After almost three weeks and 500 dollars , ice maker in fridge still broke. Beware before you call them

After seeing horrific reviews from another appliance vendor Lowes Warranty had recommended, I had asked them to switch me with Fast Appliance Repair. The company does not keep items in stock and direct mails you the parts for them to install. Not a big issue as the parts came three days after ordering. This instance, they ordered the right part but in the wrong setup - Eg. They sent the felt washer for the drum but not the drum with the felt washer installed. So it was an additional two weeks before they were out again. I could see where this would have been a big deal for some people; however, the dryer technically still worked so I wasn't without a dryer during this time. All in all, they do what they claim, the actual appliance repair was "fast." Their dispatch times are not good and usually are a next week commitment. I would say they are either are running at maximum capacity for their techs or are in need of more regional technicians in Delaware. I would give 4 out of 5 stars for the wrong piece order; however, I can see how it could be ordered in error and see an opportunity of some training perhaps. If I need a repair again for warranty work and dont need it done the next day, I will keep them in mind. read more

After waiting for 2 weeks for the first visit, for 2 more weeks for the replacement part to be ordered and for 2 more weeks for the technician to come replace the part, I was told the part that they ordered didn't work and they wouldn't be able to fix my washer. We used this company as an authorized Samsung repair. They charged us almost $500 to fix our refrigerator which less than 90 days later was not working again to find out what they replaced might not have needed to be replaced they knew there was an icemaker issue. They wanted to charge me another hundred $100 to come out and look at it. Buyer beware call the appliance company first before hiring fast repair. Samsung fix the refrigerator at no charge and I'm out almost $500 from the repair service. That's not good business. read more

Didn't get to the actual repair because after waiting 2+ weeks for an appointment where you can't select a time window, I got a window of 6 am - 9 am which is not possible for me, nor was I ever told this window could be well outside of business hours. When I asked to move it, I was told the next avail was another 2+ weeks out. Not cool. read more

My Home Warranty Company hired them to fix an appliance. They came out about a week later, said it was one part, ordered the part and went back out WEEKS later and then said it was the main board and the whole appliance needs to be replaced. That was back before Christmas and the HW company has been trying to get their report for the recommendation to replace ever since.... I just called the Home Warranty company and we have both been reaching out to NO SUCCESS!!! read more

This company was the Repair company used by Frigidaire. Initially everything was great with their service. Their Operations Manager Savanah originally said in an email and via phone she would do whatever it took to help me get the problem recitified. Well that all changed in a matter of a day. I have been having the same issue with my brand new Fridge that is still under warranty. The repairman George had been out MULTIPLE MULTIPLE times and per Frigidaire did not write up his reports stating he was out for the exact issue I was having. Frigidaire will not replace the with a new fridge because he did not document 3 times that he was out for the same issue. The last visit which was Wednesday 5/31 the tracker said I was the first stop of 6 and he would be at my home by 7:40am - 8:15am. He showed up at 8:45 to tell me he lives over an hour away and doesn't leave his home until 7:45. I am unsure why I would have been told that he would be there between 740 and 815. Evidently my time is not as important as his. I have lost countless hours at work because of this ongoing issue. His last visit yesterday (5/31) resulted in an entirely new problem with the unit after he ran a diagnostic test I told him the Power Outage light was on and he said it was fine and pushed one of the buttons and it went away only to be replaced by the beeping as if the door was open and the High Temp Alert was on when I called them @ 4:20 to tell them I was told someone would have to come out today (6/1) and I said that wasn't acceptable I was told by Savanah that they have no one that is local all their technicians drive into the area. This morning I received and email from Savanah stating they are no longer going to be servicing my unit because they have been out 6 times. I will never recommend using this company nor would I ever purchase another Frigidaire appliance. read more

Sorry to see so many negative reviews. Our experience in repairing our LG Refrigerator was outstanding. They arrived as promised within the window they provided the evening prior. Love their technician tracker - very helpful in planning your day around the repair. They assessed the problem during the first visit and ordered the parts which took several days to arrive directly from LG. They followed up to insure the parts had arrived and then scheduled an appointment to install them - about a three day wait for a technician. The technician was courteous and keep us informed throughout the repair process. Based on our experience I would definitely recommend their services. read more

Worst company ever! My initial Repair was scheduled in December. They DO NOT carry parts. It took a month for parts to come in. He came back out to make the repairs. Once he took the Drum out of the dryer, he said he needed another part and would have to come back. The part came in and he was supposed to come out on February 3, 2023. On the day he was supposed to come I received a call saying the technician was out sick and they didn't have another technician they could send. We rescheduled for February 9, 2023. I did not hear anything, so I called them. They said they tried to make contact with me on the 3rd to reschedule. I told them I talked to them on the 3rd and did reschedule for the 9th. They had no record of it. I was livid to say the least. A manager said they would send someone out on the 3rd. We'll see. This company cost me three vacation days. I couldn't take off a fourth day from work, so my 82-year-old mother drove to my house to wait for the repair man. I was under warranty with GE. I will be contacting them to let them know they should not use this company. read more

No show today on an appointment time and date that they picked 10 days ago and sent me without asking if I was even available to be here for that date and time. So I went with it. This company is not professional, they send products to your house that they was not to send and refused to take them back. We had a repair person come out after waiting almost a year to put on my refrigerator doors and they service person left the old doors sitting in out dining room and said he couldn't take them cursed at my mom and left out the door. This a repair company that does work for Whirlpool. So Patty it is ok for your driver to disrespect my mother and slam her door and you think I wasn't going to call and curse at y'all because y'all try to talk over people when they try to explain, make that make since. read more

After 7 visits over the course of two months appears our Bosch Dishwasher is still not working. Each time the technician Brandon came to our house he would perform diagnostics and order a part. We would have to wait 2-3 weeks for the follow up appointment to install the part. First it was the pump, then a control panel then a kinked line (technician fault) then the pump again because it shorted out when he tried to install it with the power on. The home office was no help. They would not prioritize scheduling even with the knowledge that we had been without a dishwasher for two months. The home office was rude to my wife when she called asking for assistance with prioritizing return visits. This has been a very bad experience and a two month saga and the home office has made no efforts to reach out to help us or prioritize the work. I subsequently called a repairman from a different company who came out the next day and repaired the problem in fifteen minutes. Now dishwasher working fine read more

Incompetence. 8 visits to my home to repair my LG washing machine and all they did was make the problem worse. I finally had to ask LG to step in and they sent their in house technician who fixed the washer in a single visit. In the end I learned from the LG technician that Fast Appliance Repair simply did not know how to install the parts. Worst part of the whole experience was poor unresponsive customer service with a total lack of project management. All day service appointment windows were also dismal, especially considering there were so many of them. read more

My dishwasher broke down in early December. I called local companies none had any technicians. I called fast appliance repair. That was in December it is now March and still no dishwasher. I spent over $600 on parts and 3 service calls. I had to run tests for the service tech since the washer cycle times were too long for him to wait around to see if what he did worked. I finally called them and expressed my dissatisfaction twice. The customer service reo was robotic and read from a script. I figured out that at the rate I was buying parts soon I would heave paid for a small car. So I went out and bought a new dishwasher. read more

Terrible. An operator who can use a computer took my call, wrote down what I said, and assigned me a day. I was told I would be notified of a time 24 hours in advance. Call ended. Two weeks later, 12 hours before the appointment, I get an email with an assigned time. Calling to modify was a waste. They MISSED their appointment. When I called, "It was only 10 minutes" was the first reply. They offered to reschedule. I waited since the drive was near. They drove by the house AND LEFT! I called, they said I was required to provide parking! Then I demanded a manager and she was dismissive. She rescheduled but then informed me of the "rules." The most important, was the trucks carry NO PARTS. They expect me to pay $130+ for a hello, then schedule another appointment and pay for labor and parts again.... GE arranged for them to come out because stovetop stays hot longer than it should after the burners are shut off. They were able to come out sooner because of a cancellation. Kyle was my technician and he was very helpful. He called GE and found out it was normal for this model. I appreciated the quick turnaround and communication follow up from FAST, and Kyle who called to let me know he was on his way. read more

My brand new refrigerator started forming ice and frost almost immediately upon delivery. Lowes sent out this company for the warranty service. When Ben opened the doors to the fridge, he knew immediately that the gasket that goes around the freezer door was bad. The gasket was delivered directly to me in a few days, and he came back to install it a few days after that. So far so good. Ben was so helpful with tips and information concerning the fridge and all my other new appliances. He knows his stuff, that's for sure. read more

Bought a GE Refrigerator in July 2022, less than 2 months later it died! This is the company GE uses for warranty work, took a week to come out to just diagnose and then 2 weeks to get all the parts..... $800 worth, repair guy there for over 3 1/2 hours and refrigerator still does not work! When you call them they tell us we have to contact GE. What kind of company does not stand behind their work!?! The GE refrigerator we purchased is obviously a piece of crap to die within 2 months of purchase but I also believe that a company that repairs it should stand behind the work they did. And you should see the hack job he did on the back of the refrigerator to get parts to fit...... First repair with this company and not a good first impression! read more

By far, the worst appliance repair company I ever dealt with. I made the appointment online. The technician called to say he couldn't drive down my street because it was closed due to roadwork. I told him he was on the backroads and gave him a more direct way. In the meantime, I was watching the cars and trucks driving by my house. He never showed. The office woman was extremely rude and said I would have to reschedule. Then she called back (after I asked to speak to management) and said he would be by later that day. When no one showed by 4:45pm, they said he tried to call but no one answered, so he went home. I received no call or message at my home. They said they could schedule me for 2 days later. The technician came to fix my washer machine and said that I needed to replace 2 valves from a 2 year old machine. the second technician came to install the valves but realized that there is no need to replace the valves. The problem was that the hot water facet was closed. the first technician did not do his job properly and I ended up paying $99.99 for the trip plus $90 for labor. Shame on them. read more

I bought a frigidaire gallery 36 induction cooktop in January. When I put it in use in May, I immediately smell a burning smell under my cooktop, especially in the drawers. I contacted frigedaire and they sent me fast appliance repair. This was how the terrible things began. The first technician was Nick. The date was probably June 12th. He quickly disassembled the cooktop and found out where the smell came out. He showed me there was a nut missing from the terminal block so two wires connected to the bolt are loose. There was some burning marks on the plastic parts and the bolt of the terminal block. What he then did was to connect those wires directly without the terminal block. When we put the electric back on, he pressed the control board and there was nothing showing. He told me sometimes if the unit was working under a abnormal condition, the generator boards and the control board may be damaged. So he ordered all three generator boards and the control board. After all parts arrived I have scheduled an appointment after the holiday, which was on July 8th. There were no one showed up at my house. I called the service company and they told me the technician had a family emergency. So I scheduled another day which was probably July 17th. The second technician came on the 17th. I told him what the first technician told me about where the smell came from and why he ordered the parts. He changed everything (4 boards) and still got no response from the unit, no display, not working. I asked him if there was a detailed report from the last time or can he talked to the first technician. He showed me a one line notes from the first service about which parts had been ordered. He also told me the first technician was fired due to unavailability during work hours because of family issues for a long time. He was suspicious about how the first technician wired things without the terminal block so he ordered the terminal block and some magnet filters. Been waiting for 2 weeks for parts and I finally called fast appliance. They told me some parts was not in stock which would be shipped on Aug 6. Finally on Aug 7, the third technician came and put the terminal block in. Still not working. I found the service booklet came with the cooktop and showed him and talked to him about what could been wrong. After 1 hour and 30 mins, he told me some wires had been mistakenly placed (line A should go to jack A, line B should go to jack B. Instead, A goes to jack B and B goes to jack A). We put the electric back on and the display showed a 42. However, no response when you press anything on the control board. By the way, when he tried to assemble everything and put the cooktop back into the hole of the countertop, he kind of forced it in so a piece of metal on the unit, which contacts the edge of the hole, bent couple of times. By the time he left, I already left to pick up my kid. My dad said he called someone and then left. I called fast appliance the next day and they said more things were ordered (harness and harness assembly). I looked online and found out it seemed that harness and harness assembly are part of the generator board. Today is Aug 13. I have not cook at home for two month now. I feel like those technicians were unprofessional and unable to determine the real cause. I have filed complain about fast appliance to frigidaire and asked to change the service company. If you have had great experience with fast appliance, that is good for you. For those who are choosing appliance service, I hope this review would give you some insight. read more

Do not use this company. They canceled multiple times and then the guy actually showed up at 9:30 at night thinking that was ok. Charged $150 to come to the house - pulled the dryer out, pretended to clean the vent; looked at our oven for 5 minutes as it was not working correctly and then gave us a bill for $600. He fixed nothing, lied about cleaning the vent and when my wife called him to get money back after we learned that he did not even clean the dryer vent he called her a c%nt. Was forced to give 1 star but they don't even deserve that! GE had FAR come out on 6/28/21 for a recall on fridge. On 7/15/21, Tech George came out so i plugged the fridge back up but the compressor did not start. He did not install the part that was recalled, he just looked at it and said the compressor was bad. No diagnostic testing was performed, guess he must have been physic or had built in test equipment. At that time, I did not know what the recalled part was until i called GE. They told me the start capacitor and the overload switch were the parts recalled not compressor 'go figure'. Called FAR back to advise them of the situation. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, I was told George was their main tech and has been with the company for many years. They also stated he was an expert!! Well, you could have fooled me! Georges knowledge did not impress me nor would it have fixed my fridge as that was not what was wrong with it. I called GE to let them know the situation and they sent out a GE tech named Bill. Parts came in a couple days later they were installed and low and behold fridge works. Told GE they should not be using FAR as their techs are inexperienced and too lazy to complete the proper diagnostic testing to diagnosis an issue. read more

After several attempts they did nothing and unscrewed my dryer from the pedestal, so now my dryer shakes. First you have to wait 2 weeks to get an actual appointment. they come and tell you it needs a part. And they do not carry any parts on their trucks. The part comes and you wait another 2 weeks for them to come back. They supposedly put the part in the washing machine tell you your machine is fixed leave and once you do your wash after they leave the same problem which you called service for happens again. RUN, RUN, RUN from this company!!! Our refrigerator wasn't working well one evening a few months ago, so we called AAA Fast Appliance. A serviceman arrived a few hours later wearing sandals. He told us it would cost approximately $1,000 to fix it, but he could get us a new one within 24 hours. We decided to purchase a new one so that we wouldn't lose all of our food. We chose one from their website but it did not arrive within 24 hours, it took four days to come (we lost all of our food)!!! In addition, we overpaid by $500 compared to similar models in the big stores and we received a cheap-looking refrigerator that didn't have the promised "no smear" finish.
