After waiting 24 hours and being promised business cards that didn't materialize at the nearby FedEx Office, I walked into FastPrints and asked Mandeep if she could do a RUSH order for me. She said she could and 30 minutes later I had professional cards that I was able to present to my bosses boss in time for his arrival at the office. Fantastic to work with. We use them particularly for oversized prints, large banners and the like. The printing quality is always fantastic, the prices are cheap, and I they always really go the extra mile even when it comes to very particular orders (can't tell you how many times I've given them /very/ specific measurements that the banners have to be cut to and they always come through!). Recently my company needed to have a large and unique printing job done that was time sensitive. We went to a well-known printing company and placed our printing order. When we went to pick up our order, the printing job was completely wrong and was not what we ordered and it cost us several hundred dollars. When we complained to the store manager, the sales representative totally denied making any mistakes. Even though we received a partial refund, I did not appreciate the way the incident was handled by the store. We had lost precious time and money and still needed to get the printing job done. After desperately searching the yellow pages for a printing company capable of correctly fulfilling our printing job, I came across a company called Fast Imaging Center, Inc. located at 835 Marina Village Pkwy, Alameda, California 94501, phone number (510) 769-7999, I talked to Mr. Zaz Khan over the phone and explained to him what I needed and that I had a deadline to meet. Mr. Khan emailed an estimate within twenty minutes of receiving a PDF copy of the sign I needed printed, within two hours Mr. Khan had prepared a prototype of the sign for my approval. Even after my approval of the prototype Mr. Khan called me to confirm the phone number written on the sign, because when he called the number it had not been installed yet and he wanted to make sure it was correct. My signs were printed beautifully and were exactly what I ordered and the print job was completed two days before it was due. Mr. Khan treated me as though I was his only customer he returned my calls promptly, answered all my questions thoroughly and provided fast and courteous service. He gave me the impression that my printing needs were very important to him as well. What a great organization! I e-mailed them my documents to be printed and they took care of it quickly. The workers were so helpful and when one of the documents didn't print as I thought it would, they didn't charge me and re-did it. I had some trouble initially getting a response here, which was partially my fault because I called the Berkeley location and sent my files to them first. I called several times to try and confirm that they could print what I wanted and to confirm how much it cost, which I think was because they were very busy. It was also difficult to describe what I wanted over the phone, and initially my files (vinyl stickers) were not printed the way I wanted. When I went into the store, however, Mandeep and Ana were very helpful, it was much easier to show them what I wanted, and they modified the stickers while I waited in the shop. I then sent a second file, and the results were perfect and very fast (2.5 day turn-around each time). They were also the only print shop I could find nearby who would print vinyl stickers on a small scale, and they had several colors of vinyl which they could die cut and put backing paper on, which was exactly what I needed. Mandeep also sold me some raw materials, which I really appreciated, and she and Aney updated me via email. I will definitely use Fast Imaging again. read more

I am extremely frustrated with Fast Imaging. They were recommended to me by a local business for a sign with table names and assignments for our wedding this coming weekend. We have gone back and forth way too many times on a proof for silly mistakes, like COMPLETELY mis-spelling my and my fiancé's names, even though I sent them via email where they could have simply copy/pasted the names. They somehow managed to get our last name correct, however, the next round of proofs had our last name spelled wrong!! The formatting has also been very odd--one group of names would be bolded, others not, then they keep "fixing" things and making other things incorrect. I'm very hopeful that the final product comes out ok and on time. read more

I have done two orders with Fast Imaging of Alameda, the first was for a vinyl banner which turned out amazingly! I have never seen such beautiful solid large areas of black on a printed banner. Very wonderful job. The second was for a short run of comics. Customer service was most excellent, and they were very patient with me when I proceeded to give misproportioned files no less than three times. I was not in a particular rush, but if you are turnaround time is crazy fast. read more
