If I could make this negative stars, I would have to do that. Range: We had one tech explain the screw wouldnt come out and we should just go buy a new Miehle range. Eventually we got to their one Master technician, who repaired it perfectly in one visit. SteamOven: At this point, we are over $2,000 into repair costs, amost 2 years of time and still do not have a working combi steam Miehle oven. Before we realized they only have one Master tech, other techs came out multiple times, replacing $800 steam generator more than once. Not repaired. Once we had identified their one superior technician we entered a cycle where he would request a part be ordered, the wrong part was delivered, he would visit and we had the wrong part. Now we needed to try to get funds refunded so we could enter the next cycle and try to reorder the part again. In the fifth version of this we were treated to hearing the owner of the company call our valued tech and curse and swear at him, accusing him of all kinds of things... Believe me, this one tech is the only reason this company must ever get anything repaired! We have spoken to Patty, spoken to everyone who picks up the phone at Fast Appliance. If you have high end appliances and Kiefer or Gearhard sent you here, settle in for a very frustrating experience. read more

Less than a week after buying a new Maytag refrigerator, the refrigerator was freezing items or the freezer was thawing. No in between. The local retailer i purchased it through, contacted Whirlpool (parent company) for warranty work. Whirlpool uses FAST appliances repair,and only them apparently. The tech showed up on a Friday at 3pm. I explained the issue to him and he gave me a bullshit story about how they all do that, and I should switch shelves around. He said there is nothing he could do. He never even took out a tool from his bag, never even checked the temperature of the fridge or the freezer. Did absolutely nothing except stand in my kitchen and lie to my face. Retailer trying to get another repair service approved. Nothing but pushback from Whirlpool, insisting that FAST appliance is the only factory authorized company. I agreed to FAST returning, but will not let the same technician set foot on my property. They were going to send their "master tech". Well, two weeks later, I get a call from the same previous tech saying he's on his way. Umm.... No, you're not. This is an update to my original review below. Yelp would no longer let me edit the original. Today I decided to try and do some diagnostics myself since I was tired of buying ice. I Googled to find out how to force the ice maker to cycle while I watched underneath where the pump, filter, and related components are. Voilà! Immediately, it was clear the leak was related to the filter. It appears it just wasn't fully engaged. We have a bypass cartridge installed so we don't actually change filters which is why we didn't suspect this could be an issue. The cartridge twists into place and appeared to have been turned slightly. I locked it back into place and water now reached the ice maker. No leak. So, while the technician may be right that I don't know more about the refrigerator than he does, it seems I'm a better (or at least a more thorough) diagnostician than he is since I was able to identify and resolve the issue in a few minutes once I knew how to force the ice maker to cycle while he wanted to replace a bunch of perfectly good parts for several hundred dollars without doing ANY diagnostics. I feel like this place owes me a refund for the so-called "diagnostic" visit. read more

I'm somewhat surprised about the number of frustrated customers. I wonder if maybe not enough people who had pleasant experiences are reviewing. Also, sometimes, people's expectations might be too high for what they had to put out for payment. One person expressed frustration about masks- and that is certainly understandable if there was no reasonable effort to do so by the respective technician. The service repairman I received was excellent and really knowledgeable. To make sure a screw would not be misplaced, he left it attached to a broken piece of plastic from the fridge container. When he came back on the second visit, it was immediately visible and located in a jiffy. He's very good with people, general surroundings, and for the one I had at random, we seemed to have a decent amount of hobbies in common. Would be lucky to bump into him in a social activity outside of this context. This is a reasonable enough company for working with with a warranty, and I'm so glad I had the warranty and a fridge issue that was manageable on my own until he arrived on two separate occasions. The typical wait time is 2 weeks right now. If there's a super emergency repair and you can't do enough of a "fix" to wait it off, it might be worth it for you to contact a more local fridge repairman and shell out those dollars!! I suspect that as a result of what is probably cheaper rates overall for the customer, there aren't as many staff who are working with Fast Appliance and they cover such a huge area. Right after the first visit, I was texted a link to schedule online. I could not schedule online and that is handled through the phone through a middle man and probably because over the phone, they can consider geography more. There's no point to offer the customer an option to schedule online if the link can't actually be utilized. A closer look at the reviews, and at least one reviewer said she used the online system when it was working. She wasn't aware that she had to be aware of types of appointments and this actually caused more hassle than efficiency. So, understandably, this company can't be bothered with super techy stuff to completely remove what was already attempted and instead just close the link itself or not allow for customer to schedule even though it seems to be no longer used (and for good reason, I'd say.) With noticing this change now and seeing responses by the company in past reviews, they seem to be considering customers' feedback and trying to improve as time goes on. Very big plus!! I dislike how the scheduling can be within "any time interval during that day" including the unknown possibility that "they could show up in the evening but probably not." I can understand this especially with covering such a large area and trying to match up different appointments geographically. A software such as ServiceNow could possibly help with these type of logistics (considers scheduling based on geography of customers, geography of staff, skills of respective staff, feedback gathering, etc. all in real time and managed well), but refrigerator repairs might not warrant such an efficient system and learning curve, and also the cost might not condone to have such automation available for such a company. Also, for the survey, which may've been more compatible over a PC, I tried to do it via the phone and I couldn't put in comments at the end that are in this review. Then after submitting my review with no comments via mobile, I tried to access via computer. The computer said that I'd already filled out the survey. I tried to fill out the survey again to see if I could add the comments in there, but the site would not let me. Completing some adulting successfully on my end feels good! read more

Short version is that they were sent us by a home warranty service two months ago. Three visits and two months later my fridge still does not work. They came out to verify that the compressor was bad, they had been told that. Then a month later they came out replaced the compressor. Within a day it was broken again. They came out and replace the thermistor while I was out of town. I get home to the fridge at 72 degrees. So much for fixing it. Now I am waiting on the to come out for third time and tell me what they are going to repair next. I I would give them a zero star I could. read more

I had scheduled service for my Fisher and Paykel refrigerator. The first technician John came and refused to wear a mask although I requested and explained my serious health issues. He said that is over and I do not wear a mask when I work. I told him he could leave. Upon leaving he said the company should have told him when I called he does not wear a mask. THIS IS MY REVIEW FROM MY GMAIL- I inadvertently just clicked "Continue with Google account" so hubs and I could write our review and that was totally my bad, I forgot I had signed up with a different email for Yelp. SORRY! But this company's office/scheduling dept still sucks b@lls and I stand by that, lol!! Our just barely 3yr old Whirlpool refrigerator stopped cooling, although the freezer was still working and keeping food frozen. Whirlpool apparently contracts with Fast Appliance Repair for their service work. On Sat Sept 25 was able to set up an appointment online for Monday Oct 04 (as they don't seem to answer phones weekends) which wasn't too, too bad. The day prior they will reach out with a 3 hr time window in which you can expect your technician, and that's okay too. So the day before we recv'd an email letting us know when our tech was arriving so we could at least plan the rest of our day. They have a cool little feature on their website too, a Tech Tracker, so you can track your tech in "real time" to see if perhaps they're running fast or slow or whatever, it was cool! Our tech arrived when they said they would and diagnosed the problem fairly easily. Apparently it's kind of a common issue with Whirlpools, whatever, they ordered the part for me and said they actually expected it to arrive in a few days, which was cool. And very conveniently, it was being shipped right to my house - smart! The tech said I'd want to make an appointment to have him put the part in and after they left, even texted me with a reminder about making sure I unplugged the fridge at least 24 hrs before my next appointment for the part install. Very nice! Now here's where everything goes sideways. Wife gets home, I tell her everything and how the part should be here at the house probably Weds or Thursday latest. She decides it's smart if we schedule the next appointment for that Friday Oct 08 and goes back online to Fast Appliance Repairs website to see if there's an opening. There is, and she grabs it. There is no option to check off "install part ordered" or anything like that, so she wrote in the 'Comments' section that this will be the follow-up visit where the tech installs the part they ordered for us and we will have it at the house as it was being shipped to us. All good! I arrange to take off work again. A few days later my wife mentions she's been getting some emails from Fast Appliance repair to schedule our follow-up visit and she thought that was odd, but followed the link in one of them and the first available opening was November 04. Holy smokes! Well heck no, we're keeping our appointment for October 08, it's tough being without a working refrigerator. The part arrives Wednesday Oct 06, hallejuah! Thursday the night before the scheduled visit, my window appears as between 3:02pm and 6:02pm (these people don't play, lol!) Cool, I leave work at 2:00 so I could be there with like half an hour to spare. At 3:58pm I get a call from the company. The woman tells me they will NOT BE COMING after all, as they didn't realize it was a parts install. They only allotted half an hour for the visit, they didn't schedule enough time for a parts install, and we'd have to re-book. Wait, what? I said that we explained it in the 'Comments' section. She said, "Sir, we get like 300 tickets every week, we don't have time to read all the comments." Well damn. Obviously I'm upset and pissed as we unplugged the fridge 24 hrs before and we definitely lost food that had been in the freezer. We're actually going on week 3 without a fridge at this point and things are getting mighty tough. The woman told me though they had a cancellation for the coming Wednesday October 13 if I wanted it and of course I grabbed it. Everything goes well Weds (well except for my boss being irritated that I had to leave work AGAIN) (3rd time for this shizz) and the tech arrives within the time frame they specified. And I paid attention: the tech was at my home for a total of TWENTY MINUTES. It took him 13 of those minutes to INSTALL THE PART. (Didn't allow enough time for a part install, my a$$!) How about maybe  because it was a Friday night and nobody felt like working? That sound a little more likely??? AND I had the privilege of paying $375 for this experience, as well as taking time off 3 separate days from work, AND tossing out food that was in my freezer when it still could have been cooked over the next several days - woo hoo, awesome! Bottom line is I think it's amazing that going to their site on your own to book an appointment ends up being at least 3 weeks earlier than the time slot you'd get by following the link in their email to schedule your follow-up parts install visit. I don't know if Fast Appliance Repair is the only game in town for Whirlpool refrigerator repair but by god if it's not and you have an option to go elsewhere, by all means consider doing so! read more

Repaired our 1.5 year old Whirlpool refrigerator in May 2024, then in August the same issue reoccurred. The first repair was under an extended warranty. When I tried to get an appointment with them in August the warranty company told me they had no appointments but we could call and schedule on our own and be reimbursed for the repair. I scheduled online, got an appointment a week out, but they cancelled last minute via text saying the technician had a personal emergency, so I rescheduled for a few days later and this morning, the morning of the appointment they cancelled again - same text message. Meanwhile my refrigerator sits not working. it seems they are neither fast nor reliable. read more

I had another technician from another company less than two months prior and he/they wrongly replaced several key and expensive components on our newer washing machine which ended up being completely unnecessary. we have a 25 year old Miele Dishwasher that needed repair. we thought we would try getting the old girl repaired before replacing it with a new dishwasher that we knew would not perform as well as the Miele. I am very impressed with everything about this company. it was simple to set up the service call online and their communication system and tech tracker is fantastic. Our tech called and gave us a heads up when he was 15 minutes out, which we appreciated since we wanted to make sure the dog was out of the building. Dan figured out what was causing the malfunction which turned out to be a simple part that could be replaced without pulling the machine out. we are so happy that we found this company and will certainly use them again. read more

Worst service experience in my 51 years of life. Oven broke. Probably just the heating element needs to be replaced. Took two weeks to schedule service for first available opening. Tech was supposed to come this morning between 8am-11am. At 932am I received a call from the tech but could not answer because I was on the phone with a customer for work. At 933am (one minute later) I then received a call from Fast Appliance dispatch stating I was being rescheduled because I was not home. At 937am I both called and texted the tech (and I could see he read the text). No answer no reply. At 939am I called Fast Appliance dispatch and was told the tech is now out of my area and I was being reschedule for two weeks later. This is absolutely outrageous!!! Will Flower came out as scheduled, was on time, thoroughly prepared, extremely professional and correctly assessed our stove issue, ordered the part and it was delivered within two days. My wife pointed out to him that there was a minor vinyl floor indent due to moving the stove out, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, when he returned to install the replacement part he showed up with a protective plastic sheet he inserted under the stove to insure no damage would result in moving the stove again. He was extremely pleasant, professional in his attitude. Scheduling was a an online breeze, and we were able to track his arrival time based on the Tech tracking on the website. Superb. I will never use Fast Appliance again. We had them out to look at 3 appliances. Before they came out we clarified it was $129.99 for the first appliance, and $29.99 for the other two, plus parts and labor ($60 per hour). There were no parts and the labor was less then 1 hour. The service person said he could only put it in the system as 3 visits. It ended up being over $400 in total charges. When I called Fast the customer service person told me that was correct. I tried to explain that it was their systems limitation and they quoted us $60 per hour. But the customer service person told me that was how it was. Bottom line, I was over charged. Please don't use Fast Appliance. There are plenty of honest appliance repair companies in the West Chester area. read more

My KitchenAid dishwasher took a crap a month out of warranty, after talking to KA, they said they would fix it for me and set up a repair thru Fast Appliance Repair. Got a contact # and called them to inquire about timing. I had a plumber come out originally to check out the dishwasher thinking that something was leaking drain wise, but turns out it was the water valve.. so I knew what I needed let the lady know and she said she would let the repair guys know and if they didnt' have the part they would call me and reschedule. so... here's the only downside to this. Received a phone call from Bob the day of my appointment and we had a momentary "oh crap" situation when the part wasn't delivered and he didnt' have it on his truck.... but a minute after hanging up with him, FedEx dropped off the part on my porch, called him back, he reset everything and showed up, made the repair, quickly, efficiently and was out the door before I knew it. Bob was super nice, wore a mask and gloves while in my residence and maintained social distance. Fixed and tested before leaving. I can't speak for pricing(it was warranty work), but the experience I had, minus the part mix up, was great. read more

Scheduling the repair was easy but I have not liked the process the way it has unfolded. The tech could not diagnose the issue with my 3 weeks old washer that failed. He said it could be door lock, circuit board or controller board. He ordered the three parts, which took time to arrive. I had again to schedule a repair appointment, the tech returned after two weeks, and he was 40 minutes late after waiting for him for half day. He changed two parts, and the 3rd one was a wrong part. My washer did not work after changing the two parts. Tech said he will have to order the wrong part again. It has been over a month trying to have my washer repaired. The Tech was using trial and error to figure out the issue-not able to pinpoint the actual issue. It was total guesswork in diagnosis - no electronic testing at all. I am waiting for the re-ordered part then schedule a 3rd appointment. I will not recommend this repair service to anyone. It's awful to do guesswork and just throw in parts hoping the washer will work. It's expensive for the GE and very inconvenient for me. Good cost-effective appliance repair begins with good diagnosis, which the tech didn't know how to do. read more

(He did) 2nd time: new guy came back and installed compressor, the fridge stopped cooling 2 hours later. 3rd time: didn't show up during the 3 hour window. 4th time: opened the fridge door for three seconds and determined needed to order another part. 5th time: we'll see...need to wait yet another week despite the delays thus far. If I could give minus 5 stars I would. First of all, the technician came to me through Gerhard's Appliances on an issue I am having with a 3 week old dryer. The technician they sent out was irritated with me that he couldn't find where I lived. I had him on the phone for almost 5 minutes asking him "where are you" and all he did was mumble something I couldn't understand. Well that isn't going to help the situation at all - if I don't know where you are I can't give you directions. When he finally found where I lived and came in to look at my dryer, I tried to tell him that I thought the hose was kinked in the back but he refused to look at the back of the dryer. I even gave him a step stool to look over the dryer to see what was going on and he refused to use that. He just kept saying the air is hot. The air may be hot, but if it's not venting properly through the hose it takes an age and a day to dry. He got nastier as it went on and I finally told him to leave which he did, slamming my front door on his way out. I called Gerhard's immediately and they told me that someone from Fast Appliance would contact me the next morning. Guess what? Morning has come and gone and I never heard a thing. Do not use this company. They are a disgrace. read more

Called for an issue with our washing machine not working properly. Technician arrived walked up to machine opened lid and took picture of model number and ordered parts without even attempting to turn machine on. I also work in the repair industry and struggle with the idea that a "technician" can diagnose a problem without even looking at the machine. I assume the poor reviews are due to unskilled technicians making wild guesses without first verifying the customers complaint and then diagnosing the problem. I asked for a refund and to speak with a manager as the customer service representive keeps insisting that the $159..99 I paid was just a travel charge and ignoring that I paid to have their company diagnose my washer which was never done. I give 1 star only because it was the lowest option. I can not believe I was robbed by fast appliance repair. read more
