Earlier this week, I spoke with a friend who had a tooth implant done by another dentist, and she told me it was extremely painful and that she could not do anything afterward. Naturally, I was very nervous and scared. I arrived at your office around 3:00 PM. I honestly do not remember much before the procedure because I felt both excited and anxious from what I had heard. Your assistant gently numbed the area, and then you administered three injections to my gum. I did not feel pain at all honestly, even a vaccine shot in the arm feels worse. Once I was numb, you performed the procedure. Of course, I felt some sensation, but on a scale of 1 to 10, the discomfort was only about a 4 or less. This was truly an amazing experience for a tooth implant. After everything was finished, I was still numb, but I could talk. I even told you, "Please take care of me for another 40 years. I don't want to find another dentist for the rest of my life." I also want to mention your assistant. Her calm presence, beautiful skin, genuine smile, and positive energy completely changed the situation and turned what could have been a stressful day into one of the best days, as if nothing difficult had happened at all. Best dental office and dentist I've ever visited in my whole life!…read more Staff is kind and proactive - they always offer the kids balloons (favorite color) with toothbrushes and toys (great variety of big toys) from the treasure chest! The office is clean with two bathrooms, TV in each room, magazines and 6 seats in the waiting room, coffee/water bar, and a small parking lot. Dr. Ivo is so honest, kind, and knowledgeable - he loves to compliment the kids, interact with them with a huge smile, communicate clear steps to them, and more! He takes his work seriously and gives clear instructions to staff to ensure a successful process. Other dental offices are interested in making more money through unneeded services, manipulate patients, have lack of intelligent staff, or have lack of emotional intelligence/communicative skills from both staff and dentists. From the start, it felt like they were pushing unnecessary treatment. I was told I needed a "deep cleaning," which is typically only recommended for patients with gum disease but my teeth and gums are healthy. The cleaning itself was done by a hygienist and it was extremely painful and caused bleeding. It felt overly aggressive, like my gums were being stabbed rather than properly cleaned. What made the experience worse was that the actual dentist barely saw me, literally just came in for a couple of seconds to say hello and then left. There was no proper evaluation or explanation. After the appointment, I was told that my teeth weren't even fully cleaned and that I would need to come back, be numbed, and finish the cleaning later. So essentially, I went through a painful experience and still didn't receive a proper cleaning. I was also left with a pretty sore and sensitive gum that is still recovering days later. To make things more concerning, they recommended the same deep cleaning to my husband, who also has healthy teeth. It honestly feels like this is being pushed on everyone regardless of actual need. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here!

I'm seeing a periodontist and alternate care between sites and expect this office as my primary dentist to guide and optimize my insurance. They instead blindsided and sent me a bill charging me more for an exam and cleaning than a specialist does. I've had better experiences at my previous dentists as they took ownership of my insurance plan and would warn me if things were not covered. I tried working it out with them but the office staff was pretty adamant that there was no way to compromise outside of me paying the entire bill, which could easily have been avoided if we scheduled my appointment 2 months later into the new year. Or again, at least a heads up would have been nice. My sister had a similar experience when she needed a dental implant - the staff was clueless in helping her explore payment options. She's since left and now I am too, which I why I feel compelled to share these experiences. If you have any outside needs from general dentistry, I'd recommend finding a different office as they can't seem to handle notifying patients that insurance may not cover some of their services.
