most caring and personable hygienists, assistants and dentists. They have relaxed me so much that I no longer gag taking X-rays, I no longer try find excuses to cancel and I am no longer tense and difficult during exams. I wish that I had found a practice like this 50-60 years ago. They have totally changed my outlook on dentists and dental offices. Five stars are simply not enough.

I recently had seven successful implants and one extraction done by Dr. Capuano, and the experience…read morewas truly exceptional. This was my fourth oral surgery, but my first time at this office. My previous three surgeries were at a different office. I actually liked the oral surgeon, and during our consultation, he felt confident that he could successfully place two or three implants. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. The first surgery was extracting five teeth, the second one was attempting to place the implants and the third was removing them after they failed. If I had remained with that office, the surgeon explained that one possible treatment was a mesh implant, but estimated it had only about a 50% chance of success. Another option was dentures, which was incredibly discouraging. The difference in the final results between these two offices is night and day. Before, my mouth was left raw, red, and incredibly painful. This time, Dr. Capuano's work was clean and stitched up beautifully. He and his entire staff were amazing, compassionate, and answered all of my questions . They turned a stressful situation into a massive success. I cannot recommend Dr. Capuano highly enough! The procedure went to plan, they did nothing above and beyond what they quoted us. We paid in full before leaving. 4 months later they start sending us bills with pricing that was 3x higher than our quote. I do not recommend using this place. If you do, keep your original quote and your receipts in case they try to bait and switch you too. Thankfully, we have all of our paper work. This would be zero stars if it was permitted due to them attempting to rob us. Stay far away from this place!
