I just discovered Fashion Oaks, a hidden gem of a fashion nook tucked away in the corner of Oak Park Plaza next to Wells Fargo. I was on my way to an appointment and decided to stop in quickly to have a look. I was in need of something cute & stylish to get me through and met Grace, the owner. I found so many cute jeans, tops & dresses, and amazing handbags and accessories, all at phenomenal prices. I quickly browsed the store, bought a few things without trying them on, and fell in love with them that I had to share. A little known gem in Oak Park! Check it out! The owner is a sweetheart & she has a huge store with a wide array of brands, some higher end & some incredibly affordable. I personally LOVE her skinny jeans/slightly stretchy & she has tons of Lovestitch brand, which is an absolute fav of mine. You'll find everything from flowy 100% silk tanks that are WASHABLE! to gorgeous faux fur jackets. And she has a nice array of all sizes. Grace (the owner) has great taste and keeps this place well stocked with very fashionable, versatile, affordable pieces- clothes great for leisure, professional dress, vacation wear and everything in between. She's great at helping people decide which styles flatter their figure and which ones don't. When I'm in town I usually stop by here to see if there's anything new. They sell women's clothes (teenager to young adult mostly). Most of the prices are pretty reasonable and I've had some great finds. This place is great if you need a cute shirt or dress for going out, jeans under $100, yoga pants or tank tops. They also try to have some "trendy" new clothing. It's very hit or miss, but when I find something cute I get a lot of compliments on it. read more

I am very impressed with the service and selection at this location, we had gone to Camarillo then over to Westlake for dinner and saw this boutique. Though the lady in the store was busy with several other clients she made us think we were the only ones in the store. She has a good eye for fashion and for tastes, once my girlfriend selected a few items, she was able to find other articles that were in the same genre...absolutely no pressure at all, and left us alone to look but when we had a question she was able to remember and select items that fit into my girlfriend's needs Love this place and will be back for more read more

My new favorite store. Huge selection, from basic camisoles, to workout and yoga pants, Vegas night wear and warmer cozy wear for cold nights so I can still walk everywhere! Tons of jeggings. So reasonable. I got a huge bag of clothes for $200. Normally I shop online, I like the convenience and speed, but this is my new favorite. I just tried to use a store credit at this store and ended up walking out!! The owner looked at the certificate and because SHE didn't sign it, she was insinuating that it was not her that issued it and it was invalid. I explained it was absolutely her that processed my return and that was the certificate I was to use as store credit. Does she think I somehow got her books and forged a $50 store credit?? I love this place. I just stumbled across it last month and I ended up taking my daughter back to buy some clothes. The owner is very nice and very helpful. My daughter didn't know what she wanted but she kept bringing her clothes to try on. Very smart we ended up spending about $500 their because of all the help she did! Watch what you buy, they don't take any exchanges or returns even if you have not opened or worn your item. Bought a sticky bra, didn't use it for what I bought it for and thought I could take it back and maybe get a top or something as an exchange but was turned down. Probably won't ever shop here again and it's a shame b/c they have really cute stuff, kinda over priced but saves the stress of going to the mall. Oh well I'm unhappy. read more

i used to be in love with this store, until i realized how much money i was spending on cheap quality clothes. I would spend 50 dollars on a shirt, only to find it somewhere else for 20. This store has been around in the same place since I was young, and I always know i can find something there. They've got a great selection on shirts and dresses, a few jeans and some shorts/skirts. I always like to stop into this store when I'm visiting the area. Grace is very helpful in coordinating pieces and if something isn't right she is gracious about exchanges. I have shopped here for a number of years and still wear items I purchased 4 years ago because they have held up so well. Items at Forever 21 might cost a little less, but you have to brave the blaring music and overwhelming environment, which I find downright stressful. Wish I could give this store zero stars. I was appalled by the lack of professionalism here today. As a busy mom, I rarely get to go shopping. But as I was doing my errands, a $10 tank top on the outside rack caught my eye. I had this one item and went into the open dressing room to try it on. The clerk stormed up behind me and loudly declared, "That's not going to fit you!" She snatched it out of my hands and added, "It's a small!" I am of AVERAGE build (size 10) and this was an extremely generous flowing tank top. I'm sure a woman in her 9th month of pregnancy could have even worn it, let alone me. Not to mention if it's my 10 bucks, she should be happy to make a potential sale. I was shocked by her audacity and just responded, "Uh, I can try, right?" She sarcastically answered, "I guess." But by then I had moved from embarrassment to anger. No thanks. As I walked out, she had the gall to tell me she had plenty of other cute larger tops to show me. Is this woman insane? If this was the owner, shame on you. And if this is one of your employees, you certainly need to school her on better customer care. Long story short, unless you're a size 0 or feel like having your confidence killed, stay the heck away. Oak Park can certainly do better. This place is lacking quality and most importantly, tact. read more
