Five stars and all the accolades for Persia! I was in town visiting, and while strolling the mall with my husband on Friday evening, I noticed there was a FASHIONPHILE store. When I got back to our hotel, I went to the website and searched for handbags that were available at the Newport Beach location. An iridescent 19S CHANEL jumbo flap caught my eye. I also noticed that there was a sale in honor of Lunar New Year. The following day (Saturday), I spent some time shopping, and I actually forgot about the purse at FP. When I got back to my hotel room that evening, I opened my phone and my last search was there and it was that purse! I decided to call the store to see if I could use the online coupon in store and to confirm availability of the bag. 1. I called and Persia picked up on the first ring. She was bright and super upbeat. She confirmed the store was open until 8. I asked if they were open the following day (Sunday), and she said yes, but the store would close early. I then asked if the online coupon would work in-store, and she said yes and it ended tomorrow which is why I should totally come in to the store today. I then asked about the bag I was interested in. She was ecstatic and said the bag was totally available; someone came by and put it on hold and the said they'd be back at 6, but they didn't show up (it was now 6:30), and she would put the bag on hold for me. I said I would walk over from my hotel. She said she'd see me when I arrived. Five stars for convincing me in the most positive way to leave my hotel room to spend money! 2. I arrived and there were two other customers in the store. The door remains locked during business hours for security purposes. I figured I'd have to wait until the two other women left, but Persia came to the door and welcomed me. I said I was there for the purse. 3. Persia was so welcoming and so kind. She was able to manage me and the two other customers in such a kind and patient way. She literally made me feel like I NEEDED this purse. Hahaha She guided me to a bench and told me to play with the purse. She pointed out how rare it was to find a bag like this in excellent condition. She noted the stickers still on the hardware. She also asked me if I wanted her to model the purse so I could see how it looked in different lighting. She also offered me cold water. Persia was on topofit! 3. Once I said I would purchase the bag, she was super excited and said she would pull a few other iridescent options or similar options for me to try. She did this while still assisting the other two customers as well. While I didn't end up liking any of the other options, I was glad to see them. 4. Persia said she would go get the purse packaged up. Her co-worker came out to assist with the sale. That's when I learned that Persia was new to the store/company! He wanted her to be present to see how to complete a sale. When she came back, she said she found a CHANEL shopping bag and said she wanted to give it to me in order for me fill even more special and good about the bag. I actually went to Neiman Marcus earlier in the day to spend some cash. I wasn't really acknowledged in multiple areas. It took over five minutes to be acknowledged in the shoe department. I went to Louis Vuitton, and the sales associates didn't seem like they wanted my business. They encouraged me to buy things online. The beauty department didn't have anyone who seemed to care for my money, either. Persia was a breath of fresh air and this is the type of experience every shopper should have in any setting no matter what they look like. Persia was so kind, personable, and energetic. I had a wonderful experience at this store, and even after being a FASHIONPHILE online customer for many years and even visiting their other stores, this is a standout experience. Went to Fashionphile last Wednesday and I just received my check less than a week after. I had a very pleasant experience, unlike some of the other reviewers. Cloud was very helpful and pleasant to work with, on the phone and in person. Evaluation was very quick, and my visit was completed in 15-20 minutes. This is a separate store; I think it used to be inside Neiman Marcus. Just have realistic expectations of how much to receive for your items. read more

This location can be hit or miss depending on the associate you work with. I have around 30 luxury items, including bags and watches, to sell. Since the maximum per appointment is 10 items, I scheduled three separate appointments for evaluations. When I arrived for my first appointment, the associate who unlocked the door did not greet us at all. I said hello twice in a friendly manner, but he didn't respond. I even politely mentioned that he hadn't greeted his customers, and again, there was no reply. Right from the start, I had a negative impression. As someone bringing significant business to the company, I expected basic professionalism, not to feel as though I were asking for a favor. I respectfully requested that another associate assist me. After receiving my offers and leaving the bags, I asked to speak with the manager, who was in the back office. Chelsea, who helped me through the process, said she would relay my concerns to ensure that the same associate would not be assigned to my future appointments. Another issue I encountered was inconsistency between what associates explained in-store and what was stated online regarding buyout and consignment policies. The information differed slightly, which can be confusing. I recommend asking detailed questions and clarifying all terms before proceeding so you don't waste your time. Additionally, I had a luxury watch that was evaluated and authenticated, and I accepted the offer. Later, I received an email stating that the watch needed to be returned because one of the diamonds was allegedly cracked. I purchased this watch brand new directly from the boutique and never noticed any damage, as I had barely worn it. When I called Fashionphile's customer service, I was told I could resubmit it at a lower value. However, when I spoke with Cloud, one of the associates, he stated that the watch could not be resubmitted. Receiving conflicting information from different employees was both frustrating and disappointing. I hope this feedback helps the Newport Beach location improve consistency in communication and overall customer service, especially toward clients who bring valuable business to the company. read more

Came at 3pm, doors were roped off with no sign if they're open or closed. Staff member at the register completely ignoring us at the door. We stood there to look up the hrs and yes they were open however no doors open. A little sign would help or acknowledging that we're standing there would be great customer service. i can't recommend chase enough and the service he provided me. i was eyeing a bag for the longest time and jumped on purchasing the item when it went on sale. unfortunately, the bag was on hold by another store, but he diligently kept track of its status and notified me immediately when it became available for purchase. the transaction process was smooth and the delivery was almost seamless. it accidentally was sent to the wrong store but knowing that i had a different location preference, he selflessly drove the bag over to the store of my choice so that i could pick it up that same evening. u can't beat that kind of service! thank u chase! read more

She understood where I was coming from, with the manger from the store they were able to assist me in dropping off my items. It is a small store they call it a jewel because of the product offering it has, the bags are beautiful. Have been coming to the Newport Location inside Neiman Marcus for a few years now. My experience especially with Mathew Cali has been phenomenal. I have bought and sold numerous items to Fashionphile because of Mathew!!! He is driven by excellent customer service and he has always exceeded my expectations in every way. He even found for me a very high end vintage Chanel bag that I had been hunting for for years and could not find anywhere... Mathew is an incredible asset. Such an awkward experience. For context I am local and was glad to have this location close by, but I don't shop at Neiman so I don't know the layout of the store. There's virtually no signage and I kept awkwardly walking around looking (more signage would be so useful for those who take the elevator!). I went to the counter and the 2 employees felt like they didn't even want to be there. Overall it really felt like the employees assumed I knew what was happening. I didn't because it was my first time selling to them. And so they went through the motions and I was left there wondering and having to ask questions basically about each step. And I thought I'd get the payment right then and there but turns out they have to send your bags to HQ and it's only after authentication is when you get the payment. Would have been really nice to know that. Employees really need to treat everyone as if it's their first time and have zero clue what's happening. I didn't appreciate the lack of communication from them. It's handy to have this place local but if I had a choice I would find somewhere else to sell my purses. read more

The service at the Neiman Marcus Newport Beach store has really gone down in just this past year. I'm sorry. This used to be such a pleasant place to do my buying and selling of luxe items. I've been a customer since 2006 and did my business, driving all the way to Carlsbad. I didn't mind. They're wonderful. So I was so happy to be able to go to Newport Beach Neiman Marcus. Very convenient. The staff there used to be so pleasant to talk to. But lately, I've had to deal with that one clerk, a guy at the front desk. He's always there. Always answering the phone too. His behavior is catty, entitled, and unprofessional. I feel like he's got underlying issues. Hope this helps. Businesses need to have feedback. And I miss enjoying my trips to Fashionphile. I had a handbag sent to the Newport location and I was tracking delivery- I did not get a call when it arrived at the store (9isham) I checked myself at 1130a and wanted / needed the purse for my baby shower this weekend. I called to pick up on my way out of town and they couldn't accommodate me before 2p due to the "appointments" I just need to pick up the bag that I purchased - which if they called me when it arrived I would have been there before or just had it sent to me!! I don't need to look over the bag, I don't need to speak with you, I just needed to pick up for my baby shower as soon as it arrived. If you're looking to sell a vintage or limited-edition bag, please read this review, as Fashionphile seems unable to authenticate these kinds of items properly. This was my second time selling through Fashionphile, and once again, their quotes were disappointingly low. For instance, they offered just $50 for a Burberry wallet, which they listed on their site for $300. Despite this, I wanted a quick sale and chose Fashionphile over TRR. I brought in five items in total and received a combined quote of around $500. For one of the items, a Fendi tote that I'd had for many years, they quoted $300. I made sure to double-check that they would indeed purchase this item if I accepted the offer, and they confirmed that, as long as I agreed, they would buy it and issue payment. The front desk staff even told me that, since my total wasn't very high, I'd receive the money that afternoon. With that assurance, I left the store. However, shortly after, they called me and claimed that the $300 Fendi bag was a fake! This was both embarrassing and infuriating. It felt like they were using this as an excuse not to take a bag in poorer condition. Since Fashionphile is a large company, they don't seem to care about individual customers. Even after I told them I had bought the bag myself from a Fendi boutique, they asked if I still had the original receipt to prove its authenticity. This was ridiculous to me--shouldn't they, as the buyer, be able to authenticate items without asking the seller for proof? They even told me to drive back to pick up the bag myself. I insisted it was authentic and requested they mail it back if they didn't want it due to its condition rather than making me retrieve it. Eventually, they agreed to mail it, implicitly acknowledging my request. This Fendi bag is over a decade old and long discontinued; Fashionphile really needs to employ more experienced authenticators. To further confirm the authenticity, I successfully sold the bag through TRR. Although TRR uses a consignment model, and I only receive a commission, I still find TRR to be a much better option than Fashionphile as they are more experienced. read more

I hand delivered my Hermes bag to the drop off location. My items were looked at and a receipt was given to me. I was told a day or two later that my item was not authentic and that it was being returned. Fine, I paid the authentication fee and that should've been the end of the story. It wasn't... I received a second email from them that indicated that my Hermes lock that accompanied my purse was no longer there and had been lost by somebody while in transition to the corporate office. I was told that they would return my authentification fee however the authentication fee was far less than the cost of replacing an authentic Hermes lock which at this point we can't prove if it was real or fake. Never ever use Fashionphile. Find a more secure company. I have hired an attorney to bring finality. read more

SELLERS BEWARE!!!! SCAM ALLERT!! This place is extremely suspect and shady. I've been dealing with them for a few days now. It's been an ongoing nightmare. I made an appointment to bring and sell my Louis Vuitton wallet and purse in. Both are still in original packaging. I was quoted a price. I agreed on the price. I was told "accounting" would contact me for payment. I selected wire transfer. I issued the wire information . Accounting can only be reached via email. Which is problematic and very shady. I received a message from accounting asking for a Swift Code. My bank had no idea why they needed that for a domestic wire transfer. I was told by Fashionphile "accounting " my information that my bank gave me was incorrect ! Huh? My banks wire instructions on how to wire to my account incorrect ? Oh, ok?! From there it went further downhill. Clearly, whoever is in accounting has no clue on how to wire funds . This was proven when I gave them a Swift code from my bank . Well guess what that's for international wires not domestic . It's been impossible to get any help from the people in the store. They tell you it's accounting. Accounting doesn't have a phone number nor is there a manager. I asked for a supervisor. Supervisor is now the go between "accounting" and myself. My bank informed me that any wires sent for international wouldn't be receive and returned to sender. As of 8/3 Fashionphile hasn't notified via phone or email of where my funds. The folks in " accounting" are avoiding my emails after telling me they sent it correctly. My money is being held hostage. I can't get a hold of anyone in store, email or by phone. My bank informed me the return of the wire is immediate. Yet, accounting is saying they haven't receive it. Nor confirmation of anything?! This place is a scam and a con They take your merchandise and refuse to pay you. I'm still waiting for either my merchandise back or money. No one is responding. I returned to Fashionphile for answers today. I was met with lies and condescending behavior from Mario. He refused to assist me. The people that work there are intentionally pretentious, condescending and liars. They refused to assist me and make it right. This is absolutely ridiculous considering these shoes are brand new and definitely worth more than $300. It's a scam and it really sucks because I just felt like they were low balling me. So you dont get lost like me, Fashionphile is located inside Neiman Marcus on the third floor near the restrooms. Make sure you park at Neiman Marcus parking lot for faster access. I had a pleasant experience selling in this location, the process itself is quick and simple. You will leave your items with them and a buyer will look into it. After about 30 minutes or so, they will call you to let you know that your quote is ready, once you accept you will have an option on how you would want to receive your payment. After my purchase, I received confirmation via email the following day and was provided tracking information. When the item arrived to the store, I was notified by phone call that same day to schedule an appointment to pick up my item. The woman I spoke to was very nice.
