I have been eyeing a Polène bag for a few months now and finally got myself to the store in NYC to look at it in person. The one I was eyeing online they had in stock but, I actually went with another bag instead. It was the same style, size but different material that I actually went with. I felt that the customer service was great. When you go into the store you have like your own personal worker to help you with any questions you have. The store itself is pretty and simple. All the bags are displayed on the shelves in an organized manner. The only downside of this store is that they only like let 4 people in at a time and this store is not a small store. So, I had to wait in line. And the rude security officer. read more

Terrible people, terrible company. it's 96 degrees in NYC and they are making customers wait outside, there are a few sales associates, a huge security guard (inside in the AC) and only 3 customers in the store. I'm a local New Yorker, the other people waiting are in town from elsewhere as this is the only retail store in the country. Customer service is a disaster. If anything happens to your bag or you need to get in touch with them, rest assured they will DO NOTHING and it will take FOREVER. IT is seriously the most disgraceful customer service on the entire planet. I will definitely not buy another one because the strap started fraying after a few months and noone ever answers the phone either at the store or at the customer service number. Got my first Polene bag during my last visit to NY. I am so glad I got to see the bags in person because I found I didn't like some that I thought I would just by looking at the online pictures. The customer service was superb. Whoever was the Asian girl working 1/16/25 was AMAZING. She was extremely patient and was more focused on customer satisfaction rather than making a sale. She even took the time to monogram my bag. She told us about how the store uses leftover leather to create unique keychains. None of them fit the aesthetic or were proportionate to my bag but I appreciated the information. I hope during my next visit they'll have a keychain piece that works out! Recently visited because I was intrigued by their items. Very minimal looking and the purses were reasonably priced compared to different high end brands. I bought a wallet and a purse, and loved how they were able to put your initials on your item. Keep in mind, once you put your initials--you aren't able to return if you have a change of heart. They can get busy, but if you know what you want--it'll be a fast transaction. read more

Beautiful store however I didn't find anything unique to write home about. Since LVMH acquired them I feel like the prices have gone up. The nice thing is you can still go inside and touch and feel the bags without having to worry about being judged. We were looking and no one offered to help us so we didn't buy anything. Don't get the hype of the store. A couple of years ago before Polène bags became mainstream popular were good quality and a fair price (un was $180-280 depending on what year you reference), but now that same bag I think is $480. Even with inflation, in my humble opinion, it's not worth $480, especially when I know the original price. It was so busy inside and not once did a sales associate greet me. We got so lucky that there were only two people ahead of us in the line. We immediately were able to enter and the store interior is so aesthetically pleasing. I just loved how everything was set up. Best customer service!! Our two SAs who was helping us were super friendly, helpful and full of energy! They made our experience super memorable and even helped us pick out which bags to get since there were two many options to choose from. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I waited in line for an hour to buy an expensive purse at the store while on vacation. Not only did it break within the first three times of wearing it, but since it was under warranty, they had me ship it back to them to fix. It was lost during the shipping/repair process. I've reached out multiple times and the brand is refusing to replace the item or issue a refund--even though it wasn't my fault. I'd appreciate help resolving this ASAP. Oh wow... I love this store! The staff are all so attentive and warm, and welcoming. Something you don't quite see at some of the other shops (ahem... those big name brands) can be quite cold. The collection is limited but so cute! I can see why some of the influencers brags about this brand. The leather quality is pretty good, the color, concept and design... wow, for a mid-range price tag, this is a good purchase. My friend bought a beautiful taupe pebble grain leather bag... and it's gorgeous. I might be convinced to get one myself... when my Xmas shopping is done, this would be a nice self treat! read more

I purchased the Cyme recently at this Polène location, and while I walked into the store with a plan, I couldn't help but spend another hour trying out the other bags displayed. The showroom is quite beautiful and spacious and the staff is amazing and knowledgable about the entire collection. They offer free monogramming services on-site, and if you change your mind about monogramming like me, you can always bring your bag back for the service with your receipt of purchase. For the quality of the leather and design, Polène bags, in my opinion, are very well worth the price tag (even with the recent price hike). read more

I absolutely ADORE this store so much!!!! I first visited this location in August, and was blown away! I had previously visited the Paris location a month earlier and was disappointed by the lack of customer service and lack of stock of the bags and colors I wanted. Although the pricing in Paris was better, the customer service at the SoHo store cannot be beat. I absolutely adored all of the employees, especially the manager Tiffany! She was extremely helpful, kind, and friendly and made me feel as if I was the only one shopping in the store. She went above and beyond to show me every single option of colors and styles to ensure that I was satisfied with my choice, which I definitely was. She also offered to monogram my new bags - this was an amazing free service that the Paris store did not have! Loved this added touch. A few days ago, I visited the store for the second time, and Tiffany and several other employees remembered me! They even remembered the bags I was debating between and who I was getting gifts for - I was shocked! The staff of this store not only makes you feel like the most important customer in the store, but also they genuinely care about each of their customers! Every time I visit New York, I'll definitely be back here. I could not recommend this place more!!! I was disappointed when I stopped by the store over the holidays. I want to preface that it was the day after Christmas, and there were 2 cops inside the store. It looked like they were speaking with the manager. There was a line, 6 people ahead of me when I arrived around 11:30. The store was clean and I love the aesthetic. I knew what bag I wanted, and I wanted to see the product in person before purchasing, as I've been eyeing a Polene bag since 2019 and they finally opened a store in NY. I preface when I visited b/c I couldn't flag down a sales associate for the life of me. Everyone was busy. The entire left side of the store has bags on display, and some of the right side. When I finally flagged down an associate, she was super short with me. I asked if she had a specific bag in black and she was just like "no" and stared at me. After I was like "...ok" she told me that they didn't have a ton of inventory because of the holidays. So I asked if what they had on display is what they had left? And she said yes. I feel like had she just said that when she answered my initial question it would've sufficed. It would've also been helpful to know that the bag is also on pre-order until February - oh and Polene increased their bag prices yet again. I've shipped luxury and designer and have had better customer service experiences and the sales associates are always so knowledgeable about the product, price, stock, etc. So while I admire the brand and regret not buying the bag originally in 2019, I'm not sure based on my experience and price increases I'll be purchasing a Polene bag. read more

Omggg, I have been digging this brand for the longest. I purchased a bag from their online shop because at the time, there was no NYC store, only a Paris location. Of course while in SoHo, I had to make my way over to look and feel up all the bags in real life. Let me say that they have such beautiful quality bags, amazing silhouettes and colors. I love the concept of the store, it's extremely aesthetically pleasing and the customer service was amazing. None of the nose-in-the-air attitude that you get in some high-end designer handbag shops. I am a handbag lover but have been veering toward more brands like Polene rather than designer. I highly recommend this store if you're visiting NYC or a local. I received a Numéro Un Nano bag as a gift, however upon receiving it I noticed there was a tiny defect on the flap of the bag. I went to the Polene SoHo store to see if they could exchange the bag for a new one and the process could not have been easier. Overall I was pleased with the customer service - not overly friendly, but also not pretentious or snobby. The sales associate understood the situation was was able to quickly help me and I was out with a new (and pristine) bag in less than 10 minutes. Note: I think I was able to easily exchange the bag since I did not take any of the tags or bubble wrap off the straps. I could see this being less seamless if the tags were off. I am excited to wear my new Polene bag. For an entry-level designer bag, I think it is a good value. read more

Polene is one of those brands that give you good quality and a good price. They only have a set number of styles of bags, but they are all so cute and unique. When I arrived at Polene in NYC, I was surprised to see there was a line outside. We waited in line for about 10 minutes before being allowed to enter the store. Before entering, I knew I wanted to purchase the Cyme mini with a Sierra wallet in cognac and was considering a Numero Un micro, which I decided not to purchase. Unfortunately, the Cyme mini was only available in black. I decided to purchase the set in black and had the handbag engraved for free. The store is beautiful and was pretty busy. Sales Associate SONYA was absolutely great. She was so patient with me, as I tend to be finicky, and made sure I walked out a happy customer. I love my new Cyme mini and its versatility. It is spacious and fits all of my essentials along with other items. To protect the interior of the handbag, I store my items inside of pouches/cases and my Sierra wallet. I so want the handbag in cognac, but concerned about international shipping after reading other reviews regarding customer service. Also, I would rather inspect the bag to make sure there are no defects before purchasing. I bought a keychain as a birthday gift from Polene online store and had it shipped to Seattle. Unfortunately, the keychain was too big. We emailed Polene customer service multiple times to ask for a return address but never received a response. My cousin had to send me the item to return to the nyc store. But was told they have a 15 days return policy and I'm a couple days late (from the 15 days). No refund nor store credits were allowed. I would expect much better services from a reputable company like Polene. Will never buy or recommend anyone buy from this store. read more
