Enjoyed a delicious meal at Farraday Steakhouse at the Isle of Capri Pompano FL. Our table started with an appetizer of Fire cracker shrimp, Beef tallow fries. All were delicious! Some of the mains were chicken florentine, lobster bisque, prime rib and mushroom ravioli! Large portions, delicious sauces and seasonings. Service was great and atmosphere was relaxing with piano player at the bar area.

I had a $100 celebration credit to use for a meal in a Caesars casino. It was going to expire and I forgot to use it when I was in Vegas so alas I had dinner at Farradays to not let it go to waste. Considering this is steakhouse in a Pompano casino my expectations were extremely low. When we arrived at our reservation time the hostess told me they were overbooked and it would be awhile so went down to the casino to kill time. We got called back about 40 mins later to be seated. The server took awhile to initally come over as it was clear they were slammed with many patrons doing the same as me (last ditch to use the annual celebration credit). We got some wine and ordered escargot, and French onion soup to start. They brought out some bread. The escargot was good very garlicy and drenched in butter. The French onion soup was also really tasty, piping hot with delicious melted cheese. For our entrees we both ordered steaks I had a filet ($65) and my BF got the ribeye ($65). We ordered a side of creamed spinach to share. My steak was undercooked but good. Both steaks had melted marrow butter on top. We agreed mine was the better of the 2. The side of creamed spinach was basically inedible. I'm confident creamed spinach at a hospital would have more flavor. The service, ambiance, and food quality does not equate to what they are charging. Their steaks are the same price point or more when compared to some of the top steakhouses in Boca and Farradays is no where near the same league. It's a good use of a cesars celebration credit as your only other option is the deli downstairs. Otherwise they might be ok for happy hour if your at the casino that early (thurs-sat). But to pay full price... absolutely not.

Way too much bloodline for $36. gross.

The $36 Miso Salmon did not have any miso flavor, along with having an inedible very thick bloodline that was about 1/3 of the piece. Roasted Brussel Sprouts are NOT roasted, they were from frozen and boiled, so very mushy with some tasteless white sauce on top that should not be there. $16 Margarita was gross, not fresh, did not finish, ordered glass of wine which was good. Waitstaff and bartender were pleasant, but the KITCHEN NEEDS HELP.

I would give a 2.5 if that was an option. That would be for the bread, the Wedge Salad and the Baked Potato. We were seated quickly, but wish I knew to ask for Casino view table as it was very nice and private. Everyone else was put fairly close together and no music or anything to allow for private conversation. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders promptly. He filled my water glass once early on but never refilled again so thankfully my husband didn't drink his. He got one tea refill but it took a long while. The bread was great and we split a Wedge Salad which was huge and very fresh and flavorful. The entrees were not good. My husband's steak was way overcooked and our server didn't even stop by to check after the server's assistant brought it out. After 10 minutes or more we were finally were able to wave him down. He never glanced over so we could get his attention like I would expect at a restaurant that had fairly moderate high end price point. By the time the replacement came out we were really done eating. The braised short rib not ribs was fatty with very little meat, but it was tasty. This risotto wasn't good and had no Parmesan flavor. The Baked Potato was huge and cooked well so thank goodness they gave it by mistake as my husband asked to sub mashed potatoes. Thank goodness it didn't cost much since it was a Diamond Celebration Dinner. I wouldn't go back unless it was to just get potato and salad. The replacement steak was well cooked but not much season and Iutback quality,

Don't sleep on this place! My wife and I had an amazing meal from start to finish. The service was top notch from Jack, at the bar, and we enjoyed the crab cake, lobster bisque (possibly best I've ever had) for apps. For dinner, the wife had the Stuffed Chicken Florentine and I had an 8oz Filet with a side of jalapeño corn to split. Both entrees were cooked perfectly and we were so full, we had to skip dessert. We will definitely be returning here in the future!

Farradday's was better before Harrah's took over. This is now on par with an Outback or chain casual steakhouse, and really can't be considered "high end" or even compared to NYY at Seminole Coconut Creek or Council Oak at Hard Rock. Average describes it best. Unless you're getting your meal comped or are dead-set on a steak dinner while at the casino, it's fine, but not worth going out of your way for. Had an experience with "Jack," the bartender, who was saving seats at the bar for "potential" high-rollers who "may" show up. Wouldn't let me have dinner at the bar for fear I would take up one of those seats "just in case" a Seven Stars card holder showed up for their free dinner and his nice tip. That was my last time eating here. Not worth the attitude for an average at best dinner.

Old fashioned that had tonic water and no bourbon or whiskey in it. Terrible.

I've been to Farraddays several times over the years, and never thought anything bad of it. Seemed like a fine restaurant for a casino. However, my last visit here was one of the worst I've ever experienced. I was thinking the Caesar's/Harrah's acquisition would help the casino and dining, but I was wrong. Upon arrival, the restaurant wasn't very full and we got to our seats quickly. The waiter got our drink orders, which included old fashioneds. Look, I've had many old fashioneds over the years, some good, some bad, but these were by far the worst. There was tonic in it and the whole drink was clear with just an orange and cherry in it. No bitters. We asked if we could have them remade or just order something else. The waiter doubled down on the quality of the drinks and proudly told me that he made them himself instead of the bar tender. He also told me they had three shots each instead of two. He said he could resolve it by giving me another shot for the drink. He brings back clear liquid that tasted like some watered down tonic and weird clear rum. When I asked what it was he didn't respond and I just gave up on the whole endeavor to get a good drink here. The worst part of this meal was the wait for food. We quickly ordered one item each for the four of us. It took over an hour and a half from the time of ordering to get our food. The waiter didn't communicate with us at all and many tables around the restaurant were yelling and arguing with the waitstaff. It was a true disaster on a seemingly not that busy Friday night. After finally getting the waiter to acknowledge the food wasn't out, he said we were next and it took another thirty minutes. When we complained about the drinks and experience to the waiter, he told us look, life isn't fair sometimes. Sometimes life is good and sometimes it is bad. Oh thanks man! That really helps and makes up for the food experience at this fake upscale restaurant. Great advice. Once the food finally came, it was mediocre. I had chicken and lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster in the mac and cheese consisted of two specs of lobster like substance. Don't waste your time ordering that. My father really enjoys the seafood paella, so if you have a few hours to kill, that would be my recommendation for food. At the end of the meal, I asked to speak with the manager, the older bald gentleman, and he was completely unsympathetic and terrible. He wouldn't even acknowledge that the kitchen was backed up and our food took an hour and a half with no communication. I explained the drink situation and he did not care at all. He eventually agreed to comped the odd, not old fashioneds, which barely seemed to be enough as a response to the entire experience. Do not come here, unless you want to gamble away money and time in a different way at the casino.

Arrived on a Saturday night to use my last 7* Cekebration dinner. Having read the reviews here from 8 months to a year ago, I was nervous. Was seated immediately and water and bread arrived right away. Several different rolls in the bread basket. Took a little long for waiter to take my order but afterwards service was quick and excellent. Of course this is a casino steakhouse so prices are not value friendly but not outrageous either. Most expensive steak is $56 - way cheaper than you'll find in Las Vegas casino steakhouses. Ordered escargot, 16oz ribeye (that most expensive steak), garlic shrimp and baked potato add-ons. Escargot was excellent and the main meal arrived after I finished the appetizer. Steak was thinner than I thought for 16oz but plenty big enough. Potato was big and everything tasted great. Waiter and bus boy did an excellent job filling my water without me having to ask (very rare with how much I drink water)! Thoroughly enjoyed my meal!

Yet another five star dining experience and dessert was DECADENT. This is my shortest written review ever, but just look at the pics I posted from tonight. Everything was delicious from beginning to end and service was TEN STARS!!!

The restaurant was and bustling with customers coming in to eat consistently! It wasn't too loud so we could hear each other at the table. Although they were busy, we didn't have to wait too long for our food! Our server, Phillip, who truly looks like Ryan Gosling was PHENOMENAL!!! He was on top of EVERYTHING and had the best personality and demeanor!!! The fish & shrimp and sweet tea were AMAZING; however, the sides need a little bit more work but were edible. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Massive Feast! Epic Crab Legs & Flawless Fried Catfish We…read morerolled into Catfish Dewey's with a big party of 10, and this place absolutely knocked it out of the park! We specifically chose it because the wife loves crab legs, and they run an incredible All-You-Can-Eat special on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As you can see from my photo more than half of our table went all-in on the AYCE crab legs, and it was a glorious, buttery battlefield. The kitchen kept the supply coming--served up in big metal tins, consistently warm, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by absolute pools of melted butter for dipping. The quality and pace for an all-you-can-eat setup were top-notch. The wife was in seafood heaven! Now, with a name like Catfish Dewey's, you know I couldn't leave without testing the namesake dish. I ordered the catfish, and it was a total home run. It came out piping hot, with a perfectly seasoned, ultra-crispy golden crust while staying incredibly flaky and tender on the inside. The Hidden Gem Bonus: They start you off with complimentary hush puppies served with butter. Let me tell you, these things are dangerous! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the perfect sweet-and-savory bite to kick off a massive meal. Whether you're feeding a massive crew, chasing a killer seafood special, or just want some of the best fried fish in town, Catfish Dewey's is the real deal. Incredible food, great energy, and we left completely stuffed. Highly recommend! Where is the next stop on the Fort Lauderdale food tour? Hit me with the details!

Sea Mario has been bookmarked on my Yelp for over a year. While trying to make some Valentine's…read moreplans, my husband asked where I wanted to go, and I immediately thought of this restaurant. Even a few weeks in advance, Valentine's Day was already booked, so we made a reservation for Valentine's eve. This is not a restaurant I would come to without a reservation because I saw people get turned away. Located in an unassuming little strip mall, you would never know that there is a sparkling gem of a place tucked in the middle of the shops. Parking can be a little tricky, but we were able to snag a spot in front. Inside, this quaint restaurant has such welcoming decor in black-and-white with some accent colors. There are lots of little knickknacks and decorations from Italy. When we entered, we were greeted by one of the owners, Nadia. We had a short wait before our table was ready. When seated, Nadia went over all the specials and answered our questions regarding her recommendations on the menu. Her husband, Mario, also assists with serving. He also greeted us later during our dinner to check in about our meal. Now let's get to the heart of this review...the food. As someone with Sicilian heritage, I have been fortunate to visit Italy and have had some pretty amazing fresh seafood and pasta dishes there. And of course, I've had wonderful Italian restaurant experiences here as well. But I have to say, Sea Mario tops the list. Before I discuss the food menu, I just want to point out they have an extensive wine list. The menu offers several selections whether one is vegetarian, wants steak/lamb instead of pasta, or has come here for the dishes 'di mare.' We started off with an appetizer. Arancini rice balls with mushrooms and cheese. The Arancini balls flanked a bowl of stracciatella cheese. This was a special appetizer not on the regular menu. It was fantastic and dare I say luxurious? (Please put in on the regular menu!) For our main courses, my husband had the Fettuccini Florida Golden Crab & Scallops. It was Caribbean Italian fusion inspired with a flavorful, but not (hot) spicy, pasta sauce. I opted for the Maine Lobster Catalana. I have had my share of seafood pasta dishes throughout my life, but when this entree was placed in front of me, the aroma was so fragrant that I knew I was in for something special. The pasta sauce was made with high-quality tomatoes and caramelized onions (which I think really aided this sauce and made it different). The dish had clams and, of course, succulent lobster tail and the claw meat. The lovely aroma was not a tease because the dish tasted excellent. If having freshly made pasta with lobster sounds appealing to you, this is the dish to get. (They make their own pasta and the seafood is very fresh.) We ended our meal by sharing a fresh cannoli. The shell was not hard like a typical cannoli, rather it had the consistency of a doughnut. The ricotta filling with pistachio was absolutely out of this world. The plate was beautifully decorated with a berry drizzle in the shape of a seahorse. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with Sea Mario. I definitely want to return to this romantic restaurant for our anniversary later this year. Thank you for the incredible service and dishes.
